| See that's the thing, I'm not too big on Team Ninja. Especially when it comes to them attempting storytelling... the plots in DOA, Ninja Gaiden, etc, are so silly. And Metroid has always been about subtle storytelling (ie: Most games have next to no dialogue, side from the Prime games) and most of the stuff is up to your imagination. So I just ... really don't want them to try too hard and make this overblown or anything like that.
I doubted Prime though before it was out and it turned out to be one of my favorite games, so who knows. Also weird fact about Samus that I heard recently, she's apparently like 6'4 and ~200 some lbs. Makes sense though, built like a machine probably ...  |

| Awhile back someone made a really good comparison about the new Terminator movie, compared to the old ones.
It's like T1-T2 is Alien, and T4 is Aliens. Same universe, very different takes on the series (I mean really both T1 and also Alien come off as horror films I'd say). ...That said, yeah unlike my friends I don't think T4 could even be compared to Star Trek, or Watchman for that matter. Those were definitely top tier stuff this year. T4 is something I could probably watch again and Wolverine, nah, no thanks. |

Also a point about the characters in Watchman, that the movie doesn't handle too well (making them all look godlike), outside of Dr. Manhatten, all those people were normal people. I seriously wouldn't have guessed that if my friends hadn't explained that to me because again, the movie made them look pretty much superhuman at times. 
PS: Also reading the novel finally and it's awesome so far. I'd love to see the movie once again after completing it to be able to really compare them. |

Also from what I heard some other third party is involved and the staff for the game is like over 100 people, so that can be both good and bad. And kind of like with the Prime series, supposedly Nintendo will definitely have big watchful eyes over the project, so yeah. I hate to doubt it, like I did with the original Prime before it blew my pants off, but yeah ... it's just like, the last developer you'd expect to work on Metroid. 
Interesting fact about the Wii though, despite being one of Nintendo's weaker systems in my opinion, it's the first console of theirs to have a Mario game with a direct sequel since the SNES, with SMW and SMW2, the Wii's example being SMG and SMG2. Also the first console that'll even have two Metroid titles on it. And I CAN'T WAIT for the Prime Trilogy, going through MP1-MP2 with Wii controls will be excellent. Supposedly they're doing some touch ups like anti-aliasing and upping the lighting effects and whatnot. All on one disc, that's just awesome. Just gotta buy a Wii again. | You're still confusing me, lol. I don't think it's been officially stated that Halo: Reach is going to be based off the Fall of Reach book. It very well could be, with that title and all, but I don't think we really know anything about it except the name right now.
And the books are just better in general ... First Strike would've made a much better Halo 2, and then Halo 2 pretty much made the book uncanon. (Last edited by Xeu on 06-14-09 03:00 PM) |

| I pretty much share the same thoughts Elara, what's worse is that we've had a few death's in the family over the last couple of years and it's even more surreal and it's just a completely different thing, unfairness, etc. My condolences to the families of all the celebrities who have passed, of course, but yeah. I'm sure most of you know what I'm sayin'. |
