| Advent Children was always planned as a sequel. I don't know if FFVII would really qualify as "movie material", but it'd be pretty hard to squeeze 60 some hours of gameplay into 2 hours or whatever, lol.
Also, they did release FFVII again on the Playstation Network. Which is stupid, because that just means my physical copy is worth less now! Black label edition and all ... bah! Anyways I think it's pretty weird FFVII and VIII got PC releases in the first place. All I know is that Eidos ported them and they must be really rare now or something. |

All I can really agree on is that I don't think FFVII deserves any of the treatment it's gotten over the last few years. Just about any other big FF since IV had a richer world and a better "universe" they could've extended, though either way I don't want sequels to FF games in general. To me, starting with Advent Children, all the sequels and spinoffs FFVII has gotten has basically lowered my liking for the game, especially Advent Children, it did nothing extra with the characters and story and just made things worse.

If you want to blame someone, blame Tetsuya Nomura and well I guess Square in general for giving so much power to an ARTIST. He (tried) to direct Advent Children and has since then somehow had a lot of power over SE releases. He just doesn't have the multi-talent. And well just to be even more picky, his art is absolutely nothing compared to Amano's, not to mention Nomura has easily come up with some of the most effeminate male leads we've ever seen. I think you underestimate the fanbase though, I'm pretty sure a remake of FFVII would more than likely be a multi-million seller, whether you or anyone else likes it or not, lol.

Fun game (oddly the one FF I've finished several times), cool atmosphere at times (though mainly in Midgar, wish more of the game took place there). But it's certainly not my RPG love or anything and I seem to hate the characters more everytime I play it...

Also, Xenosaga III seems pretty awesome so far. But damn, with a full time job and other things, it's going to be hard to finish because it's so dialogue/cutscene heavy, always have to be prepared to set aside a good chunk of time whenever I start it up.

Because it's boring as hell and, I've tried it twice over the years, but I don't really care about it and can't see myself ever getting into it.

It's basically the new thing around my circle of friends and the funny part it's mostly my friends younger brother, 17-18-ish, and his friends who are REALLY into it and always smoke the most. But my friend and others just sometimes can't pass it up. So what happens? We sit there and watch TV or whatever with absolute silence. They also do it directly where we always hang out, in my friends basement. I don't mind maybe having a little contact, but I do mind the smell and the smoke scratching my eyes. I really wish they'd do it somewhere else. Weekdays, weekends, whenever we hang out even on some of our usual get togethers, it seems like there HAS to be weed there now. I don't give a shit if they do it all the time when I'm not around, but it's pretty often now and when I'm there, it's not that amusing to me. There's just one guy in our group who's really straight edge even with alcohol and whatnot, we talk about it sometimes but I'm still not sure exactly how much it bothers him. Honestly this is just pointless but I wanted to rant and in the end, it's probably just my group of friends that I'm getting burned out on at the moment. This is just another new factor that's popped up that's made hanging out even more boring than it used to be at times. It just seems like my best friends are getting lazier and lazier and it bothers me I guess. But I can be pretty inner-ignorant about putting myself above others with my thinking sometimes. Who knows, maybe it'll be best if I meet some new people next year when I go back to school. My other group of friends that I still keep in contact and see here and there, are just so busy with school and other things it's sadly just become an every-few-months hangout with some of them. Uggggggggh I just need a nice lady friend.
I guess with the weed thing, I'm just trying to say that I wish my friends would be a little more respectable about it and not do it ALL the time now, because it's a fact they know some of us don't care for being around it. But nothing changes.

Just when I was getting a little over this, my friend hopped in my car this morning before work started to tell me about his story last night going into some weird woods, while "tripping balls" on K2 or something like that. He says it's legal, but... so?

I'm pretty sure this is the second drug outside of weed he's tried out, along with his younger brother and some other people. I have a feeling this won't be the last thing he tries either. I just don't think talking to him will do anything. I'm pretty close to telling him how bored of these stories I am though. Older brother - Andrew Best friend - Aaron Younger brother (heavy smoker) - Angelo It's funny because Andrew, despite talking about a few good times he's had while being high, and having been a dealer for a very quick instance when he lived down around the college town at KU ... does it the least, by far. Out of like 10 or so times I've seen the normal smoking group smoke, I've seen Andrew take maybe 1 hit. I get a sense that he doesn't really care for it, even if he doesn't quite want to admit it for some odd reason. Either way I can easily see where he's coming from in getting irritated by Angelo and his friends constantly going into the basement now to smoke. He made it pretty clear tonight he was pissed before he went to work, Aaron says he'll talk to them about it. Some of the girls that hang out with us usually are sick of it too. So finally, I'm hoping this little phase comes to an end here soon. Luckily our Wednesday hangouts are being moved to Thursday (The Office and Always Sunny!), which I don't think is an option for Angelo and his friends... so I hope that helps too.

It wasn't bad, but I offended everyone so much by pointing out the fact that I hated it when "she" came out of the TV. How was that ... not silly? Maybe it was just one of those "had to have seen it when it was new" or something... again, I thought it was pretty decent, but really not that scary at all. I enjoy playing scary games and whatnot alone in the dark with super headphones though, so maybe I'm weird.
