| Well, tonight was Conan's last show. I imagine some of you have been keeping up with this whole NBC/Leno game. Basically Leno's show failed, ratings were horrible, the Tonight Show was getting hit a bit too (give the guy time damnit) and well ... Leno gets his way, he's coming back and for $42 million Conan has left (which he gave $12 to his staff).
I think NBC just really kicked themselves in the ass here. Conan needed time, he's more popular with the younger crowds and if he was given time, 10-20 years from now that crowd would still be with him plus more. Leno on the other hand is old, along with his main audience, he's got to go at some point. But I guess that means after 6+ years or whatever since he was supposed to first retire. Apparently this whole situation happened with Letterman too? Tonight Conan, after the monologue of course, gave an excellent realistic speech that gave NBC nothing but absolute praise and respect. They surely didn't deserve any of that at all, but damn, what a man. Unfortunately due to the contract, Conan will be off air until September. But I imagine in the end, this could be the best thing that'll ever happen to him. There's a stir up that Fox might take this chance to start up a Tonight show themselves again, or whatever. Chances are Conan will probably find a new home, with his awesome crew, and hopefully destroy Leno. Coco 4 life. 7 months is all he got. Not even a year. Fuck you Leno, fuck you NBC. | Conan just seems like a guy you could walk up to and make conversation with and maybe even befriend the dude. He seems real.
Leno on the other hand comes off as a pure suit. Chances are if you walked up to him he'd brush you away so he's not late for his manicure. |

I think Gamefly will save my life this year, with so many games coming that I want to try. White Knight Chronicles included, there seems to be a lot of good JRPG's coming out here pretty soon. Last Rebellion, Resonance of Fate, and Final Fantasy XIII all look worth keeping an eye on.

The genre has still been on thin ice for me, but hopefully these are good. I've got Demon Souls currently from Gamefly... buuuuuut, I can't put down Mass Effect 2. I'm on my second game right now playing a Renegade Sentinel on Insanity, it's pretty ... well, insane. It's like the game becomes turn based, hehe.

Yeah, the final boss in Arkham definitely could've been better. Actually the bosses in general could have been, they were mostly the same thing. Poison Ivy's fight was awesome though. |

I'm not sure how The Happening didn't instantly and permanently destroy his career. My friends and I watched that with rifftrax, and it was still nearly impossible to finish. I felt bad for the decent casting as well.
