I picked up a few games recently, Saints Row 3 was one of them so it could definitely make the list...
I can't think of very many though, for now I'll just say Skyrim and the new Deus Ex. But I can definitely say I like New Vegas more than Skyrim, and wouldn't even compare DXHR to the original Deus Ex. Honestly I actually made a notepad file of games I beat in 2011, this might help: Tactics Ogre (SNES) Ecco the Dolphin CD Sonic CD (Japanese) Sonic CD (US)* Sonic & Knuckles (GEN)* Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC) Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC) Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC) Blaster Master (NES)* Fallout New Vegas (PC) Duke Nukem Forever (PC) Sonic the Hedgehog (SMS) Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (SMS) Shatterhand (NES) Final Fantasy IV (PSP) Thunder Force III (GEN) Thunder Spirits (SNES)* Final Fantasy II (PSP) Final Fantasy V (GBA) Final Fantasy III (NES) Metroid (NES)* Soul Blazer (SNES) Deus Ex Human Revolution (360) Illusion of Gaia (SNES) Alcahest (SNES) Deus Ex Invisible War (PC) Megaman Zero (GBA) Megaman Zero 2 (GBA) Megaman Zero 3 (GBA) Megaman Zero 4 (GBA) Megaman Xtreme (GBC) Megaman Xtreme 2 (GBC) Megaman V (GB) Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl (PC) Rage (360) Portal 2 (PC) Portal (PC)* * = replay Tactics Ogre is probably the best SRPG I've ever played. Zelda Oracle of Seasons was a real highlight. It was my first time beating LA DX, but I've beaten the original like 20 times and it's still one of my top favorite Zelda's. Stalker blew me away. Final Fantasy V is probably tied with FFIV and FFVI for me now that I finally finished it this past year, the superior GBA version (better translation and everything). And yes, I don't joke. I loved FFV and think it has the best gameplay out of ... all the FF's? It was challenging and overall I think it rivals FFIV and FFVI. They're all excellent for different reasons though. Portal 2 was top notch. I thought I remember the first game being harder and longer, but after beating Portal 2 I replayed it and finished it in an hour. lol, Portal 2 was way better. I got pretty drunk which is all I wanted to do on New Years, lol. Wasn't the best party I've been too, but mission accomplished. Now that the holidays and this long week are over, finally ready to relax! |

You almost look naked, like your hair is doing some Bayonetta magic and covering you up.

Well I've lived in like 10 different homes in the course of my growing up. Family financial issues, parents split for awhile, things like that. So up to high school I was forced to constantly lose and remake friends, and this obviously was back when we were younger before the digital networking age and all, I couldn't drive, so I was powerless to do anything. Certainly a lot of "what if's" play in my mind about this situation, what if we were still friends, what if I still knew her, etc. It wasn't the most exciting thing in the world and I'll never know if my parents understood how painful that was for me growing up, so I vow to never do that to my family/kids whenever that day comes. I'm going to find a place and stay there.
Out of high school is a weird thing though, I'd say you kind of discover who your real friends are and whatnot. So I've stuck with some friends since those days and a few I've known since jr. high. It's definitely friends and family that make me want to stay in the area, even at this age and all I don't think I could handle another situation having to start new somewhere else again.

I noticed that the other day, phew what a clean up. Maybe a captcha should be added to registering? (dunno if that does anything against bots though). |

I'll probably pickup Skyward Sword in February when Xenoblade drops, definitely picking up a Wii then. Wiiners.
EDIT: Wait, I guess Xenoblade drops in April. No idea why I kept thinking February... well, whenever I get a Wii again for that is when I'll get Zelda! And some other stuff, I still need to play Galaxy 2, NSMB Wii, and Donkey Kong Country Returns (played a lot at a friends, definitely epic stuff). (Last edited by X on 01-14-12 03:51 PM)

I'm not into text based adventures, so I can imagine this stuff isn't for me.
But collecting dem eroge CG's... I do that.

I actually picked this up like two weeks ago, along with the MGS HD Collection, and Halo Anniversary. Haven't touched any of these yet thanks to Fallout 3.
Yeah, I think I'm finally liking F3 now actually. Took awhile to get into, but I'm digging it now and have made a lot of progress. I couldn't pass up that $7 sale on Steam for the GOTY edition.

I burned myself out on this after 80 hours, anyone else? lol, I think whenever I get back into it I'll just pickup my game and focus heavily on following the main quest to finish it up.
Ironically enough I dropped it to play Fallout 3... haha, which I probably like even more. Definitely my sci-fi bias talking there, but yeah I just like the world/story a lot more here than in Skyrim.
