Very tempted to try this out now that I have a better PC and it's still oh so nice at that cheaper price tag. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I ran through this on the 360 a few weeks back and I'd easily say this is the definitive version of Doom 3! Even the controls somehow felt better. But yeah, the graphics polish was pretty nice and noticeable (the texture detail in Lost Mission was insane, thought I was looking at Halo 4 at times or something), topped off with infinite running and guns having the flashlight, yeah. The combat is a bit dated but I had a lot of fun running through this again and the expansions. Worth the price point it's at now I'd say.
The TEXTURES, man id have some of the best texture artists ever. It's insane how flat a lot of the architecture really is in the level design, but the massive details in the texturing makes things pop out so much and look so intricate, amazing stuff. |

Anyone check out the movie yet? Might watch it soon.
Also the Rave x Fairy Tail crossover is getting the OVA treatment, nice! |

How'd that go? I know a friend that does the same via FB and stuff, lol.
I think the middle ground would be ideal. Someone you somewhat know and can trust, but also not a best friend you've known for 10+ years (my situation). So yeah basically everyone has said the same thing and have lost friendships over this. I better get out while I can! It's just double the awkward since we work full time at the same place and have nearly the same damn schedule, it feels like I get a break when he's not around (which is rare with us both being kind of solitary), that probably sums it up that I need to get out. And the more I think about it, the more I don't want a roommate at all anymore. I could budget things out and get by myself, but yeah it'd be a lot harder financially. But maybe I'd be happier anyways. Think I just completely need my own space right now. Originally I figured, I've already been off and on lonely enough as it is thesedays so it'd currently be bad if I were alone, but now I'm just thinking screw that. I'm always very environment influenced, half my family were a depressed mess and now my current roommate is pretty much no different. It's a horrible excuse but I often feel like his lack of motivation to do anything whatsoever rubs off a lot on me. So if I get a place by myself, I'd be more intolerant to the loneliness and would probably finally do something about it and get out more. Also I'd probably get a pet or two. |

Half my posts here tonight probably didn't make much sense, but oh well haha. So out of it tired, can't even see straight right now... uh time for bed.
I did get an epidermal injection in my upper back / lower neck though this past Wednesday. Wasn't as bad as it might sound, but it wasn't fun either. I'm sure I posted updates around here somewhere, but yeah it turned out I have bulging discs in the C4, C5, and C6 sections of my neck. Luckily nothing is herniated and my physical therapist, doctor (with MRI results), and now this specialist all think I can make a comeback from this, it's just a lot of inflammation and I'll have to make some major lifestyle changes this year (ie exercise). Already continuing to radically change my diet, I can't remember the last time I had soda or fast food (well I did forget my lunch for work a few weeks back, so I got Arby's and there was no waiting period, when I finished that final bite I immediately felt like absolute garbage for the rest of the day. Headaches, chills, cramps, loss of energy, it was so bad I couldn't help but find some humor in it). Gonna give dropping dairy another trial soon. It takes 72 hours for this stuff to do anything, so I'm not sure if it's hit yet or not, but yeah. Either way I hear it's mostly a temporary thing and if that's the case I'll take advantage of it and start working out again, probably gonna go with DDP yoga or something and eventually some lifting to strengthen stuff. I'm sure my posture and stuff needs a lot of work too. Somewhere in the summer I think I'm going to consider acupuncture as well. I don't know how that stuff works at all, it sounds like DBZ magic from what I've read, but hey it's old, natural, and I'm at the point where I don't care what it takes to feel better anymore. So I'm all for it and might give it a shot in the coming weeks or so. This has all just been an ongoing battle for like ~6 years now after this double impact car wreck I was in, knocked my alignment out of place and I went the chiropractic route. 3 chiropractors later and thousands (yes I can add this up if needed...) later, even a family friend chiropractor in there, yeah... you will never see me near those places again for the rest of my life, nor suggest anyone go there to get your mechanical structure cracked and manipulated. Complete waste of my time and everything, But here I am now, It's good to finally be on track to feeling human again. Shots, physical therapy, then I might consider massage therapy along with acupuncture, and finally working for that flexibility and strength back myself... I think I've got my summer cut out for me. |

So after getting my injection Wednesday I was told heat was a no go for my neck and shoulders, and had to take quick showers.
|
I've been doing that over the past few days and noticed my face is like 10x smoother, easier to shave, my eyes aren't burning like normal, and I'm not getting cracks in between my fingers. This is a weird coincidence or a hilarious slap in the face? It makes sense steam and long periods of crazy hot water can be bad for your skin, but wow this really put things in perspective. I'm really curious to know if it does mess with my eyes for the most part, since I've had bad dry eyes for years now and my eye doctor stressed using eye drops a lot. That and I thought I just had a weird razor that liked to work somedays and then sometimes not, but perhaps it was this all along. That'd be funny and I'd feel pretty stupid if this whole time, my long showers have been having that much of an impact on a lot of physical issues I've had for awhile now. lol, wow. Google searches are leading me to believe it's a habit I definitely need to change, so I'll keep it up with the shorter showers and see how it goes. Previously I was probably taking like ~20 minute showers, would sometimes just go until the hot water stopped coming out haha... I wonder if it's taken a toll on my hair too. I've done some research on the shampoo debates, I think it is better if I go a few days without shampoo sometimes and I'll just use conditioner, but yeah. Maybe that's another thing that could easily be fixed with shorter showers. The downside is they helped me wake up, but wow it's not worth it if it's been doing all this crap this whole time.

Is it on the official site? Haha, wow that'll be awesome. That's still like 20 versions above 7.0 I think... lol. |

Speaking of that, I am very fearful for JP4... just... it's probably best if it never happened. |

I still need to play more, but yeah I like that it doesn't feel like it's trying too hard for the most part. I'm always afraid of that with things that try to fall back on the old, like ... Duke Nukem Forever or something (which I still admittedly enjoyed).
|
I wonder if this'll be a nice trend we keep seeing pop up from time to time. I kind of laughed looking above at our current banner, remembering the hilarious MM9 "bad art" that's just so bad it's amazing. Things that are so bad, they're awesome... a lost art. I've always had a love/hate relationship with Far Cry and Crysis. I actually enjoyed FC2 and FC3 was awesome, story aside, but yeah I always feel like these games would be better in a different environment. I'm not too big on Crysis 1 or the first Far Cry, but the Crysis sequels have decent ideas but got too linear, and the aliens just freaking suck balls. They need to find some middle ground with these two. It really got me thinking, that I'm surprised nobody has done an open city sandbox in first person, I'd absolutely love that. This has gotten a lot of good reviews and hype, so I do hope it inspires Ubisoft to mix up the Far Cry formula a little more from here, or maybe even turn this into its own main IP. I haven't played much and like I said I enjoyed FC3 a good bit, but yeah I can also see myself digging this even more than the main game.

Yeah I'm just stuck at a wall here. With me having to dump money into health related stuff I'm not sure if I'll make it back to school this year, but sometime for sure. That'll be great for meeting people but other than that, yikes. I'll have to really branch out and maybe check out meetup's around here (been looking into that site off and on lately), or something. My friends at work do their own thing and my roommate is more solitary than I am. Only really have one circle of friends now and we rarely do anything.
|
Back to being pessimistic about all of this again I guess, lol, but I'll have to keep looking around for other sites and maybe try out the premium ones for awhile. Can't hurt. But yeah I obviously have almost no options at this point anyways. Unless maybe I just move away and meet up with online friends in person someday. Been craving a social life so bad for ages now, it's bad.

That's amazing. Does it come with Imageready by chance, or is there some freeware of that too somewhere? |

lmao, I heard the same from a guy at work about the Shatner directed movie. I might have to watch it... just so I can eventually say I've seen them all. It's great to hear most of the TOS ones are good though, I was originally under the impression that only Wrath of Khan was the only decent one.
|
But I also forget there's like 20 movies, haha... not really but damn, way more than I remembered. Do you guys like DS9? It sounds like it gets really good from season 3 and on and breaks into its own. The first handful of episodes were great I thought, but TNG pulled me in a bit more with its amazing cast. I still might consider DS9 down the road though. Voyager seemed okay, but I'm probably fine skipping that and Enterprise... but yeah I totally want to get through the original sometime as well. Like TNG, the cast/characters are just awesome.
