| Very sorry to hear but you are safe to vent and get this all out here. I hope you can focus on your family and maybe some new fun hobbies to take your mind off things, and find yourself in loving and safe environments. If one counselor doesn't work don't be afraid to try another one out, I know sometimes some people just doesn't resonate so it might take a few attempts. Have you looked into yoga, or meditation, and things like that? | |||

| It's one of my favorite holidays thesedays, but I don't like how it amps everyone up for Christmas and New Years when all the music hits, people spend so much money on mere decorations, lights, and all that stuff. I like how Thanksgiving doesn't feel like propaganda or anything haha. But the rest of it... eh. It's like everyone is in a hurry to get the year over with for some reason. So I don't like how frantic things get. But I love seeing family.
Went to my dad's family for Thanksgiving. Mom had to stay home with the flu and it sounds like everyone got it after Thanksgiving. I was sick a week or two prior so I already had that junk pass through. Three people brought mashed potatos and they were all different, so had tons of that and other great stuff. Green bean casserole is probably my favorite thesedays. Not a huge pie guy so I just had some cookies. Had some straight Strawberry beer that was 10% and actually not that fruity at all, it was different. Weather wasn't too bad, a little nippy. My grandpa put up a slideshow showing off old pictures of the family line he's inherited and kept around, so that was cool to see a lot of history. We did that instead of watching What About Bob, which is what they usually put on years prior... lol. |

| Okay I'm taking this to this thread... after a near two week long sinus infection and cold, now I have a stomach bug and feel like complete crap. Apparently some of my family from Thursday got it too, so we think it wasn't food poisoning but some terrible virus really is going around. (as my mom was sick with it and didn't even attend the family stuff).

| I remembered that I was sick last Thanksgiving and my parents were nice enough to bring me left overs. So that's two Novembers in a row where I got really sick (twice this November).
So... next November I'll try to be more prepared, somehow. |

| Ah, Zinc! I always think of Vitamin C. I'll try to remember Zinc next time.
I feel like I cleansed my body a bit for awhile after using warm water, apple cider vinegar, and honey in the morning for several weeks. Noticed a lot of improvements with energy, digestion, allergies, etc. Used tumeric sometimes as well. But after awhile my stomach started to feel like it was getting destroyed haha, and I felt better after dropping it. I guess that will be one of those things I do off and on. I still drink a warm glass of water after I wake up everyday now though, definitely helps jumpstart the day and everything. |

| I wish I knew haha. I've just seen some neighbors do it here in the past during winter. Guessing it kind of helps block out the cold... but yeah. Guess I'm not exactly sure how to do it and what exactly it takes. |
