| I wish! haha Yeah it just outputs like a component signal, so I think it maxes at 480p. I have something similar for the Wii, which I haven't had hooked up in years now (might box up the Wii U soon too), but yeah I just didn't want to deal with multiple component cables... since modern HDTV's tend to only have one input for them now.
I would link you to the PS2 "upscaler" I bought, but it's been years and now Amazon has dozens of them that review terribly, so I guess I got super lucky with a good random one. They all look like weird Chinese knockoffs and stuff too. I like mine but it would be a gamble trying to get one now I guess. Eventually, I would love to get something like a Framemeister. |

Been busy lately with the damn crazy weather. It was literally like 60 degrees on Sunday, when it was below freezing earlier last week, and then we had an ice storm last night. This was the third time this winter my job has had us call the hotline in first to see if the specimens/work was delivered and of course... yes. The day a production based corporation shuts down for weather in Kansas will truly blow my world away, I just laugh when supervisors tease us with this crap. Super glad I got new tires in November since they've been put to work a lot this winter. It hasn't been a seriously bad winter, compared to one a few years ago back at my other apartment with my old roommate... we basically got snowed in. But yeah this winter has been pretty annoying and I'm ready for it to be done.

Yeah, I love using my PS3 for PSX gaming since you can create near infinite virtual memory cards! I bought an adapter years ago to get all my old memory cards backed up on it too, somehow salvaged all my childhood saves hehe. I also kind of like the PS3's smoothing option more than the PS2's, but it's still case by case. Wireless controller! And I put in a 1TB last year, so my PS3 is rock solid. |
That said, now that I've been watching some streamers more thesedays on Twitch, I noticed most speedrunners use PS2's for PSX gaming. Turns out... they load a lot faster! That's good to know but I guess it's not a huge deal to me. I remember Xenogears having an issue playing through a PS2, it has this super high chance of freezing after beating a really hard late game boss, I remember having to beat the boss a few times and finally got lucky for it to get past that part haha. Very weird random issue for that game and PS2's. I just realized a week or two ago my HDTV actually has 4 HDMI inputs... how did I miss this? lmao, oh well, I still like having the HDMI switcher around. I guess I'll also mention I have two Cyberpower 850VA battery power bricks, one for my TV and all this setup, then another for my computer and stuff. The power has flickered off and on here at my apartment, so it's some really nice peace of mind since these things kick in and keep things running.

I finally hit up the John Wick's last year! Loved them. So yeah I'm stoked for the next on. Have you seen the two Raid Redemption's or the newest Judge Dredd (Karl Urban)? You'd probably dig them. (Last edited by Xeoman on 02-09-19 10:26 PM)

Since I dual monitor with my HDTV in my room/office, I don't see the need for one... yet. Down the road it would be fun to have a little emulator box and something to easily take around to friends places. |

I bought a new PS2 slim last year, the 9000 model. But my old 7000 model might be fun to mod. |
(it was starting to have disc reading trouble, but I suspect FMCB might work perfectly with it since it still runs fine otherwise!)

I'm actually thinking of deleting my FB app on my phone sometime this year. I don't know if I'd fully commit to deleting my account, but if I didn't have one at this point in life I wouldn't bother registering. Months ago I logged out on my PC, so I never get on my PC anymore cutting down some time there. And... it's been amazing. So I just might cut it from my phone usage too and find something else to occupy my time.

I do get on Twitter now, but it's just more tolerable when you're not reading close friends/family etc making an ass of themselves.

More freezing rain expected tomorrow... but luckily the temperature is rising a bit so this junk is melting. I hope this is the last snowfall of this winter, it's been a pain. Very thankful I got new tires in November... they've been put to a lot of use this season. |
