| I've decided to try something new here.
A classic gaming battle tournament! This will be another gaming Tournament, basically with you deciding which you think is the better of the two. But, it will be slightly different. Games that go up agains't eachother, will be very much of the same genre, so it's a fair match. Therefore this may just be a set of polls, rather than an actual Tournament to go as far to see who's Number 1. Examples: - Super Mario Bros ---- Sonic the Hedgehog - R-Type ---- Gradius - Final Fight ---- Streets of Rage - Megaman ---- Vectorman - Street Fighter ---- Mortal Kombat - Final Fantasy ---- Dragon Quest So, what do you guys think? Think this would work out? We could perhaps have this be very broad, and have a set of genre's, and then have the games go up agains't eachother to determine which one you guys like most of "that" genre. Possible Genre's: RPG's Fighting Beat em' Ups Adventure Action Shooters Racing? Adventure games for instance, we could have Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic, and so on. And there's plenty of space shooters, R-Type, Salamandor, Gradius, Thunder Force, etc. Plenty of fighters too. Plenty of beat em up's, Streets of Rage, Battletoads, Double Dragon, Final Fight, etc. I'd also like to keep this as a poll for "Series", rather than specific games. This is still a fresh idea, so your suggestions are welcome to how this would work out nicely. I'd like to see games of the same genre go up agains't eachother, probably showing a better match up and the votes would probably be closer to eachother. Sound fun? Yeah, The Politican did two Tournaments like this before, but this one will be more genre-specific and so on.

I was thinking maybe 6-8 games would be good per genre.

Check it out. Really this bands not that bad in my opinion, just not much of a fan for the vocals. Man I really need to get Dragonforce - Valley Of The Damned, I think Sonic Firestorm is so good but I've heard VoTD is even better.  (Last edited by Xeolord on 07-28-05 02:11 PM)

I usually try isohunt, torrentspy, and maybe torrentreactor. Basically I'm looking for music, but at those 3 places seeds and leechers are so rare it's amazing.

Side note: Leon, I went ahead and put your name over the forum. I did this also with Cyro when he was handling his Tournament. So, you can now edit / close / move threads in this forum. This will be in effect as long as your Tournament is up. |

I'd say you seriously already have a good NES collection. Man, I need an NES. Where did you order your top loading NES? And aren't they supposedly better than the original ones? (I've had two die on me in the past). Yeah, I"ve really been wanting to get an NES and start building up my collection on that. Luckily, I see TONS of good games whenever I go to Vintage Stock (local collectibles store around my place that rocks). I mean, I see piles of Zelda 1, 2, Dragon Warrior, all the Mario's, Megamans, etc. As for SNES, I've got 40 games exactly now, I'll dig up my old list and add on to it to show you all the SNES games I own. Really, for some animes I'd really only watch the anime for fight scenes, and things like that. I've done this with Naruto, and it's fine.

Manga's do seem to go deeper and you seem to get more out of the characters with them, when compared to watching the anime. But if you watch the anime, you can also kind of see more of the characters actual character, like how they act, and reflect on things, and so on. Then again I haven't really read a manga that's been really different from the anime, so I guess I can't really state my opinion on this.

Well I FINALLY got Valley of the Damned. So far, I'm impressed. My only complaint is the quality that I got it in, it sounds live ... but not really at the same time. This is the first song on the album (the first track is just an intro), the opening sequence to this song just rocks. Valley of the Damned I don't think I like this album as much as Sonic Firestorm, but it still seems really good.
