Well with all the categories, this could last for a very long time. But, I guess that doesn't really hurt, would it? 
And are you sure TMNT should go into 'sidescrollers'? I'd think it would be better in the 'beat em' up's' category.  |

Probably whenever these server errors are all fixed, then I plan on adding this, along with a Rom Hacking forum also possibly. |

I have perfectly fine 20x20 vision. Most people I know though either wear glasses, or have contacts (most of them switched over to contacts). |

Did Capcom remake it for the GCN?

It's so confusing, I have friends who tell me they did, and I thought I remember reading in magazines months back that Capcom did infact remake all the PSX Resident Evil games for the GCN. I just remember playing it for the PSX years and years ago, and loving it. I've heard it's one of the best in the series also, and Leon just rocks. So I'll probably eventually get this.

Probably, because just like you, I've never actually seen this in person, I've only heard about it. And trust me, I've been to tons of videogame stores and haven't seen it. |
Wish I didn't have to buy it online, because there's the wait to get it, online shipping fee, etc, but yeah it's probably our best bet if we want to get it.

I've though about this for awhile, and have decided I really think it would be a good idea to make one. How could it hurt in any way? Our community here at XGF is ever so growing, and expanding to new horizons could spark new interest in some, and could bring in new members. Maybe people have come here before, only to be disappointed in not seeing a Rom Hacking forum? And if we make a new forum, such as this, we're giving out users more options. Personally, I'm all for this, and I could quite possibly bring some people over who could get the forum active. I just thought I'd see what you guys think also. What is Rom Hacking? Basically as it sounds, hacking roms (ie. old videogames). There are many things you can do with roms, change the text, change values in the data, modify the graphics, and there's sometimes even programs out there that people have made, that are Level Editors, such as Jathy's SMILE program for Super Metroid, Sephiroth7's Hyrule Magic editor for Zelda LttP, and so on. A lot of the editors can be found at Zophar's, and tons of utilites can be found there also. (Last edited by Xeolord on 08-01-05 05:11 PM)

I've played Wild 9, definitely an awesome and very original game. Matter of fact I'd like to get that game if I can ever find it ... it was a nice way of implementing sidescrolling into a 3D game (kind of like Crash at times).

Ugh, I hated this game, but used to play it all the time when I was a kid.

Thing is I'd play it when I was about 5-6 years old, so I could hardly read. So I'd have my friend over who was about a year and a half older than me, and he'd read everything while I played. I just ... don't know how I enjoyed this game.

I checked out the Top Loading NES's on Ebay, how come they're almost all different? There were some silver and black ones that looked like a Sega Saturn, then some that looked like an advanced NES in all different kinds of colors. |
And almost all of them said they had built in games with them. I'm interested in getting one myself, I just don't want to get some user-made crap (I take it these things were only released in Japan?)

(that's the one I own besides RE4) That's kind of disappointing ... still I might just try to get RE2 and 3 for the Cube since I'm used to the control scheme already, and it would be nice to have all of the games for one system. Or, should I just get RE2-3 for the PSX? Those, I see almost everywhere, so they wouldn't be hard to get. Also, how good is Zero? Is 3 Nemesis? Or Code Veronica? ...
(ever since I got RE4 I've had a new found respect for the whole series)

I was never really that great, I just dragged out my posts and techniques to look fancy, but half the time I remember I usually missed something in my opponents previous post, and I'd have to go and edit my post (I remember that happened several times when I fought Sparda). |

- Visual Basic - took a class during Sophomore year. - C++ (starting to forget ... I took classes about half a year ago, and ever since I got out I haven't really been doing anything with it. All we did was Console Based Apps also, but still some neat stuff). - PHP - Kind of teaching myself, but very very slowly. Haven't done much besides messing with the AB code honestly. Markup, honestly these are things that you can just look at, and master in a few days in my opinion. I'm really not that much of a programmer (pulled C's and B's in most of my Programming classes) but as for Markup tag languages and classes, I've pulled like A+'s, they're too easy. - HTML, I've messed with templates, and a bunch of little things. - Coldfusion, some stuff here and there. - CSS I've been meaning to teach myself XML, just wish I could find the time. Misc stuff: I've done some stuff with HEX editing, and other little things here and there. Just thought I'd mention that. (Last edited by Xeolord on 08-03-05 02:37 PM)
