It's times like these that I regret moving. I would have LOVED to have gone on that hike! I watched the entire series of MASH when I was a kid. Never really been to the Vasquez Rocks either... been near them in some park right there, but the famous image you see all the time I didn't get to check out. |

I only got a reply to my first letter, though I recently just mailed him a third one. No reply so far. I think Nelrith said he got the same basic thing.

I used to go on a variety of websites, other boards and games and such (neopets included), Now it's pretty much here, Vizzed, Facebook, Google+, and the Pathfinder Chronicler forums because of my short story work.

I blame Avatar... which is ironic because the 3D was so subtle in that movie.

But yeah... kill it with fire. That is my opinion. I think its stupid, especially for what they charge for it... and I really just cannot wait for it to die. Those glasses still give me a damn headache--plus it was clear that they did not keep in mind those of us that normally have to wear glasses when the 3D ones were designed.

Also on the plus side, relations with the parents improve a lot once you move out. They can't really control your life anymore, so they start to appreciate you a bit better. I actually like my parents now that I no longer live with them. But yeah, money is obviously going to be a pain in the ass, though $250/month is damn nice for starting rent... I'm assuming that includes your share of utilities, right? Expect to pay more in winter, heating is a bitch. Our electric bill was about $160 a month last winter, as opposed to the $70ish that it is in summer. Of course, this is an all electric house, but even then. Also, what about food? And once you get your license, yeah, the independence truly kicks in because you can just go wherever you want too. It's a nice feeling, though daunting at times... especially when you look at gas prices.

I'm not 100% positive, but I was talking with a coworker who has been there for two years and mentioned that I make $7.50 instead of $7.25 like everyone else and he said "are you on unrestricted hours?" and I said yeah. And he told me that likely they will drop it down when I go back, which... so yeah. I'm already looking for a new job, but this makes me look harder. |

It's not! Most local news channels are fairly conservative, and then there is also the novel concept of reading the news yourself! ... I just don't like Ron Paul. There is something about most Libertarians that I just cannot stand. Mostly the pretentiousness of thinking they are better than everyone else.
