| I fence epee, I've always wanted to try out saber, but I'm annoyed by any right-of-way rules and all of that. I like epee because it's a heavier blade and has a lot more freedom.

Yeah, it did, but so did half of my favorite games, haha. Besides, I don't really play enough of those games to be annoyed at quick-time events yet. I hear that and I'm pretty much okay.

Elara, I'm just going to second what FX says, fencing is amazing. I'm not one for recommending foil, just because I find the right-of-way rules to be boring, and I hate how wimpy the blades are, but whichever one you choose, it's actually a lot of fun and can get kind of crazy.

FX, well, Epee you still have to get a little lower, if only because you still need to if you want a good lunge, but it might also just be because I'm really tall, so I have to if I want to keep myself at a decent level with my opponents.

Anyway though, other trivia about the great Lord Vulkas, I always want to keep my hair fairly short, I just can't stand the look of having long hair.

I am bumping this a bit because the new Hobbit finally came out.

Thoughts? I personally really enjoyed it, though I was fairly annoyed with where they ended the movie. Also, even though he wasn't in the book, Legolas is always fun to see killing some orcs.

Granted. Additionally, all precipitation has stopped, throughout the entire world. There is no more rain, snow, sleet, fog, or anything else. Eventually then the world turns into a desert. Life in forests, lakes, and rivers are all quickly extinguished. Consequently, humans must move into a seafish only diet. People with allergies to shellfish die first, then the rest of the human race begins to develop mercury poisoning. To help curb this, japanese fishermen may now legally catch whales due to their lower mercury content. All whales and dolphins soon become extinct. The oceans soon become overfished, with the supply diminishing.

Soon, nations begin to go to war over the fish supplies. Ironically then switzerland strikes first, launching nuclear weapons at England. Nation fights against nation, nuclear weapons are being used everywhere, and soon then all life is extinguished. Earth is no longer habitable for the next few million years, until aliens come by, start digging up remnants of our civilization, and begin to believe that we worship toilets and have our lives ruled by cats, which, granted, is actually fairly accurate. So I guess that what it comes down to is, thanks, Elara, for destroying the world.

Hey, I'm pretty sure I didn't even know that there WAS a Military Channel. That said though, I really feel as though the Military gets a ton of credit and thanks, which, granted, is really warranted, I am grateful for anyone who serves my country, but policemen and firemen risk their lives every day too. It's nice to see them maybe get some credit here too. |

My thoughts ont his are kind of really simple.

Guys, it's a bridge being closed down, and I mean not even a whole bridge, just some of the lanes. I really hope that he has bigger things to worry about. Of course some people sent some e-mails about it (which I'm honestly going to be shocked if he read), but honestly, if he's setting himself up to watch every road/bridge closing in the state, then he has some serious issues with delegation and organization. Thinking about it, it really can't have anything to do with the election, because there's no way to target a specific political party like this, and there's really no reason for him to want to do this for malevolent reasons. I'm just going to chalk this up to a brain fart on the part of one of the aides which then was blown up because it's a slow news day. "My goodness, republican governor caused... traffic!" You know what I think that this really teaches me though? The power of the press.

I mean, here we are with an honestly pointless news story, and because they are the press, they have the power to create a gigantic scandal, causing anyone and everyone to investigate him. That said, they also have the power to create controversy by not reporting all of the info that they have. http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2014/01/politics/christie-emails/index.html These are the e-mails that the press is talking about, and there is a ton that's censored so taht we can't read it, and it's mostly just leaving condemning quotes that out of context can seem pretty bad. However, also in there is a bit about how it was closed because some town was requesting a traffic study which by my undertanding is the reason for those lane closings. Within these e-mails, the governer also clearly is stating to those working with him how he's afraid that the press will think that he was trying to do it out of punishment and that is was most definitely not because of that. CNN decided to censor anything that might make this more clear. So basically? My honest opinion remains, when we have other issues like how much health care is ripping people off and how many other political fiascos are going on, who cares about this? I mean seriously, this guy has enough of a checkered past that we can already guess he won't make it through the primaries come election season, who cares about him causing a traffic jam? Oh, and just a side note, he also reopened three lanes earlier than they wanted for the study because the traffic was so bad. I'll be shocked if anybody reports that.
