Thank you Sister Maryanne. You were the best teacher I could ever hope for, and you helped me through the worst era of my life that I, to this day, still haven't trumped. I don't know what I would have done without you, and I miss you and 6th grade dearly for it. Thank you for being so wonderful that even DURING the terrible things, I would honestly say to you that I would miss being that age and the time I had with you. Thank you for teaching me to be strong and pretty damn awesome.  |

Has the HDD issue been resolved yet? I hope so. Lots of people chainsmoke out of stress, and if I wasn't too cheap of a bastard to start smoking at all, I'd probably be one of those people.  But I'm glad they've kept you talking. Even if it was through a chat program, I'm a firm believer in typing being somethng VERY theraputic, and it was something to keep your hands busy to keep you from punching the computer, no?
Besides, if it's a faulty HDD, then could it possibly even BE your fault? |

| Just got through evaluation week at school. one C, two B's, two B+'s, and two A's. And the C is tentative. I would have gotten an A on the last assignment save for some simple mistakes in that class, and if I show him the re-done assignment on Monday, it'll be a B for that class.
I fully intend on bringing everything up. 7 classes though. I'm ready to tear my hair out. Been working 40 hours the past few weeks as well. And I'm just plain tired.
And I haven't forgotten about you, Elara! If you read this. I've been working a little bit every day. Just most days lately, outside of school and work, it's been a pencil stroke or two, then I'm passing out. XD But it's still loads of fun.
Then after that, it's on to side projects. And more work. Cuz I need money. I also need a new laptop, the adobe suite, final cut studio, a digital camera and a badass camcorder. Gonna try to save up for all of that within the next year (mostlikely more. XD) |

| Despite the bitching I do about my job, there are A LOT of moments like this.
I bend over backwards for my customers, but truth be told, most of 'em deserve it, and not simply because they're customers. There's the people who don't come in often, but the usually ask to speak to my manager, and they say all sorts of nice things. And there were times when I was the highest on the chain in the store, would smile and say I was the manager, but more or less in a way that would let them know that I could and would most certainly make sure they're happy in my store. And know what they've done? Sat on hold for 45 minutes with my coorporate office until they spoke to someone, JUST to say nice things. And then there's the regulars...they all come in specifically to wish me happy birthday and all sorts of things like that. It makes me actually WANT to make my customer service better and better. |

| Antifreeze will be your best friend. Seriously. If you forget that shit, you're fucked. If your car leaks green shit, that means you have an anti-freeze leak, so you're going to be needing more until you can get that fixed. (Just in case say you end up driving through colder weather. I don't know if it's a normal thing, or just a thing my family does, but they seem to forget the concept or antifreeze. I spend many an hour during the winter making sure the leaks are fixed and shit. Those bastards always forget to check themselves.)
When exactly are you making the trip? I'm getting the feeling we're going to have A LOT of snow this year, being as hurricane season fell pretty short. Barely anything came up the coast this year, so that's going to effect the snowfall for the year. I am unfamiliar with what the other states are like to travel through, but I'll ask my brother and his buddies about what to do. They think they're car junkies. Or my friend who works at the Pep Boys in my plaza...What kind of car will you be driving anyway? I can get some info on how the aerodynamics will effect driving through the wind. I know I HATE driving light ass cars through the wind. |

| For boots, Timberlands. They're expensive as hell, but far more practical than the cost will hurt and you'll get quite a few years about them.
You're going to be in Pittsburgh though, right? Where? Or right in the city? The winter may be a little different there as well. I get by on simple payless winter boots. It typically doesn't snow too badly here. Just enough to piss people off. But last year was pretty "bad" by Philly standards, and this year is probably going to be worse. |

| Tears literally welled up in my eyes when I saw just HOW much hotsauce that kid had in his mouth, and then I couldn't watch anymore once that BABY was screaming in that shower.
I got the shit kicked outta me. And it had it's ups and downs. I remember having an itch up my nose, scratching it, and my father grabbing me by the shoulders, shaking me and screaming in my face, and when the asthma attack followed, be beat the shit outta me, telling me I was faking it, threw me into the bathroom, and told me not to come out until I've cleaned my nose, because I was a fucking dirtball for "picking my nose." I was 5. I come out to him and my little sister pretending to pick their noses, laughing and making fun of me. THAT'S abuse. My mom backhanding me in the mouth after she repeatedly told me NOT to say "Son of a bitch." That worked. I sniffled a bit, but I never did it again, in that context. (I grew up and curse, lol.) but yeah... It's like what's been said. I don't think it HAS to be completely erradicated, but hitting your child isn't always the answer either. I think a lot of things depend on the child too. You know what, in reality, worked for me? Guilt. I NEVER wanted to dissappoint my grandparents...and I still work VERY hard not to. I just love them so damn much. And I love them especially for knowing HOW to use guilt. They didn't throw it around. They instilled values and just made it perfectly clear that there are things that would dissappoint them, and things that were okay. And by "making me feel bad" in reality, it was just them honoring their word. They said they'd be dissappointed over certain things, and they sure as shit were. Where as one of my sisters, taking things away from her, like toys and freedoms and such, THAT worked most effectively for her. And one of my other sisters....the corner...or having to sit still ANYwhere for any amount of time...worked wonders for her. It's the individual child. The point is discipline. NOT torture. Hot sauce? Holding it in that long? That could cause health problems. Hot sauce is NOT meant for small children. Cold showers? Can we say "REALLY sick". That bitch is gonna give her kid fucking...hjghfhgjkhfj |
