LoL. It's almost weird seeing my name in Gold again. ^_~

Good times. Good times. I'm suprised to see I allowed my battles to go on for so long. 5 pages against Dante Magus? Wow. But then again, they were purely fun. But my fight against Xeogred was certainly one to be remembered. Or should I say...my fight against MasterSephiroth? O_o

I tried accessing the staff pages and such but I could not. I guess its because I'm no longer staff now? But if my memory serves me right, i bet there's probably a thread or two in there about the little 'fights' between Rogue and Evo. ^_~

Posted on 08-01-05 09:36 PM, in Best of the Best Sparda VS Leon Link
The skies began to increase in the frequency of the unleashing of its thunderbolts as the amount of rain that poured from the black skies also drastically increased. It was now quite obvious that this storm, if that's what it could even be called, was not a creation of Mother Nature's. However, whatever doubts Leon or anyone else may have had about the storm's purpose, would be immediately dispelled as the thunderbolts became more and more concentrated on Sparda himself, their destructive forces aiming closer and closer to this unusual warrior.

Though it was very dark, except for the occasional light given off by the lightning, it was not very difficult for Sparda to know what was coming at him. After all, how could one dress and fight in the darkness, if one didn't even know how to? Sensing the two shockwaves erupting from the force of Leon's slashing sabres, Sparda immediately concocted a plan, not only to disrupt the shockwaves but to also leave Leon vulnerable.

It was quite common knowledge that a shockwave could only be 'dispelled' by one thing: another shockwave. Though Sparda could have easily used his psychic powers to negate the force of the shockwave or lessen its impact, he decided not to, wishing to use this power for another purpose later on in this fight. Therefore, since he was already positioned in the proper stance with his sword already prepared, he took a great step forward, bringing his great sword down in a massive diagonal slash from right to left.

Usually, he would not risk such a massive step since this meant increasing the risk of parrying counters from his opponent. However, since the shockwaves were not moving at an obvious great speed, there was no need to worry. Like his previous 'play' slash against the sand, his diagonal sword swipe was 'perfect' in momentum, precision, accuracy, with just the right touch of strength. Such form in his slash allowed the formation of massive shockwave, larger than both of Leon's shockwaves combined, traveling at a greater speed. Since it traveled diagonally, much like a disc, and since the two dark shockwaves did not seem capable of seperating from their present locations, Sparda's own great shockwave easily overcame Leon's, the impact of the three shockwaves causing a moderate explosion, giving off a small amount of light, if only temporary.

Luckily for him, Sparda's shockwave traveled twice as fast as Leon's shockwaves. Therefore, when the three shockwaves collided, it was at a distance that prevented the explosion from touching him. However, the light that was given off by the small explosion also slightly revealed Leon's opponent's next actions for before the light could die off and the explosion quenched by the rain, there was still enough lumination to tell that Sparda was already in the process of another sword swipe, though he was at a considerable distance from his opponent, even for the length of his great sword.

This was very true for as the explosion died down, Sparda had already completed his second perfectly executed slash, having spun clockwise in a mere blur, using the momentum to give life to his next perfectly horizontal slash. However, since the distance between him and Leon was too great for a melee strike, this horizontal slash obviously had other purposes which suddenly became apparent as the great eye at the center of the sword began to vibrate menacingly along with the blade of the weapon.

It was clear. With the second sword slash, the Song of the Chaotic had been executed. Upon the unleashing of this attack, even the earth and the skies seemed to be greatly disturbed for Mother Nature shook the mighty planet as if crying out in pain from the screech while thunderbolts shot out in unusual angles, as if tormented by Eva's scream of agony.

Song of the Chaotic- Using the Deathsword’s eye of Chaos, Sparda creates a screech like none other heard on the face of the universe by means of causing the entire sword to vibrate. The vibration is said to trigger a chain reaction in the eye that causes certain chemicals to be released throughout the blade, causing the ringing of the vibrating blade to be increased one hundred fold. This screech is deadly due to the fact that its frequency, pitch, and volume is tuned to such unbearable and deadly levels, it could very easily destroy any and all sense of hearing in a normal mortal. Because of its incredibly tuned properties, it is also capable of penetrating barriers and shields the same way high pitched sounds can crack and break mirrors when tuned just right. This useful technique is not meant to damage the opponent excessively. Rather, it is used to destroy any existing shields/barriers as well as temporarily paralyze and disable the opponent, allowing Sparda use this moment to lay down a finishing move. If the opponent is in possession of enhanced hearing of any sort, this move will most often cripple the opponent to a point where they will be unable to even move their muscles since their enhanced hearing sensors, which are often directly connected to the brain, will received the soundwaves of the screech, processing it directly to the brain, causing it to malfunction. Often, this can be the case with other opponents as well, even if they are not in possession of enhanced hearing though the immobilization of the body is less frequent. However, when targeted against a normal opponent with no enhanced hearing, this technique will often temporarily cripple the opponent, sometimes causing temporary paralysis.
This technique can also crack or even destroy weapons that are not enchanted by magic of some sort or enchanted by other means. The Deathsword itself, however, is unaffected due to the ‘plasma’ substance it produces in its veins (explained fully in Sparda’s character profile). [In terms of simbattle, this move, if it works successfully against an opponent, lasts for exactly two turns (not counting the turn in which Sparda used to unleash this move). It will be fully deactivated at the end of Sparda’s turn, the one after he used to unleash Song of the Chaotic. For inquiries on why Sparda is unaffected by this screech or other information, please PM him. Omission of this information is not due to its unavailability but rather to conceal its weakness to other simbattlers who are not fighting Sparda but plan to use the weakness of this attack to their own benefit in later battles, if such an occasion arises.]

But by doing nothing, YuRiPa fulfills its main objective: staying out of politics. If I remember correctly, Xeios planned for the Chaos Hunter Clan to be a simbattling clan, doing lots of stuff as a group. But this obviously didn't happen at all and ever since he resigned, the entire clan as a whole literally just disappeared.

My choices in order of preference:

1. Melfina from Outlaw Star

She may be an android but she's the most advanced in the universe and she's got a heart of gold...not to mention some lovely features.

2. "Hot Ice" Hilda from Outlaw Star

What can I say? She's a freaking badass and knows how to look good whenever wherever.

3. Seras Victoria from Hellsing

Ok, even you cannot deny that her British accent is so ridiculously sexy. I bet her voice actor is just as sexy as she is. And she's certainly got a figure to die for though I'm curious as to how her boobs actually grow bigger as the series progresses. A pro of being a vampire?

Shaddow is correct. If you are staff, you basically have automatic rights as a trainer.

But nowadays, it seems that no one wants to be trained anymore. I haven't seen any trainer requests in the Sim-Arena for a while now.

I'd suggest removing one of the following 1) The sloganizer or 2) the FE stats. The two on the bottom of your layout not only look very awkward, but they take up more space than necessary. I really should not have to scroll down at all to see the entirety of a person's layout..or maybe it's just my screen. But you get what I mean.

Personally, I cannot decide who is at a fault here, the Democrats or the President. Now as far as I'm concerned, I am neither Republican or Democrat. But it still bugs me how President Bush made John Bolton the UN Ambassador without the approval of the Senate. The Senate will not be able to get rid of Bolton until January. However, in a way, the Democrats are also at a fault here because they had been lagging behind on their vote. Whether they were doing this intentionally or not, I do not know.

What I do know now is that this has sparked a whole controversy. Has Bush abused his powers? Was this a wise move especially during times in which the UN is going under some changes?

What are your opinions?

No kidding. It was kind of like fighting Xeios.
You would miss at least 2 sentences in each of my posts. I'd have to tell you you missed something and you'd go editting it.

But to be honest, you really weren't that bad. Not only were your descriptions good, but your attacks were really fancy and unique. I mean sure...not all of them were that powerful...but they certainly made one heck of a show. ^_~

But yeah, i kind of wanted to go through the old simbattles. but the threads don't exist anymore.

Correct me if I am wrong but are these the shoes that had the advertisement where this young man poured milk into it and tried to drink from it before coughing it all out and saying "These are some nice shoes"? I can't be certain but I think that was an advertisement for Sneaux shoes. I saw it a couple of nights ago.

You know, I'd recommend starting completely a new with the belts. I mean, we sort of borrowed all the belts from Anime-US. Heavyweight and Lightweight. And from that, we created Middleweight. But the fact of the matter is, there are obviously some controversies on how to determine whether one is heavyweight, middleweight, lightweight due to the obvious parellels to the belt titles in wrestling and boxing.

I don't know, maybe change Heavyweight to a different name as to signify the level of the fighter who achieves it. "Heavyweight" doesn't really do that. Just kind refers to the weight.

That is incorrect.

My question contains a very important hint. Try rereading it again. You'll get it soon enough.

EDIT:For every 3 wrong answers, a hint shall be provided...cause I'm so cool.

Erm.. no.

I doubt Jean Reno would ever touch a katana except in Onimusha 3. LoL.

Keep trying though. I think you're getting the right idea.

Well, Cyro, this completely depends on the person and his/her character. I mean, a certain character may wish to strengthen his melee skills because that is all the character is capable of. It wouldn't be hard to train someone inbiasedly (is that even a word? ) but in the end, it depends on the person how he wants to be trained and to what extent. A trainer cannot teach a student everything seeing as how the trainer himself still has too much to learn.

Personally, I believe you've drawn a very fine point which will come in rather useful for future simbattles and simbattlers who plan to use some crazy cheap attacks to use the 'speed of light' almost always to dodge. However, when dealing with simbattles, I like to seperate special magic techniques into the realms of fantasy and science. Scientifically, it will not be possible for a human sized character to reach the speed of light. But I figure that under the most precise conditions (and the most rarest conditions), given the prime circumstances and substantial energy, a more advanced character would be able to reach the speed of light, in the fantasy realm. Just my opinion. But of course, that character will have a lot of explaining to do in order to justify his actions. And in the board's current status, that may not happen for many simbattlers for a very very very long time.

I kind of understood what you said in your first paragraphs...but the last paragraph is what really hit me. I personally think, what you said about the Legend's Title and the Arena changes, is a very very very good idea. I mean, it'd be unfair for Kaijin to have to fight for the Legend's Title undercertain conditions when the same conditions don't even apply for the challenger for the Legend's Title.

And Sha, no one is saying we need to have a lot more belts. My suggestion was just that we should replace the belts seeing as how the 'ranking' system we have with the belts isn't very useful.

Well Shuyin, that's kind of what they are now. It's just that I think the names tend to make them confusing. My suggestion is to perhaps keep the 'belt ranking system' but change the names as to reflect what they represent in a fighter.

Indeed. I think all of the belts are overall thought as a measure of skill.

Lightweight Belt- Newb King.

MiddleWeight- Average Fighter

HeaveyWeight- Fear me rawr.

The "Fear Me Rawr" one is genius.

I think the "Legends Title" we can keep the same because that sort of says something about the person who owns it. You know?
