Question 4
Worth 2 points

Name the popular court movie in which the following dialogue is said:

"Please, in this manual, tell me where you can find the mess hall"
"Erm..sir...it's not in there."
"Are you telling me...that during your service in Guantanamo Bay...you didn't have a single decent meal?"
"No sir...three square meals a day."
"Then...how did you know where the mess hall was when it wasn't in this manual?"
"Um..i guess I just followed everyone else when it was chow time."

I agree with Shuyin on the fact that the trainee would probably end up copying the trainer. I made this example before and I'll make it again. It's like Xbox live, especially with DOA: Ultimate. You pick a certain character and pull of a certain move which seems to be very effective at the time and a newbie will always follow your footsteps, picking the same character and using the same move over and over again without fully understanding why he did it in the first place. I know this first hand when I played against my friend in DOA3.
I chose Jann Lee and I whooped his ass using just two moves. In the next round, he chose Jann Lee as his character and just to make it fun, I chose Hitomi. He copied my moves exactly but still got his ass whooped because he had no idea why I used the Lee moves the way I did.

A new simbattler should rely on himself to gain his own unique style but maybe have a trainer help to further develop his technique.

Granted, even if he does veto every bill, the Senate could still pass the bill if the proper procedures are taken. But this still doesn't take away from the fact that the President was still abusing his powers.

THe president was supposed to wait for an OK from the Senate. He didn't and overrode them. This is where the poll comes in. Is he abusing his powers or was he just using them wisely?

Yeah, i can get through there. Don't worry Xeo. I'll take care of this. I use IE only, no Firefox. So it shouldn't be a problem at all for me.

I must say, i really enjoyed the read that you provided us here. There were a few things that I didn't know at first, but heck, now it all makes sense. It'll make it easier for simbattlers to fight each other without having to see them whip out ridiculous matrix-like moves everywhere.

But now that the newest rule has been added, people will be forced to have a lot of explaining to do if they ever dodge bullets or move at the speed of light. THe speed of sound seems a tad bit more reasonable though a lot of explanation is still required for justification.

About the whole Summoner's Tag Team thing...

I believe it was Shuyin and I that kind of started the thing here on XGF where we introduced a single person controlling two characters at once on the battlefield. Back a while ago, I wanted to introduce this as an official style of simbattling on MoD but I'm not sure what happened but it never came through.

So instead of Summoner's tag team", why not just do the "Ultimate Summoner Title" where a person uses only his or her summon as the fighter in a simbattle. And you can also have the "Special Tag Team Title" or something like that where instead of 4 people duking it out, you only have two real people using two people each. It's like a regular simbattle but with more 'characters in play'.

Off:

Say what? It's 'easy' to counter a sound attack? First of all, this sound attack will expand throughout the entire arena. Therefore, it's pretty pointless to dodge unless you managed to break the sound barrier...which you didn't. Second, saying that your 'face and body tightened up as if hearing a metal claw scraping across a chalk board' isn't going to cut it through this attack since I clearly stated what will happen to anyone who is affected by this screeching unless they have some really good reason as to justifying the negation of the sound in their ears and mind. Now I don't know if you Leon has advanced or enhanced hearing or not.

If he does, then your last reply would make even less sense. But let's pretend he didn't. This screech is still capable of literally destroying every single blessed nerve cell in your demon brain. According to your last post, you basically allowed my technique to fry, not only your sensor neurons but also your motor and your interneurons...along with your cerebrum and cerebellum. Trust me, this technique is more than just a 'metal claw scraping across a chalk board'. Take the sound that makes and amplify it 10000 fold and that's what the screech is like.

Second, you didn't make a valid justification as to why your weapons are still intact and even in your unholy hands. First sentence of the second paragraph of my description. It clearly states that your weaponry will literally crack into pieces if they are not enchanted in anyway. Now I don't know about your black sabers but as of yet, you have failed to say that they are in fact enchanted by magic.

Third...since when was Sparda a her?! "Leon brought both swords down toward her". O_o I dunno...did Sparda undergo a sex change or are you just thinking of your wife too much? Dude, leave your marital issues out of this fight or else I might find you taking out a baseball bat next threatening to beat the shit out of me cause I forgot to iron your clothes.

*cough*

Anyways. You told me to give it my all. Well I am. In simbattle and out. =P And I will continue to unleash the full fury of my technical paragraphs everytime you do something like that.

Well you should keep in mind that it was I who had the heavyweight before him. Because I retired, I simply gave it back to the former heavyweight cause I figured it wouldn't be long before somebody won the title from Benja....

One year has passed and that still hasn't happened which surprises me greatly.

Posted on 08-05-05 09:48 PM, in Your favorite riffs/ guitar solos Link
We all listen to rock music, one way or another. There will always be one song or at least one riff that defines the meaning of 'rock n' roll' for you. What's your favorite guitar riff/ solos?

1) Crazy Train by Ozzy
Honestly, right after the intro, the riff that kicks in is absolutely one of the most badass things I have ever heard in my life. It is extraordinarily simple to play, having only to do with two strings, three fingers, and a whole lot of distortion. But there's no doubt about it: play this riff and you are automatically cool....well at least for me. But then again, I looked the part as well.

2) Stairway to Heaven Solo by Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page)
Granted, this song is very very old. However, you cannot deny the beauty and masterpiece that the band created when the song was first created. Sure, the song is simple as hell to play and the solo isn't very complicated...but it sure as hell is an amazing solo, regardless. Now throw in more distortion your used to, don yourself in pure black, have yourself a kick ass drummer by your side, and you got the key to one of the coolest 'remixed' solos ever.

3) Fuel solo by Metallica (Kirk Hammett?)
One of Metallica's lesser known songs and not as popular as Sandman, MoP, and One, one cannot deny the coolness of Fuel's solo. Simple as it may be, when you throw in the right amount of style (the way Kirk did during the SNL performance) as well as the right amount of skill, you got an incredibly slick and cool solo that anyone can get into.

What's the surprise? He won't accept/finish any challenges for his belt.

People just stopped bothering. Remember what we were saying......he's the Hercule of the board.

And I'm Goku. Rawr.
I get stronger and stronger.... And even when I die (retire) I still manage to come back .Fear my l33t skills. ^.^ And I apparently never age. I only get younger.

But *cough*

But recently, new rules for belts have been set up. Therefore, now Benja would have to accept...wouldn't he?
