| Also, the fact that your GM was completely off should be reason enough. You do realize that according to the way you described it, you actually made yourself twice as slow? It's like you casted Haste on Cairoi and Slow on yourself. Why would you do it? I dunno. It's not my place to decide.
But regardless, because I must agree with the points Cairoi made and that I too believe you have GMed, you are DQed. Cairoi maintains his title. |

Drizzt do'Urden vs. Guardian Oni ~~~ Items Drizzt Do'Urden has been armed with the Bladed Tonfas. Guardian Oni has been armed with the Great War Hammar ~~~ Weapon Analysis 2 Bladed Tonfas he tonfa, also known as tong fa or tuifa, is an Okinawan martial arts weapon from which the modern side-handled police baton is derived. Folklore says these were originally used as wooden handles that fit into the side of millstones, or as horse bridles, and were later developed into weapons when peasants were banned from using more traditional weaponry.The tonfa traditionally consists of two parts, a handle with a knob, and perpendicular to the handle, a shaft or board that lies along the hand and forearm. Unique to this tournament, the the shaft that lies along the hand and forearm is a single, sharp, steel blade, which slightly extends longer than the wooden shaft itself. Moderately light, the bladed tonfa can be used both offensively and defensively, especially with the addition of the blades. However, in order for the weapon to be used effectively, it requires the user to be up close to his/her opponent. Length of shaft: 25 inches Length of blade: 26 inches Great War Hammer A war hammer is an archaic weapon of war intended for close combat, the design of which resembles the hammer. The war hammer consists of, like the tool it resembles, a handle and a head. The war hammer could deal blows of tremendous force to the target, especially when mounted on a pole, and by impact alone do damage without penetrating the armour. The spike end could be used for grappling the target's armour, reins, or shield, or could be turned in the direction of the blow to pierce even heavy armour. While extraordinarily effective offensively, its heavy weight (requires at least two hands) and its somewhat clumsy defensive capabilites balance the weapon out. One well placed blow is enough to defeat the opponent...assuming the user manages to aim it properly and with the right amount of force. Length of weapon: 35 inches Length of spike: 7 inches ~~~ Rules: Standard Tournament Rules 3 day grace period between each post. 7 day grace period for first post. Failure to abide by rules will result in automatic DQ. Matches will automatically end in 4 weeks starting from the day in which the thread was created. ~~~ Setting: Desert... Midday... I personally do not like this rule. Just because someone may have a well written profile doesn't mean it will reveal everything about the character. Most people prefer keeping some things a secret. The addition of this rule will require everybody to literally dish out all the info on their character. Also, this rule can be abused very much. Let's say one fighter does something and the other fighter doesn't like it simply because it's placed him in a difficult position. The second fighter can simply have the other fighter DQed if this 'technique' wasn't mentioned in the profile. Now the first fighter could have made it up on the fly or it could have been a technique he developed a while ago but never used.

Worst comes to worst, a fighter will complain about everylittle thing a fighter does simply because it was not 'in the profile'.

So basically, what you're asking for is not really a 'profile' per se but actually more like a 'stat sheet', something that lists immunities, boosters, etc. of the character. |

Well, if it's just a stat sheet, then I have absolutely no problem with that. But to what degree is the stat sheet enough?

Well, in that case... Yeah, I like how you rearranged some of the links. I noticed yesterday that you had finished an IM link which brings you to a list of all the IM sns of the board. What are your plans with that? EDIT: NEvermind, I just saw your post. Perhaps you can put the IM link thing on the top rather than bottom? I'm for the judge idea. By this method, the opponent will not be able to see a fighter's strengths and weaknesses in a stat sheet, if it is revealed, thus, preventing him from gaining an unfair advantage. And the judge can simply refer to the stat sheets from the two fighters to decide of something was illegal or not...though some nooks and crannys of this idea would have to be polished. |
