| Suddenly, Sparda disappeared and in his stead was a massive barrier which erected itself several feet high, just enough to encase Sparda. However, due to Kaijin's anti-magic aura, he easily passed through the barrier and his stab was launched forth, only to be met with a new resistance. His sword came in contact with something incredibly hard which was obviously protecting Sparda. But since it managed to block Kaijin's stab, it was apparent that it was not a result of magic. And thus, with his flesh perserved, Sparda executed...
the Formation of the 36 Wings...his entrance to the Metatron state. Formation of the 36 Wings- The Formation of the 36 Wings is a mysterious technique that transcends Sparda into his Metatron stage. The Metatron was known to be God’s greatest angel, being superior to the archangels Michael and Gabriel. His power was so great that he was sometimes even referred to as the “lesser Yahweh”. Two legends tell two different stories but the end result was always the same. Metatron was always the most powerful of angels, capable of the greatest forms of magic. He was identified as the mighty angel with 36 wings. Sparda, having undergone some unusual transformations due to the sudden conflict between the powers of chaos and his human conscience, was able to enter his Metatron state. This is said to be one of his most mysterious transformations for he rarely uses it. His mithril armor is torn apart as 32 wings erupt from his back, all magnificent and extraordinarily beautiful…but all the same color as the darkness of space. Two smaller wings make their way out of Sparda’s arms, much like elbow blades while two more wings emerge from Sparda’s feet. However, even after the creation of the wings, the transformation is yet to be completed for exactly 365 black orbs form around Sparda and his wings, each the size of a marble. They seem to do nothing but levitate around him; it is unknown whether they serve another purpose or not. Finally, as a symbol of the completion of the transformation, thick and massive veins begin to protrude from each and every single one of Sparda’s wings, much like the way the veins protruded from his Deathsword. With the Formation of the 36 Wings, Sparda becomes capable of using all of his Metatron techniques but becomes incapable of all psychic abilities. Due to the power of the Metatron state, Sparda becomes exempt from many exceptions of attacks… During the transformation, Sparda becomes encased within a pitch black barrier which leaves him invulnerable until the end of the attack. However, due to the immense energy required for this transformation, Sparda will become unable to attack for two of his turns. (Last edited by Sparda on 03-03-05 10:32 PM) |

| With four of his massive wings covering his torso as well as portions of his abdomen and the Deathsword, which seemed to have grown longer, in hand, there Sparda stood in his Metatron state, unmoving. Though Kaijin's Dark Sacrifice took place behind him, he didn't bother to turn around for the 365 black orbs which were created as a result of his transformation were in truth, eyes. They watched for him.
Seeing as how neither one of them could take the offensive due to the immensive transformations they undertook, Sparda took to the skies with just a simple flap of one pair of his wings. He was instantly airborned, his dark brown eyes now focused on Kaijin. There was a strange radiant aura being emitted from his wings. This aura was most unsual, as well, since it could not be seen or felt but the presence was unmistakenbly there. In fact, this could hardly be comprehended. How could a thing not be felt but be understood to be there nevertheless? Yet, this was irrelevant for Sparda had transcended to a state above a mere immortal. "How interesting this shall be. The Angel who is not truly holy vs. the Devil who is also vampire. Maybe it was such an encounter as this that led to the destruction of this city." |
