I'm stuck at school a few hours before my class. I'm the computer lab at a really slow computer. My head hurts and this lady woman keeps running into the back of my chair every time she walks by.

It's so stupid and petty, but why am I annoyed?

I need a nap soooo bad.

EDIT: Left class early after walking across campus early into class to see about getting Ibuprofin from the nurse or something of the like, only to discover the nurse is now at the other campus several miles away.

Fuck.

Now I'm just waiting around to get picked up. I wish I had some place to take a nap.

Sperm donor ordered to pay child support

A British firefighter who donated his sperm so a lesbian couple could have two babies is being forced to pay thousands of pounds in child support.

Andy Bathie, 37, initially agreed to help Sharon and Terri Arnold after being assured he would not have to be involved in the upbringing of their young boy and girl or have any financial responsibility towards them.

But the British government's Child Support Agency has begun docking his pay to force him to contribute to the children's upbringing because the lesbian couple have split up.

Mr Bathie has launched unprecedented court action in an attempt to ensure he cannot be recognised as a legal parent to the children.

"These women wanted to be parents and take on all the responsibilities that brings," he told the Evening Standard newspaper.

"I would never have agreed to this unless they had been living as a committed family.

"And now I can't afford to have children with my own wife - it's crippling me financially."

Like the title I stuck on this reads: Complete. And. Utter. BULL. SHIT.

My favorites:

First tier (My nearest and dearest favorites): Bennet, Hiro and Ando. Even before people began to think Bennet was good he was a favorite for me. Long before Company Man, he had me at "Suresh must be as common a name in India as Smith or Anderson here" (or something like that).

Second tier (I'd probably be bummed if something happened to them, but I'll get by): Nathan (d'oh), Mohinder, Matt, Sylar, and Isaac (D'OH!).

Third tier (Those who I'm really liking and are really gaining ground with me. Just wish we'd get to see them more): Monica, Molly, and Angela.

EDIT: Add The Haitian to the third tier. He's been back and forth between the second and third, but we didn't get to see him near as much this season.

There are other characters that I like, but I just don't know where to place them. Like Kaito Nakamura, for example. Or Claude. Favorite guest stars, I guess?

You gotta love that Matrix reference... When I heard that, I knew the writers knew what they were doing.

Seriously. I was laughing my ass off at that line, being a huge Matrix person back in the day. And it was even funnier coming from someone who appeared to be an agent.

EDIT: After re-watching the first episode to get the line right, it goes something like this. Matter of fact, you can almost hear Agent Smith say it as Bennet's talking.

Bennet: "Going home to my family. These business trips are wearing me out. Suresh, huh?"
Mohinder: "I'm sorry?"
Bennet: "Your name. On your license there." [Camera pans to Mohinder's taxi driver's license posted in the cab] "That's Indian, yes? There was a Professor Suresh at the University of Madras. Geneticist. Interesting theories. Don't think he's teaching any more. But you wouldn't know anything about that, would you? Probably lots of Sureshes where you're from. Like Smith or Anderson."

[At which point, Mohinder stops the cab, gets out and runs as fast as he can out of there.]

I'm just having trouble processing how anyone could be so greedy or stupid to attach this on him. Even if they got him on that he didn't sign anything (which the article doesn't say if he did or not), this is just so absurd.

After showing this to a few other people on LiveJournal, someone mentioned that this would probably hurt the gay marriage image for other couples who are just trying to gain acceptance. While I hope people won't be so shallow as to judge gay marriages by this obviously fucked up set of people, I could see people looking with distaste at some gay unions because of this.

Just before the board's down time, I'd noticed the new episode was posted.

Here it is. Episode 6.

It's funny, but it feels like the quality has deteriorated.

Heh, Angela. I kinda like her because there's really nowhere to stand with her.

When you're first introduced to her she's just been arrested for shop-lifting socks because she "just wanted to feel alive again." Now her sons hate her and she's proven to be the brains behind several world saving/destroying schemes.

And for some reason the Haitian answers to Mama Petrelli.

EDIT: Oh and totally agreed about Maya. It was so fucking irritating that they brought her back. There was so little development with the twins altogether, I'm surprised they didn't pull what Lost did with the characters that people didn't like and bury them alive.

So, I don't know who this letter went out to, or where it was originally posted, but this letter has been appearing in various places, so I'll post it here too.

?BEST FANS EVER?
POST 1

I just wanted to say on behalf of the Heroes writing staff (occasionally, ?The League of Heroic Scribblers?) how much we sincerely appreciate what all have you have been doing in support of the WGA?s cause. More than that -- we?re touched by the level of dedication, imagination and understanding.

The emails, the posts, the 1000 Cranes (now looking more like 10,000!)... it?s an amazing show of support. And it means more to us than any award or rating.

Each and every one of us would rather be back in that room on the 4th floor, eyes stinging from the dry-erase fumes, arguing about what Peter should do in the 3rd act. It?s what we do -- it?s what we love to do. None of us wanted a strike. But we all know the issues are vital to the survival of the profession. So we?re in this fight until it?s won.

But knowing we?re in that fight with our fans behind us makes all the difference.

All of us at Heroes have said many times how lucky we are to have the fans that we do. That?s never been so evident as it is right now.

So for the time being I?m changing my Heroes sign off from the traditional one the writing staff uses to end every email -- ?BEST SHOW EVER? -- to this:

?BEST FANS EVER?

Michael Green
Writer, HEROES

Incidentally, I mailed in 130 origami cranes last week.

Upon looking into it, it turns out Wireless' body is dead, but she's alive in the Internet. So you won't see her on the show, at least not physically, but she posts online and "hacks" Primatech whenever she feels like it.

I recently submitted my cellphone number to Primatech's database and have received a couple text messages from Wireless saying that we'll talk more later in secret.

Another thing comes to mind. With both of Micah's parents gone, because it's possible that Niki really didn't get out in time, will Micah go the way of the villain mastermind?

Someone on the 9th Wonders board (I really don't follow most of anything that's said over there outside of the 1000 Cranes thread) was stating that they had a theory about Micah pulling together some machine that would lead to the world's destruction or something of that nature and the specially-abled characters who've just recently lost their loved ones (Peter, Maya, etc) would band together with him while the other "heroes" and the Company will band together to stop him.

It's really far-fetched, but you never know.

Going through my Radio Blog Club list. Right now it's on Saint-Saens' "Danse Macabre."

It was last playing Chingon's "Malaguena Salerosa" and it will next play "Sexo y Religion" by Ska-P.

I haven't heard much of Chingon's music, but what I have heard I LOVE.

Malaguena Salerosa gets me really sentimental. I loved Kill Bill and to hear that song at the end of Volume 2, where they ran the credits with visuals of the characters from Volume 1, I damn near cried. Every time I hear the song I feel a burst of pride.

What's more I love Robert Rodriguez and Chingon builds on that and beefs his movies up with pure awesomeness.

Seriously Mexican/Latin American music has a soul that just can't be duplicated.

Yay! Guess who's bored and was sent a bunch of these from friends who are just as bored as she.

Name someone who always makes you smile?
- Brandon.

What were you doing at 8:00 this morning?
- That's slightly NC-17.

I was sleeping!

What were you doing 30 minutes ago?
- Driving home from the art gallery.

What were you doing 3 hours ago?
- Christina's baby's first birthday party.

What did you do last night?
- Went to dinner at this new Greek place with Brandon, strolled down a few streets in Long Beach. Was kinda sweet in the comfortable boyfriend-girlfriend way.

Explain why you last threw up?
- Sick.

What color is your hairbrush?
- Shimmery green.

What was the weather like today?
- Off and on rainy.

Where did your last hug take place?
- Christina's grandfather's house.

What are you excited for?
- Going to Heroes fan day Tuesday morning.

Closest thing to you thats green?
- A pen that reads "OLD TOWNE HOTEL and conference center."

Last person you spoke to?
- Brandon.

Are you very random?
- I can be spontaneous and odd. Random is such an overused word these days.

Do you want to get your hair cut?
- Not really. Maybe dyed. Haven't had that done in 4 years.

Are you over the age of 25?
- No.

Do you talk a lot?
- Sometimes.

Do you watch The O.C.?
- Never seen an episode.

Does your screen name have an "x" in it?
- No.

Do you know anyone named Kelsey?
- I know of a couple named that, but none personally.

Do you make up your own words?
- If our president can do it...

Are you ticklish?
- Mostly only on my back. Weird, I know, but running fingertips on it makes me tingle and squirm.

Are you a jealous person?
- I can be envious, but I haven't really been jealous. I suppose I could be if in the right situation.

Do you chew on your straws?
- No.

Do you have curly hair?
- Wavy, yes. Frizzy, definitely. Curly, no.

What is the next concert you're going to?
- Most likely Voidcrush, if you count that as a concert and not a show at a club or bar.

Where did you go today?
- McDonald's for breakfast with Brandon, the bank, AAA to get guidebooks, Christina's grandpa's house for Jayne's birthday, Picture This! art gallery for the show reception.

What is something you say a lot?
- "Hi there, boyfriend person." There isn't really anything in particular that I say a lot over other things. Other than your basic swears.

What are you doing tonight?
- I'm probably staying home the rest of the night, unless Brandon feels like hitting the beach with me to smoke some cigars.

Who was the last person to say they loved you?
- Brandon.

What should you be doing right now?
- I dunno. Studying for my math exam on Wednesday?

Do you have a nickname?
- Rogue. Geek Pimptress (according to Reverend Tracy from Rocky Horror).

Are you a heavy sleeper?
- Sometimes. I could sleep through the apocalypse, but a pin drop could make me sit bolt upright from the deepest sleep.

What are you listening to?
- The current song going through the shuffle is "London Calling" by the Clash.

What's the best movie you've seen in the past two weeks?
- It's a tie between Iceman and Cinema Paradiso. I've seen the latter before, but it still makes me tear up with how it plays out.

Is there anyone you like right now?
- Basch! I should probably give up on him, though. You know... being a video game character and all.

When was the last time you did the dishes?
- It's been a while.

Did you cry today?
- No.

Do you like Chinese food?
- Definitely.

How big is your bed?
- Full size. Wish it were a queen size, though Brandon and I fit on my bed pretty well (Not a sex reference. Brandon lives with me and we share the bed.)

Laptop or desktop computer?
- Either, so long as I can occasionally lay down and read things at the same time.

Does anyone like you?
- Yeah.

Sleep with or without clothes on?
- With.

Who sleeps with you every night?
- Brandon. Miko once in a while.

Do long distance relationships work?
- Short answer, no. Look for my responses to things in Sunset for the long answer.

How many times have you been pulled over by the police?
- Never, although I was really scared that I was going to be today. Didn't do anything wrong, but this cop that was going to turn into a driveway suddenly shot to get behind me in the left turn lane at an intersection. After we turned, he pulled over the guy in front of me.

Pancakes or french toast?
French toast. But pancakes if there's butter pecan syrup.

Do you like coffee?
- YES!

Number of pillows?
- 1 is good.

What are you wearing right now?
- Black pants, dark green 3/4-sleeve shirt with a white ribbed-undershirt under that. Barefoot.

What/who do you miss?
- The way Rocky used to be. The Golden Age is over and thankfully I was around for the climax.

Can you play pool?
- Not well.

Do you like maps?
- I'm more obsessed with calendars.

Tell me a random fact
- A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes.

Ever do a keg stand?
- ?.

Craziest place you've slept?
- Hanging off the catwalk in the rafters of the Cashman Theater in Las Vegas, was laying on it above the stage during this act where all these girls were stripping their clothes off at Cirque du Rockeil and since I'd been up since 3 a.m. I dozed off. Watched the act again later when I was doing the spotlighting for it.

Last time you laughed at something stupid?
- Jayne got her own cake at the birthday party and was running her hands through it and getting cake all over herself at the party today. Couldn't stop laughing.

What time did you wake up this morning?
- 8:30, maybe?

Wake up next to anyone this morning?
- Brandon.

Best thing about winter?
- Good reason to wear scarves.

Worst thing about winter?
- It gets too damn cold sometimes.

Name a couple of favorite colors
- Green, black, brown.

What are you doing this weekend?
- Not sure about tomorrow, but I'm sure you can guess what I did with the day based on many of the answers and redundant questions.

What's in your wallet?
- LOTS and LOTS of ticket stub and old wristbands from concerts and movies, my state and student IDs, library card, ATM/debit card, museum membership, social security card (Yes, I carry it around, though I probably shouldn't ), notes and phone numbers that I never do anything with, and as expected: no money.

What's under your bed?
- Carpet. I just moved into a new room.

What's on that way top shelf or in the very far back of your closet?
- A dust-covered pair of pants that I haven't worn probably since middle school.

What's in your underwear drawer?
- Don't have a specific underwear drawer. Seriously.

What's in the trunk of your car?
- A spare tire, a shredded-up tire, a Volvo-specific jack, tire iron, old newspapers. That's all I can think of without going outside and checking.

What's in your desk or locker?
- Don't have a locker, so desk contents: signed Mallrats shirt, spare cables for phones and computers, push pins, empty condom boxes, my passport, my insurance claims paperwork from 3 years ago, and a whole lot of little trinkets and shit I should probably sort through and get rid of.

Do you have a super-secret hiding place and what's in it?
- Hiding place? Maybe my backpack with the non-empty condom boxes.

Do you feel guilty about something right now, if yes what?
- Not feeling guilty for anything right now.

What is the most embarassing thing in your room right now?
- Embarrassing? Probably all the trash.

Have you done something recently you hope no one finds out about?
- None that I can think of.

What is your last thought before you fall asleep?
- I dunno. Usually when I'm on my way to falling asleep my thoughts drift wherever they wish.

How long have those leftovers been in the fridge?
- Other than the Chris-N-Pits mashed potatoes I refuse to reheat since the last time I had them I was sick for 3 days straight, there really aren't any leftovers in there.

If I confiscated your computer and took a look around....what would I find?
- A whole lot of unedited pictures with no names or anything, that I took of the band and other things. Otherwise nothing good.

Do you sleep with anything?
- Other than Brandon? A pillow.

What is your midnight snack weakness?
- When it's late and Brandon's band just got done with a gig, maybe a shredded beef burrito at Del Taco.

Have you ever vandalized anything?
- I once cut a picture out of a library book.

Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
- Enough with that Batman reference already. Jeez.

What do you wait until no one is looking to do?
- Read Literotica novellas.

Have you told the truth in this survey?
- Sure, why not.

I did also dwell on Micah becoming an anti-hero like Batman. Then I thought of the irony of it since Batman's gadget-driven with computers, cars, and other devices.

Claire's blood looks red to me. Just sayin'...

Just got back from one of my dad's company Christmas parties. I wish his co-workers would stop introducing my boyfriend to other people as my dad's son-in-law.

Anyway... need to make a sign for the picket on Tuesday.

So since we've already ventured into the holiday season, anyone got anything special planned?

My sordid schemes:

It seems like my winter break has been mapped out by other people for me, despite the details being thrown in my lap.

Christmas eve'll be spent with my parents as they're hosting the family Christmas party. Sometime in the afternoon on Christmas, driving out to Arizona with Brandon (Zoso) and his brother for belated Christmas celebration with their mother and the rest of their family out there.

While in Arizona we'll probably head down to Tombstone or something to check out the OK Corral and other things down that way. Will probably also go back to the Heart Attack Grill some time there.

Pictures from the last time we were there:

Then after driving back from there, spending New Year's eve at a friend's house and then driving New Year's day up to San Jose with Lee (Zabuza/BREW Ninja) and Brandon, hanging out in San Francisco, and flying back January 6.

I resume classes January 15.
