True. Two cats.
The person below me still owns a few action figures. |

Like I completely had no cares, no qualms at the same time and it was sheer bliss? I think that would be the last time I was up in the Bay Area, last May. We saw all sorts of amazing things and walked wherever it pleased us.
I mean, con season was more recent, but I still spent a good chunk of the time worried about money. What was the reason for the last time you shed a tear? |

False. I don't have that kind of skill with Legos.
The person below me would rather use one of those Coinstar machines than spend the time rolling pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. |

The original, if you're talking the animated one. Burton's "remake" was actually a sequel on the level of "Return to Oz." The only redeeming scene in it, for me, was when Alice fights the Jabberwocky.
What movie can you quote line for line without help? |

Rogue, I guess. It's the the handle I use everywhere, and more people know me by it than by my actual name.
Do you use coupons, or are they beneath you? |

Damn right. I don't think I've had a job where there wasn't someone that annoyed everyone around them.

Under the table: Veterinary assistant for my uncle when I was 14.
Legit: Intern for Kaiser Permanente when I was 17. I ran the medical records for a psychiatric ward. What was was the very first movie you can remember seeing? (Last edited by Rogue on 09-16-10 04:50 PM) |

I just got a copy of the media law book that this picture I took was printed in. I'm also in the acknowledgments. I dig it.
I'm not making any money off the printing, but I'm getting a few copies of the book a year. I've agreed that the picture can be used for a few years. Hell, if she wants she can use it as long as she likes. I also finally went over to the newspaper office to secure a photographer for this interview I'm doing next week. I'm feeling productive today and that makes me happy. And sweet, after my class tonight, it's just my graphic novel class tomorrow and I'm done for the week. Hawt. |

My boyfriend used to smoke pot before we got together. It's a similar situation to yours really. Both his parents are stoners. They're separated, though. His dad lives in another part of California as us, while his mom lives in Arizona. Their other kids are also stoners, in fact, the mom insisted my boyfriend's sister smoke it because she has trouble sleeping.
Outside of that, it seems everyone on his mom's side other than his grandmother also smoke pot, or used to anyway. Every time we go on a trip to Arizona, Brandon (the boyfriend) drives his mom's car while we're going around on day trips to different areas of the state with his mom, sister and brother getting stoned in the backseat. His dad, actually used to be really secretive about it because he figured I'd look down on him. He still doesn't smoke it around me when we visit. They all go into a backroom to smoke it in a closet. I've never done an illicit drug, personally. But I have no objection to other people doing it. It's their bodies. |

Originally posted by Urban Astronaut Seems like 3/5 of my friends are stoners, or otherwise used to be. While most of them are pretty cool, I notice with a good chunk of them, if they aren't stoned they get angry or irritated VERY easily. These are mostly the ones who smoke every single day and will duck into their car or a back alley to toke up when no one's looking. |

The person below me doesn't keep up with the reading when a teacher assigns it. |

Teacher. I've always heard, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." And it seems that's always what we have to fall back on in terms of getting our degrees, trying to build our careers, and then end up teaching about it instead.
Frankly, I'd rather not become a teacher, but I've always loved opening people up to new things, taking them on tours and explaining concepts to them. Sometimes I go to museums and imagine what it would be like to take kids there, or my own should I choose to have any. But then again, I might not have the patience for miscreants. We'll see. What the last book you made a mental note to find and read? If you can't think of a book, a movie then? |

Difficult.. I'm just gonna go with either Hercules or Xena since they go hand-in-hand, but I really wasn't into the last seasons of Xena. After those would probably be Star Trek: Voyager. But I could literally go forever on this topic.
What is the most unlikely smell that evokes a wonderful memory for you? |

True and false. I'm not up on everything, but I'm decently informed when it comes to more local and national news, I suppose.
The person below me thinks a Spartan warrior would beat a Roman centurion in battle. |

FALSE.
The only reason why I've seen anything of it was because Stitch was watching it when I visited him up in San Francisco last year. I didn't like it then and I have yet to watch it any other time. The person below me would take a job as a lighthouse keeper where he would never have to talk to anyone and would be alone all the time. |

We're quickly going through "Rome" now. We're half-way through the second (and last) season.
It's pretty good, but saying "Spartacus: Sand and Blood" isn't as good really isn't a fair statement. "Spartacus" focuses more on the gladiatorial stuff, the action, sex, and all of that. "Rome" has sex and violence but focuses more on subterfuge. Next we're going to play catch-up with "Sons of Anarchy" and "Hung." |

I dug the first issue. When I have the cash, I'll buy the first volume.
We're getting ready to read Eisner's "Contract with God," otherwise I'm still powering through a few things I've mentioned in previous posts. |
