I'm sure it is, but who'd really go for it?

"we don’t need a photo of your face, but we do need to see a photo of your vagina"

Here's the whole thing, since Craig's List does tend to delete posts after a day or so:

A new sketch comedy show for Showtime called "D. Underground" is looking for a few women who would be open to nudity in a sketch that will be shot in the month of March.

The sketch requires getting a direct shot of a woman’s vagina. To be specific, the role would have a woman walk onto a stage and sit on a stool with her legs open. Her face would not be shown, the camera would only show from the waist down.

THIS IS NOT PORN. THERE WOULD BE NO TOUCHING OF ANY KIND.

This would be shot in a closed set (meaning only the director and crew absolutely necessary to shoot) would be present.

We are looking for women of all ages (over 18) and ethnicities. We will be casting three women between the ages of 18 to 30 and one woman over 50.

Payment for this job would be AFTRA scale, which would be $370 for the day.

Because of the close-up camera shot this sketch requires, we need to be able to see a picture of the vagina beforehand to make sure there are no birthmarks, etc.

We understand that this may seem like a strange request. Feel free to call me with any questions (or to verify legitimacy) by calling 818-238-0215 and speaking with Sara.

Our goal to treat each woman with dignity and respect with this sensitive position.

Because the shot would be from the waist down, we don’t need a photo of your face, but we do need to see a photo of your vagina. To be considered for this role please email a tasteful photo of your vagina with a contact phone number.

We also need to cast women who can dance as strippers for another sketch. Each woman would be fully clothed, with her face showing, dancing seductively.

If you would like to be considered for this role as well please let me know in your email and include a photo of your full body (clothed, we just need to see your body shape and face).

Thank you.

* Job location is Burbank
* Compensation: $370
* no -- Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
* no -- Please, no phone calls about this job!
* no -- Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.
* no -- Reposting this message elsewhere is NOT OK.

I don't give a shit about that last request.

Well I'm not going for it. A friend of mine found it and sent along the link for a laugh.

It smells a bit fishy. Pardon the unintended pun.

Someone give me some love on Ultraviolet.

I have no background on it, and upon seeing the ads for it was just wow'd left and right.

I'm praying it isn't another Aeon Flux. Ultraviolet looks fuckin' rad, though.

The picture in question:

Yeah... I don't blame him really. I haven't really been a fan of landscapes, fruit bowls, flowers in vases, or several forms of abstract expressionism, but go figure.

Really he shouldn't have done it and I wouldn't have appreciated it if it was something I liked, but he did it, it's done.

$1.5 million for that? That seems like the bigger crime.

Heh, I was once addicted to eBay and then the addiction swung to Amazon.

Do we need to put you through detox too?

I'm right there with you, but since I buy off of my check card, I need to wait 'til I get paid to drop money in my account and then probably drop it at Amazon (after I pay my debts to Zabuza and kittybob, that is). Hell, my last Amazon purchase was during a class.

I've seen this before, but from the point of view of someone who lives on the street. They shot video of the balls coming down the hill and posted it on eBaum's.

They did mention that someone was shooting a commercial and I was wondering about it. Heh.

I work in an office about the size of my living room (around 20 ft x 15 ft x 9 ft).

It's not too bad, though even when I'm not on the clock (since my office is also where I hang out and most of my classes are next door), my boss asks me to do things like make copies, putting papers in order, picking up mail from the mail room across campus, and whatnot.

And on the paper's production days, when the editors are putting the pages together, I end up saddled with doing a few people's pages despite the fact that I'm really not supposed to be doing that.

It's like the other day when I had plans to meet Zabuza for lunch as I was heading out the door, my boss chases me down and hands me some things he wanted copied for the editor-in-chief, who was standing right there. What annoyed me more about this was the ed-in-chief also has a job there, she gets paid twice the hours I get (since she somehow convinced the school that she's so poor, she needs to be in the work-study program) and she's not even there a quarter of the time I'm there. She can make her own copies. The copier is flippin' right down the hall. The editors have been complaining that she's never around.

Anyway, the positives of my job have been that I can make my own hours, there isn't that much work to do that isn't on a production day, I can surf the web on our T3 connection all I want, I still get a lot of experience for the jobs I'm looking for. I also get invited to go to certain events for free on press passes, receive promotional CDs and DVDs and so on.

Ethicists blast fake blood study

CHICAGO Imagine after a car crash lying unconscious and bleeding in an ambulance as paramedics, and later, the hospital give you an experimental blood substitute before doctors try the real thing.

Ethicists say a nationwide study doing just that on hundreds of trauma patients without their consent should be halted.

It's a renewed attack on research that began in 2004 after Northfield Laboratories in Evanston got federal approval for its study of the blood substitute Polyheme.

A Wall Street Journal article last week suggested the company tried to conceal heart attacks that occurred in a separate Polyheme study six years ago.

Northfield halted that study and hasn't published the full results. But company Chairman Doctor Steven Gould says there were no safety problems and no attempts at secrecy.

An article to appear next week on the Web site of the American Journal of Bioethics says the newer study is unethical because many participants didn't know about that previous study.

So should doctors have the right to use "fake blood"? Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it: Artificial Blood

I went under last month I believe. They charged me a $7 fee, for the first time at least.

But I put in about $350 recently, so I should be good for awhile.

I have my Visa debit locked into there too. And all it takes is that little button, that 1-click shopping button. That button can get anyone into an awful lot of trouble.

I've never had any problems with Amazon, despite what I'd heard about its beta days. I absolutely love it.

Oh god, I remember when people loaded these into bots to piss people off in chatrooms in the mid-90s.

That one with the alien jerking off saying, "The UFOs are cumming!!!" was probably the most used and most annoying. Then of course there's that whole LOL and the finger category that's been done a lot.

Man stopped for haircut in middle of police chase
By Jim Kelly
Mar 4, 2006, 00:29

A Thunder Bay man who stopped for a haircut while police were chasing him was handed a three-year and 30-day penitentiary term Friday for numerous charges in Ontario Court.

Judge F.A. Sargent gave Nathan Clifford Myles, 25, one year for dangerous driving, one year consecutive for failing to stop for police and six months consecutive for each of two charges of obstructing a peace officer and breach of recognizance.

Myles got six months concurrent for possession of a firearm while prohibited to do so, 30 days consecutive for assault and time served for threatening to cause death.
Myles had earlier pleaded guilty to the offences for which he was sentenced.

The incident involving Myles began just after 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1 when a uniformed RCMP officer in an unmarked car attempted to pull over a driver behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Cavalier.

The officer noticed the vehicle being driven in an erratic manner.

Myles refused to stop and continued into the parking lot of a grocery store where he slammed into several shopping carts.

He then abandoned the car and fled on foot along James Street.

He couldn’t have been in too much of a rush, as he took the time to have a haircut in a nearby salon.

His hair shorn, he tried to get into a taxi when he was arrested just after 1 p.m. near the corner of Arthur and Madison streets.

A search of the Cavalier turned up a handgun and a rifle.

While Myles was getting his haircut, more than 1,500 students and staff were locked down in their schools over the lunch hour because a gun magazine found in the car led police to believe a firearm could be involved.

Because the school lunch hour was near, the school boards were alerted.

About 450 students were affected at Agnew H. Johnston and Edgewater Park elementary schools.

Another 1,090 students and staff were confined to St. Vincent, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Francis and St. Edward’s schools.

The assault conviction stems from an incident in the District Jail on Feb. 25 when Myles’ cell-mate complained he was assaulted.

The threatening charge Myles was found guilty of occurred on Storm Bay Road in Kenora.

Myles’ lawyer Dave Bruzzese asked Sargent if his client could be incarcerated in a British Columbia penitentiary so he could be near his family.

Sargent could make the recommendation, but the final decision rests with Correctional Service Canada.

OK, in all honesty, I've pondered how lazy our society has become with all of the conveniences we have in this digital, fast-paced world. Really, I have wondered what we'd be like if we just hunted for ourselves.

Artist beheads rabbits for show
Clare Chapman, Berlin

A GERMAN artist is facing prosecution after beheading two rabbits at a gallery in an attempt to portray man’s predatory instincts. Falk Richwien, 43, claims he was helping startled onlookers to break with the “supermarket culture” of the 21st century and reconnect with their hunter-gatherer lineage. Animal welfare activists have branded him a monster.

Visitors to Richwien’s exhibition at the Monsterkeller gallery were warned that “the management takes no responsibility for damage to the body, mind or clothing”. Forty watched as he broke the rabbits’ necks before hacking off their heads with a meat cleaver and smearing himself with their blood.

“The atmosphere was very intense,” said Till Fuhrmann, 36. “You could tell people were struggling with their feelings.”

Richwein defended his work, saying: “I wanted to show people that we stem from the predator, Homo sapiens.”

But Wolfgang Apel, president of the German Animal Protection Alliance, claimed the rabbits must have suffered terribly. “I’m also very disappointed that no members of the audience stepped in to stop the brutality,” he added.

The artist preserved the animals’ heads in formaldehyde but roasted their meat and served it at an “art dinner” despite being told he could be breaching hygiene regulations.

LOL! You're funny.

It's in reference to playing GTA: SA in that while you're being chased by the cops, if you run into a building the police A.I. don't come in after you, so your character can partake in whatever the establishment has to offer.

Example: if you run into a liquor store, you can play the video games and whatnot that's offered for you to play in the game, when your character is in the building. However, the second you take a step out the door, you risk getting shot right off the bat.

No, there is no direct reference to GTA within the story, but a subtle observational quip.

MAKERS of the hit cartoon The Simpsons have a filmed the show's opening titles using real actors.

In the hit viral going around the world we get to see what Bart, Homer, Marg, Lisa and Maggie would look like if they were humans.

And you can be among the first to watch the hilarious titles, filmed over 18 months in Britain, by clicking one of the links below.

The clip re-enacts the title sequence to a tee beginning with the camera zooming into a schoolroom to see a blonde Bart scribbling lines on the blackboard.

Simpson’s maker Matt Groening has approved the human version of the show’s opening credits to promote the brand new series.

Sky One will broadcast the promo as its viewers gear up for the The Simpson's 17th season which begins on March 20.

An insider said: "We're really excited about it.

"We used regular actors, not so much for their resemblance - as you can't copy a bunch of yellow characters - but becuase you can easily identify with them."

A balding actor plays Homer as he leaves work dropping some nuclear waste out of the window on the way home.

While a baby girl copies the scene where Maggie appears to be driving Marg’s car.

The opening montage ends with the whole family squeezed on the settee ready to watch the cartoon version of the show.

I think one of the reasons why people "were struggling with their feelings," is that as a society, we've come to see rabbits, squirrels, and other such creatures as cute and cuddly, rather than as possible food like we might have in our hunting days. We've stopped seeing the other critters around us as a food source since we simply buy our food, already killed by someone else, in a store. That's the message he's going for.

We're born into a world where we place emotions on the welfare of the cute. And I'll be honest, I don't think I can watch March of the Penguins anymore with how depressed I got watching it.

I get the message the man is trying to send out. As a performance artist shock value is a veritable tool. You do something like this, they won't forget it. However, he chose the wrong audience to try this on. It doesn't sound like his message went very far as the people who watched him do it left disturbed than enlightened, not that there's any real philosophical meaning to beheading rabbits for an audience.

In the end, it would have been best if he hadn't pulled such a stunt. It caused more problems than he gambled for I'm sure.

But think of it this way: a simple "hack artist" all the way in Germany is being talked about by teens and 20-somethings in America and from around the world. He got his name in the papers, and now people who weren't there to witness the stunt, and can ponder a deeper meaning behind it, are discussing him.

I don't agree with what he did, but he got his message out.
