Yeah, I "only" have about 959 posts to go (including this one) -- but maybe I can actually get to 100 posts in this lifetime. Anyway, congrats to you Xeo ( ) -- now let's see how many more people follow in your footsteps.

Yeah, we'll probably never hear from him again -- or, he may prove as all wrong and make that ever-elusive second post. Anyway, welcome to Xeogaming (again), Xepho -- have fun during your stay here and stay active.

Among those choices listed there, I would drink tea and/or hot chocolate -- although I haven't had much of either of those as of late. I've heard some good benefits to drinking Green Tea, but I've never had that before. Amazingly enough, I've never had Japanese tea before either.

I used to be able to say that I couldn't live without my games, but now I say that I can't live without my Japanese. I can't go through the day without spending at least 2 or 3 hours studying something Japanese. Since most of my correspondence is online, I can't live without my computer either. So, there you go.

Only because I want to drink genuine Japanese tea, and not the stuff that you buy in stores around here. Another reason is that it can get very expensive to buy Japanese tea, so I want to see if I can buy in bulk. I'll try the cold tea first, and then the hot tea.

Does anyone remember playing this game for the NES? I think the game came out in 1988, and it consisted of about 50 or so levels (not sure since I only got to Level 45). You move a little wizard around to find the key to the next level. It was very innovative for its time, and it was kind of fun to play. Not sure if you'll be able to find this game anymore, but when I bought mine years ago, it was kind of cheap.

Okay, here's a topic for you guys to consider: What has been the biggest accomplishments of the past school year for you? I know most of you are still in school, so this question can probably go a long way. This can apply to people who go to college as well. I know that I'm not going to school, but the biggest accomplishment for me (so far this year) is actually getting the courage to speak with my friend in Japanese. I think I'm getting better little by little, and the more I talk to her (and make mistakes), the more I'm confident to keep going.

Recently, there have been quite a few movies released that have had a lot of violences/guts/gore in them. My question to you is, how tolerative are you when it comes to that stuff? On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 meaning you'd only watch G movies, and 10 for only R movies), rate your level of threshold for guts and gore. For me, my rating would probably be an 8. I can tolerate a lot of it, but I guess I have to draw the line somewhere.

For the last few months before Acmlm's "reset" in March 2004, I was going by the name of Valeth. However, I did not change my name at all in response to the multiple sex changes that were going on (or at any other time, for that matter). I don't foresee ever changing my name -- it's the name I think everyone is used to anyway.

I usually listen to more J-pop than J-rock. I've only heard of 3 of those artists/bands you have listed there. I mostly listen to the following J-pop bands/artists:

Hamasaki Ayumi
Utada Hikaru
Matsuura Aya
Shimatani Hitomi
Do As Infinity
BoA
Day After Tomorrow

This is some of the artists/bands that I listen to.

Posted on 06-20-05 07:12 PM, in AOL To Get Rid of AIM? Link
This was e-mail forward that I got from a member of this board:

Dear America Online and Instant Messages users:

Our America online staff is planning to take away IM by July
18th, 2005. If you want to keep our IM free of charge, send this email to
everyone you know. It will be used as a petition. Each person you send
this to counts as one "signature" If this petition gets 100,000 signatures
they will keep AOL IM.

If they do not receive 100,000 votes you will have to pay 15.00 to have IM
(per month). If you don't care about this then please for everyone's
sake help out a little. Thank you for your time and consideration and
please help AOL beat their vote.

This is a scam, people. Do NOT send any forwards if you receive this e-mail. There has not been an announcement on aol.com or any other place announcing the possibility of this. I suggest you do NOT open this e-mail if you receive it. Oh, and there's all kinds of discrepancies in this e-mail to prove that it's a hoax.

Ponterios, maybe I'm just going senile or something here, but I do believe that you can block individual layouts in this version. That way, if one is actually bothering you that bad, you can turn their's off and still be able to see your own.

This game is set to release in Japan on August 4, 2005. I have not heard or read anywhere whether this game will be out here in the US. But here's the official site (in Japanese though) of the game: Grandia 3

Click on the Japanese text in the middle of the screen to enter the site. When inside, click on the treasure chest in the menu on the bottom left corner there (called "Special") to see a 3 minute, 8 seconds trailer of the game. Screenshots are amazing here -- and it looks like it's going to be quite an improvement over 2 and Xtreme.

Yeah, but there's nothing like beating all the bosses with all of your characters at Level 200 though.

Well, if I had any shop that had to do with Japanese near my house, I'd be broke (seriously) -- and not be able to save one dime, lol. But even with the bills I pay every month, I still manage to set aside for myself about $150 to $200. Xeo, you have to admit though -- it leaves a nasty hole in your wallet after spending that much money.

Actually, it hasn't rained that much around here in about 10 days -- save with the few sprinkles here and there a few days ago. Fall is coming closer and closer around here and you know what that means... * mumble, mumble * Yeah, snow is the just around the corner. It's been in the high 50s to low 60s for overnight weather for a about a week now.

From the screenshots, opening movie, and trailer, this game is going to shape up to be one of the best "Tales of" games that Namco has made. Now, I don't want to spoil it by describing anymore of the game, so here's a couple of links to the game for both the English website and the Japanese website of the game. Frankly, the Japanese website is better.

Also, you can click here to view a special trailer (in Japanese though). The link to view it is under the screenshots.

Frankly, I can't wait to play this game -- I already put an order in for the Japanese version, I should get it tomorrow maybe.

The actual title is "Tales of Legendia" -- there's no other title. That's the title on the box, and that's the title that loads up when you put the disc in.

Anyway, this game kicks ass, seriously. It's about a boy named Senel Coolidge. At the beginning of the game, he and his younger sister (2 years younger) get attacked buy a monster and they wound up being stranded on nearby island. Also right after, his sister gets kidnapped by a "thief" and thus begins the adventure.

The game is based on a premise of Soujutsu (which is hard to translate or explain), but is sort of like the name of a Japanese city or town. The battles are in real time, and you get to equip as many as 4 spells to your controller buttons. You get to make 50 types of bread sandwiches (including Toast, Ham Sandwiches, and Hot Dogs) by collecting ingredients in the world. There is A LOT to collect in this game (somewhere in the neighborhood of about 500 items) and is a pretty long game. Let me explain what else it has: It contains 7 chapters of the main storyline and a character quest for 6 of your 8 characters. (When you think about it, the main storyline is about the other two characters. ) I've already accumulated about 14 hours of play, am on Chapter 2, and have my characters averaging Level 9. My Japanese still needs some tuning, but I know enough to get through the game somewhat.

This game is fun. I'm hoping the game comes over here to the US (only because I'm curious to see what kind of differences will be in it).
