You must have changed the coding for config.php somehow, you need to open up that file and find that corresponding error.

Congratulations on getting that interview for Best Buy, Xeo. It seems like it would be a wonderful place to work at. But I know what you mean about the people and managers of a particular workplace. Where I have been working for the past 3 years, they are bringing more and more managers that don't know what they are doing. All the managers that did know what they were doing went to other stores. I hope you get to keep Best Buy though, Xeo. It would be better than Jiffy Lube.

I would say that being away from the board for a while would definitely be an indication that you are on vacation. Well, if you can't do a custom title, you could always put something in your signature.

Well, as the Japanese would say:

お誕生日おめでとうございます!

Maybe the novelty of "getting wasted" is wearing off as you get older. There's plenty of other ways you can celebrate that. Anyway, Happy Birthday to you man, hope you have a good one.

If you are talking about the status image that shows up in the profile, you would need status.php to run that, and that file comes with 1.92, 1.A2, and 1.A3 already.

Wow, living in New Hampshire shouldn't be this hot. Usually I have the air conditioner going here about a few hours into the day, but when I got up today it was already on. When I got out of work last night, it was 87 deadgrees (intentional misspelling), and supposedly it's supposed to get into the triple digits today as well.

Well, you will need font.png to display the font in the status image, but that's it. Since the boxes are drawn from commands, you shouldn't need any other images.

Yeah, this actually looks better like that -- I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Most of the pictures from the older members didn't come up anyway and the page would just hang there. Xeo, yeah I took that out a long time ago, I didn't see the point of having that there -- especially for members that have really long bios, the tables would stretch to the next room.

Thanks TP, I really appreciate this a lot. Yeah, I turned 29 today, can you believe it? Amazingly enough, I only started with message boards when I was only 26. Before that, I didn't know much about them. But I've come a long way. This weekend, I went to Massachusetts to buy books, bought a lot of games from YesAsia online (VP2, Legend of Mana, DQ4, DQ7, and DQ8 -- all Japanese versions for dirt cheap), went to eat a lot of Chinese food, and my grandmother gave me some money. All in all, this has been a good birthday for me this year.

Let me just say that this game is pure awesomeness. I received this game last week along with a number of others from YesAsia. Unfortunately, this game isn't coming out for another 2 months (here in America), but it's well worth the wait, let me tell you. When you put the game in at first, watch the opening CG movie, it's about 5 minutes and it tells the story of what's going to happen. The game has 6 chapters in it, but there's a lot to do. The potential for powerful characters is unreal. I believe the game has about 30 characters you can level up. You will get to meet a couple of characters from the first VP -- like Lezard Valeth and Arngrim (Aruze in the Japanese version). The battlegrounds are amazing -- it doesn't get boring at all. The nice thing about the fighting is that you fight most of the bosses again and again. Overall, this game has massive replay value. Anyway, just wanted to give you a little insight as to the awesomeness of this game.

Right now, I am in Chapter 3 with out 12 hours into the game and my characters averaging between 1 and 10. Anyone have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Here's both the original Japanese and the translation of the back of the box:

Humans and Gods. The story of them living together.

Two Hereos Living Together As One
The hero of the previous story -- Lenneth's younger sister Battle Maiden Silmeria and Dipan's own very first princess, Alicia.
Co-existing as one body and spirit, beautiful and sad, the story of people and gods interweaving together.

Battle Fields Are In 3D ------ The Winning Strategy
Beating the enemy group leader will win you the battle.
Both the difference in level (?) and the obstacles are in 3D space, having good efficient movement on the field, quickly attacking the leader, thinking about the movement route, spliting into two movement groups being very important.

Using Action Koushi *
When you hit enemy or objects with the koushi, it will temporarily turn into a crystal.
If you shoot the koushi again while in crystal form, you will switch places with it.
This use will help you progress through the dungeons easier.

* There is no real translation for this word, probably made up for the game. However, like VP1, you can shoot a "beam" of sorts to freeze the enemy. You can also do this for objects.

Well, there you go. I did the best I could on the translations, but I had to take some liberties on a few of the words.

Yeah, I try to come on here everyday and at least read the new posts -- even though I don't post that much. I come here first before any other board that I go to. As for NFF . . . well, I don't know what to say about that, it was once an active board. * shrugs * Maybe one day it will get active again, who knows.

My car is beige/gold, and since those colors aren't up there, I would probably fit inbetween the yellow and the cream colored characteristics, lol.

This clip is really funny, I was laughing my oshiri off when I was watching it.

By the way, here's the table layout:

A -------------------- B
C -------------------- D
E -------------------- F

The two comedians that are sitting in seats C and F are two of the most funniest comedians in all of Japan. They have a show called Hey! Hey! Hey! where they mostly make fun of celebrities, lol. Collectively, they're called "Downtown." Enjoy.

Most of the translations on the furippu (flip cards) were good except for the first one "Outwitted." The characters actually say "hanage nuki" -- which means "nose hair-pulling." I love Engrish, so much fun.

Yes, I know what you mean there Xeo -- I had to take down my main site because I was tired of the pop-ups coming up and the stupid spambots invading the guestbook. Anyway, I might try again soon with the same software. If it happens again though, I'll just have to live with the 2 forums for now.

Posted on 10-02-06 02:24 AM, in Japanese Culture Night... Not EXACTLY what I think of. Link
Just a few corrections here:

It is Nihongo GA hanasemasu ka? not WO, because the object "nihongo" is receiving the action, not doing the action. If Japanese is being spoken (which would mean that the object is doing the action), then WO would be the correct particle (and thus the verb would change to hanashimasu).

Nelrith, I think you're trying to say this:
Hai, nihongo ga hanasemasu. Demo, mada jouzu ja nai desu kara, renshuu shinakereba naranai desu.
Yes, I can speak Japanese. But since I'm not good (enough) yet, I still have to practice.

Also, once you introduce yourself as "watashi" in a sentence, don't switch to "boku."
The proper way to say "have to do something" is "shinakereba naranai."
For adjectives that end in "I", you don't need the NA/NO particle. These are called True Adjectives. For adjectives that don't end in "I", you will need to have the particle NO after the adjective, and not before.

Sorry to dissect so much, but just wanted to add my input, lol.

Edit: It's the object, not the subject. The mistake has been fixed above.

Hey Elara, maybe I somehow got your clock, because it said for me that I had over 2 billion seconds left, living to about 97 years old. I don't want to be that old, that's for sure.

If I get close to the end of the bag, I'll separate the colors sometimes. Most of the time, I'll just grab a few of them at once and put them in my mouth. I eat the plain ones more than the peanut ones though.

Amazingly enough, the second most active forum on the board is The Asylum, but it still has over 2,300 posts to go before getting to the 10,000 mark. And Rogue, I like your choices for the forums here.
