| Greetings, i've tried setting up an acmlm board with both version 1.92 and 1.A2. They both give me these 2 errors.
In lib/function when I replace $localhost with my MySQL host, it gives me this error Warning: mysql_connect(): Unknown MySQL Server Host 'mysql4freehostiacom' (1) in /home/www/innocentbystanders.freehostia.com/lib/function.php on line 15 When I leave $localhost alone, it gives me this error Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /home/www/innocentbystanders.freehostia.com/lib/function.php on line 15 On 1.92 I opened up my PhPadmin and installed the install.sql file and on 1.A2 I installed the dump.sql file. I'm sure i've done everything right and I can't figure out why it would be giving me this error. Can anybody help me with this problem? |

| It gives me the same error on both 1.92 and 1.A2. by replacing localhost, I mean i'm erasing it from lib/function and replacing it with my MySQL host because I read a thread on acmlm's board that said with freehostia you can't have localhost, you have to replace the code on line 15 with your MySQL host. And this is line 12 of 1.92(15 of 1.A2):
$sql=mysql_connect($sqlhost,USERname,PASS) or die('< body bgcolor=0 text=ffea>< font face=arial color=white>< br>< center>< b>Couldn't connect to MySQL server'); (I had to put a few spaces in there or the code wouldn't have showed up. This forum doesn't have code tags) I've tried leaving $localhost on there, putting my MySQL host in there, i've put my password as NULL, dumped my MySQL database and made a new one to try and see if that worked Nothing's worked |

| I have everything set up, How do I add new schemes/ranks
Also, I downloaded the Admin+. I uploaded it, but it's not working. EDIT: I got the schemes and ranks down, but I still haven't figured out what to do about the Admin+ and where can I get the RPG hack for the profiles? (Last edited by Zyphyr on 02-20-08 09:23 PM) |
