Very surprised, and really upset. Grrrr. Still dunno if my county stuff is all finished. I think they're still counting absentee ballots. (Last edited by Hannelore the Great on 11-04-10 02:33 PM) |

And seriously $18 for a registration fee and you'll get FREE admission to these places? That's a freaking bargain! Then again I'm sure most of the people who voted don't bother with going hiking or enjoying nature. I hope they get the money some other way. And they are indeed still counting absentees. The race for attorney general is still too close to call. Steve Cooley's claiming victory, but all other places I've checked said it was Harris. She had my vote. I hope she wins. Originally posted by Rogue I voted for Harris too. On the site, it looks like she's winning though. She has like 54% of the vote of something. (Last edited by Hannelore the Great on 11-04-10 03:23 PM) |

Yeah, those are the numbers I've seen from the SF Gate, but I've also been checking the Secretary of State's website, which the media uses as the official count (it actually crashed and was down most of election night so they were mostly guessing, at least down here in L.A. they were).
The race for attorney general has Harris at 45.9% and Cooley at 45.7%. Here's hoping the absentees come through. |

I was using this site, it says semi-official results, but whatever. I just searched for California 2010 election results, and that was one of the first links to pop up. (Last edited by Hannelore the Great on 11-05-10 04:33 PM) |

I also join the crowd annoyed that Prop 21 failed. People just don't care about our parks.
I checked in on the Pennsylvania elections... guys... what the fuck happened over there? |

Heh, you get to move into a swing voting state the politicians will visit more and make more promises to. I think I'd rather live there than the other two, though (Florida and Ohio).
Sorry, Hannelore, if I come off bossy. |

With the Harris vs Cooley race... it is super close and I am unsure who I would rather have win. Cooley did good, but then again I don't know much about Harris and she seems to be really popular... and I lean to her because she is a dem... but yeah, dunno. | |||

Between the two, I think Harris stands a better chance of filling the shoes Jerry Brown is departing for the governor's seat.
Brown was pretty tough. (Last edited by Rogue on 11-06-10 12:06 AM) |
