While this sounds really good in theory...and in practice...I don't care too much for these statistics. They're only going by what people SAY.

I am not against gays and lesbians serving. I am, however, cautious about putting my "vote" to something I couldn't particularly live with someone. So, at this point, I'd just keep my fingers crossed to the "pioneers" so to speak of this act being passed. I know plenty of assholes who were kicked outta the military for beating nearly to death people they even assumed were gay. And, while 80-something percent looks good, I wanna see 80-something percent PROVE that they don't care. In fact, it bothers me that they don't care. They SHOULD care. Because whether they're gay or not, they're serving beside them. So, everyone SHOULD care that these people are stood up for, not just persecuted. And yes, "these people." If they're allowed to be open about their sexuality, that unfortunately forms a new group. And that's just sad.

I'm speaking more objectively than subjectively here, by the way. :p I cringed when I typed "these people."

I had the best Christmas EVAR!

See, I have strep throat. So, I'm kinda pretty really sick right now. So, I got to avoid the family bullshit today. The only thing I was sad to have missed out on was being all over my Great-niece for her first Christmas. I'm so proud of my niece. She and her boyfriend have their own place and they did their own first Christmas together. But otherwise...family bullshit is inevitable with big families, but things have gotten worse. There's a much larger presence of cattiness, and so nothing is even remotely salvagable anymore.

So, I woke up early. Opened some presents. Got a pretty new coat, some pajamas, and two shirts. My grandparents got me a new workstation for my art and crapola. And my mom began the process of repaying me some of the money she owes me. (Yes, her re-payment is a gift. And if I wasn't up to my eyeballs in medical debt, I wouldn't have taken it. I consider money toward her "given." but alas, I secretly needed it.) But then, I got to go back to bed. Woke up to some food brought to me. Ate. Went back to bed. Woke up, ate some more. Took a really long, really hot bath, went back to sleep, and here I am. About to go back to sleep. XD

The most rest I've gotten in AGES. Uninterrupted too!

I hope everyone else had a wonderful day as well.

Sorry, I should have specified. :p My Great-niece is 7 months old. My niece is the mother. She's only 16. Yah, got herself knocked up at 15 and had the baby a little less than a month after turnin 16. She's still super young, imo, but ehh, what's too young anymore? =/

Sex? Yeah....I can honestly say that I finally, truly, honest to goodness, enjoy it quite thoroughly, and my boyfriend is happy to oblige. I don't think I was grown up enough for it, and I'm sure I still have plenty of growing to do. Harboring certain insecurities, you know, the irrational kind that only maturing a bit can solve? Yeah, those ones...changes things quite drastically. And I like it.

**cough** However, I was so drunk New Year's Eve, that I spent the night puking, and then severely hung over the following day. But gosh, did I have fun. So, I'm not even going to play the "never again" card, because...I know that's a lie. XD

Resolution? Car!!! And I REALLY need to get on driving legally. I've been driving since I was like 14...but legality is important. XD

I am seriously being ruined by school though. I adore movies still, but I notice sooo much now. Stupid shit too. Such as, Journey's "Worlds Apart" is a VERY good song choice for Tron Legacy, and pretty much summarizes the entire fricken movie. XD

I'm the one in all black to the right. New Year's Eve, with friends Len and CiCi. I've tried on this thing called not wearing make-up. So far I've learned I don't have as much fun getting ready for the day, because I like coloring on my face. But it DOES take less time, so when I want to sleep, yay!

Plus, the girl that took the pic messed with the levels in the pic in photoshop. So does this REALLY count as being me? I dunno.

What makes me sick is, locally, all I've been hearing about is that the poor baby was the granddaughter of a former Philadelphia Phillies manager. I love sports. And I'm quite the fan of my baseball team...but really? I don't give a fuck WHO'S granddaughter she was. It's that she was A granddaughter, as well as a daughter and...a 9-year-old BABY. Wtf. Harming a child is one of the worst things someone can do, and this was more than simply harming that baby.

As far as WBC is concerned...ehh. It's like Rogue said. You're doing SOMETHING right. They recently protested at my old high school. They're an overplayed, unfunny "joke". I don't take anything about them seriously.

But, Go Arizona for trying to outlaw protesting funerals.

But the shooter's mental stability and what caused certain things to go on in his own mind...I just hope they don't overlook that. We need to care about WHY things happen. **shrugs** Better for future problem solving.
