Fox Article Astrology got a shake-up today when it was announced that the moon has altered the earth's tilt and changed what constellation the sun is in by almost a month. On top of that, there is debate of finally including the 13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus, even though this would cut Scorpio to a six day window. I believe that this takes effect as of this year, I do not know how long it has really been off, since as you can see from the articles there is an interpretative disagreement. Here is the new list of Zodiac signs: Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16. Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11. Pisces: March 11-April 18. Aries: April 18-May 13. Taurus: May 13-June 21. Gemini: June 21-July 20. Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10. Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16. Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30. Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23. Scorpio: Nov. 23-29. Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17. (If included) Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20. Thoughts? |

| While I'm not really up on or a true believer in astrology and horoscopes, it's been interesting to note the similarities between a person and their signs.
I've always thought of myself as a Capricorn through and through, and Brandon fits as an Aquarius. Still, I suppose if there are changes in the astronomical part of it, what difference does it really make if one does not believe in it? I mean, I was born in 1985, which most consider the Year of the Ox (fitting since I'm a Cappy), but looking at when the Chinese began and ended their year in the period I was born, I actually fall in the Year of the Rat, the year previous. Long story short, I then read the characteristics for those born in that year and felt they fit too. Really no matter when you were born, someone's going to give you a list of things that you supposedly are and you're going sit there and go, "Yeah, that's totally me." |

The zodiac signs that Westerner's use hasn't changed. The ones that did are the sidereal zodiac, which we don't follow. Your sign is the same, unless you follow the sidereal! (Last edited by Belial on 01-15-11 08:00 PM) |

| I looked up Libra (my old one) and it's kind of scary how some of it is pretty dead on. Still, nothing but speculation or coincidence in my eyes.
Guess I'm Virgo now, which I guess works a little too but I like Libra more. |
