| This was intriguing. I've read it two or three times but always at mach 3 cause I've
got lots of other crap bugging me so for some reason finer details escape me but I liked it. I think the fight scenes might be a little too detail oriented but I like that kinda fight anyway so not sure how much of a difference it'd make. Will re-read again and make a better post later. Off to work now. *bounces away like a cracked out rabbit* |

| I don't have direct experience really, but I've had some friends deal with absences
like this in the past. It's hard, no question. But he's not abandoning you. It's a career and growth type of decision. I was in ROTC in Highschool and nearly went into the military myself. Didn't for personal reasons. Been thinking the last couple days that it might be a good idea. Shortest term possible, Army, school help... it might be a useful idea but also right now I couldn't. I have too many responsibilities here at home to be able to leave for any length of time, much less an extended stay. The military can be very good for a person. Discipline, growth, maturity. All can be a result of military service and all I can say is if you guys can weather the separation he will be a better man, and a better boyfriend more likely than not in the long run. Best of luck to the both of you. Tell him not to break his master chiefs jaw with a wrench like my buddy did. *smiles* |

It's better to explain to children. At a young age children can process information and learn better than any adult because their minds are still young and haven't been programmed with the patterns of prejudice and bigotry that unfortunately runs so rampant in this very closed minded American society. More parents should talk to their kids than constantly trying to shelter them. |

| Kids that are sheltered become indoctrinated with their parents views and beliefs
which are not always correct. Children today still are affected by their parents and grandparents views of racism and bigotry. The whole civil rights movement has not moved nearly as far nor as fast as it should have and there is still racism running rampant in the United States. I did not say that sheltered kids would immediately become homophobes and commit hate crimes but they are more prone to being unable to accept such things and not react violently which is a failing of the human race in general. If it's something that we don't understand or is outside our experience we fear and hate it on general principal. I apologize if my first post did not make that clear. 3 years old to 8 years old is the best time to teach children. Anything, not just about the world at large. A well educated child could be fluent in at least seven different languages by the time they enter middle school. They could be proficient in mathematics and science by then as well, easily grasping trigonometry and advanced algebra before highschool. Teaching children is the best thing to do, sheltering them just makes their adult lives more difficult than they have to be. |

| I was just wondering how many people realize that this movie is a remake, of a
remake? The book came out, I am Legend. Then the movie with Vincent Price The Last Man on Earth then, The Omega Man with Charleton Heston. Now they've titled the movie with the same title of the book. This also allowed them to re-print the original book with a new cover with Will Smith on it, thus selling more. Makes good business sense from the authors perspective. I'm not saying anything against this movie as I've not seen it yet and no matter what I do intend to see it. I'm also positive I will enjoy it immensely, I'm just wondering how different it's going to be from the original Last Man on Earth |

| They did a live action version of DBZ a long time ago. I saw clips of it when I was
back in highschool. It was probably the worst peice of crap ever to be filmed on this mudball of a planet. Without looking at the link at the top of this thread in advance of posting this reply I can't really formulate an opinion but like Cairoi said, this could either be the worst, or best movie ever. I reserve Judgement until after I see it and can then spend twelve hours solid ranting about how they ruiened different things at which point I will then say, "Other than that it was pretty cool." |

| To be perfectly honest I haven't seen a movie from.beginning to end in a while. I've got three kids. Interuptions abound. But... the most recent movie that comes to mind is District B13. Its a foriegn film (french) about a walled off gheto in france where crime basically rules. It stars David Belle, the creator of Parkour and heavily features amazing displays of parkour/free running.
Wonderful movie, amazing acrobaics by the two lead actors in the film. One of my favorites. |

Im married, father of two, step-father of one, unemployed but full time taking care of the two little les and going to.class one day a.week working toward a ertificate in motorcycle repair. It doesn't sound like much but I rarely seem to find time for myself these days. |
