| So... went on a cruise. Going up to the cruise I was taking Airborne daily and avoiding all the sick folk. Felt great other than normal allergies. On the ship, everyone seems healthy. Awesome, we are good to go.
Day 3 of cruise, we go swimming. Salt water gets up my nose (really really salty water fyi). Irritates sinuses and causes infection. Spend rest of cruise through today with sore throat, coughing, sneezing, pain in my sinuses, congestion, and the worst runny nose of my life. Doctor confirms my theory about the sea water. She can see the inflammation from it kicking my allergies into overdrive. Nothing she can give me that I am not already taking. Lesson learned: never swim in ocean without snorkel mask or nose clip ever again. |

| I managed to score the day before off as well... which is both good and bad. Good because now I have two days off and had time to get last minute stuff for today. Bad because I had one day less to personally help prepare for the Black Friday event tomorrow... that they gave us way too little time to prep for in the first place... and my stress levels are kinda through the roof. | |||

| Happy that the weather was pretty good on the cruise (just humid).
Happy that Kaleb enjoyed flying (he had never been in a plane before, and was really anxious about it... so I got to bask in the feeling of being right) Happy that our dining companions were actually fun to talk to. Happy that we had amazing crew to help us. Seriously, the ship itself had some issues, but the crew was just phenomenal. Happy that no pick-pocketing occurred in any locations. Happy that we got to have fresh coconut on the private island thanks to Ben and Kaleb being weird and awesome. Happy that Kaleb's job interview went well yesterday (he got laid off right before the trip). Happy that I got to drive his rental car while he was in the interview. It was a 2016 Toyota Corolla S... and it was shiny. Happy that I did not hit the wild turkeys that crossed in front of me yesterday. Happy that Kaleb got me the Civ 5 game with all expansions as a birthday gift. Gonna go play that now. |

| I didn't even notice it, but good on them. It's no different than any other family, so they should totally be represented. I still find it so weird that people still get bent out of shape when they use an interracial couple in an ad (Cheerios), so I am always happy when companies decide to show non-white hetero couples in their marketing.

| Fuck Frito Lay for laying off my friend right before his vacation and the holidays. Seriously, what asshats.
Fuck Sam's Club/Walmart Corporate for their stupid way of handling the Holiday Savings and Black Friday events. SO many levels of Fuck You on that one. Fuck the computer for breaking down FIRST THING on Black Friday. Seriously. Fuck the gift cards for not scanning right. Fuck Lexmark printers. Just fuck them. I hate them SO much! Fuck the yule gift I ordered for Ben arriving broken in half. The seller better help me with replacing this or I am going to be fucking pissed. Fuck deer... two of my friends have hit one this month... one of them was the one that got laid off. Not cool. |

Civilization V - my friend got it for me for my birthday. I've only had like one day to really play it so far... but... well... I looked up and it was turn 350 and like 2am when I needed to work at 9am. Warm things... it is winter, so I've been spending my time resisting the urge to buy all the warm fuzzy socks and sweaters at work... mostly because it is freezing at work. |

My grandmother passed right before Christmas after we moved here, so I feel you. This year seems to be the year of "meh"... no one is really doing anything. My friends here and I are having a little Yule party, but that is about it. Got a few people presents, but otherwise I think this year people are just getting peppermint bark and that is it. |
