Well, if the issue was tough questions, that would be one thing, but when they decide to take the time to talk about Fantasy Football instead of questions that actually matter, we have a problem. I won't take all the blame away from the candidates, but I honestly do not think I've ever seen a debate moderated that badly before in my life. It wasn't about the questions, I thought, it was about the disrespect being constantly shown by the moderators.

This most recent one I haven't seen yet, but from what I've heard, it went a lot better in pretty much every way than the one before.

Yeah. I have to agree that the moderation has been crap. But even crappy moderators still deserve some modicum of respect.

I wasn't able to see the last debate... I think it was the second Democratic one... I was stuck at work until 11pm at night.

So, I'm a pretty hardcore conservative, but Trump is terrifying now. Seriously, he talks like somebody on one of those ultra-republican message boards. Nothing but racism and prejudice. If he enacted even half of what he's suggesting, America will be turning in the wrong direction.

Seriously, if he gets the nomination, I'm going to have lost all faith in my party.

I could not agree more... I tend to take comparisons of modern politicians to Hitler with a grain of salt... but this time... it's really not that far off, and it is terrifying.

What is truly scary though is not that he says these things, nor even that he might seriously mean them... it is that he says them and people cheer.

It is the year 2016. Donald Trump was elected as the 45th president of the United States.

"My fellow Americans... what the fuck? My entire campaign was a joke and you all ate it up. I wouldn't even vote for myself. What's wrong with you?"

Later events would reveal that Donald Trump had made a bet with other countries that his country's citizens were the dumbest, and his election made him the most wealthy human in history.

I'm waiting to wake up from this nightmare.

I hope.

How this guy is still going, yeah, I kind of hate living here right now.

Anyone else think it is bullshit that the Democratic debates are scheduled at the worst times and advertised like half as much?

So, the Iowa Caucus is only a few days away and the political circus train is still going strong.

Does anyone have predictions for how the first primary vote will go?

I was terrified that Trump was going to win, but I was pleased that he didn't. I figure, say what you want about Cruz, but he's about ten times better than Trump.

As for Cruz, yeah, he's pretty hard line tea-party, but I respect that he's willing to openly oppose his own party, and I like how he's classy about referring to his opponents, even saying he respects Sanders for actually being honest about who he is.

As for the democrats, neck-and-neck, which doesn't surprise me for Iowa. I think it's going to be close overall, but I'm pretty sure that Clinton is going to come out on top. She would be the first woman running, and a lot of people really liked her husband when he was in office.

Terrified might be an understatement. It is an absolute nightmare to imagine Clinton or Trump running this country.

What worries me is that Trump might have been right when he accused Cruz's people of going out there and falsely claiming Ben Carson was dropping out, so they threw in behind Cruz. I'm screaming in my brain, "No, please! You guys really just sobered up and changed your minds at the polls, right? Right?! Oh please be that!"

I'm honestly surprised that Carson hasn't actually dropped out.... of course, the same can be said for a lot of them.

Yeah, I actually felt bad for him when I saw that clip.

So... New Hampshire... not surprised with how well Bernie did... kinda sad that Trump got so many votes though. I watched the speeches afterwards and was honestly far more impressed by Governor Kasich's speech than any drivel that came out of Trump's mouth.

Kasich is quickly becoming one of my favorite candidates just for how positive he is all the time. I support it.

As for Trump winning New Hampshire, I wasn't too surprised there. I don't think he'll do too well in South Carolina though.

Voted in the primaries today. It was hard, but I don't think it will make that huge of a difference by now. The way it's looking, it's going to be a contested convention for the republicans.

Did you vote Kasich? If so, good for you. He's the only one of that ticket running a clean campaign.

Yeah, I went for Kasich. He's not going to win, I don't think, but I just couldn't make myself vote for Trump, and Cruz has fallen a lot in my eyes recently.

But where I live, NC, it's not winner take all, so my vote helped him at least a little bit.
