| A friend suggested having a wedding where the bride and groom's first dance was to "Rains of Castamere" and all the guests pull out Nerf guns and shoot them. Sounds fun.
This has been a weird and tiring day... week... month? Fuck. All right, there was the trip last weekend, and I've probably talked everyone's ears off with that one and then the week was spent taking my cousin and her daughter around a bit. Friday, went to Brandon's great aunt's funeral. It was open bar and people were double-fisting drinks and there was tons of food and desserts. Well, at least one ton. I'm actually not kidding. Got a bit buzzed. Saturday, took my cousin around a bit more. Got a bit buzzed. Sunday, my grandmother's 93rd birthday. Took cousin around some more. Introduced my parents to new places. Sat up 'til 3 in the morning talking with my cousin about her father's murder and the issues she's had with her mother. Monday, today, got up at 5 a.m. to leave the house at 6 (again, after going to bed at 3) to drive down to Ramona, through the tight, winding mountain roads to be a character witness for a couple friends having issues with CPS. |

| My energy and patience have been spread so thin the past couple weeks.
I'd almost think I was PMSing, but it's way too early for that. My cousin's "control freak" friend that she invited to stay at our house is getting here tonight and my cousin's currently vacuuming and getting everything ready. There's been more than a few slight insults about the condition of things in the house this morning. And her driving is insanely bad. She does 50 mph on the highway and sits at green lights. She texts while behind the wheel and doesn't seem to process my directions right off when I tell her which lane to get in or where to turn. I've also been sucked into some of the theater mom drama. I keep having to tell myself, "Not my circus. Not my monkeys." 
Anyway, I'm exhausted. |

And then it would rain every afternoon/evening and make it worse. At one of the Disneyworld parks we were visiting, it started pouring, shutting down EVERYTHING and the employees forced everyone into the giftshops, claiming it was was for safety reasons. Yes, you could hear lightning striking things in the park, but it was also pretty suspicious that the prices on towels, hoodies, and ponchos went up between the last time we were in the store and when we were shoved in during the rain. Fact: While I've said that I never want to go to Florida ever again, I've still kinda of wished to return to see Gatorland and the Weeki Wachi Springs mermaid show. | Kind of difficult to say since I've gotten many things that had no really good use, but the givers usually meant well.
I suppose the least meaningful were cigarette smoke-smelling pieces of casino merch my gambling aunt would give as Christmas gifts. We're talking ugly sweatshirts and such with the different Indian casino logos on them. These were things she'd get for free from gambling so much in their establishments. Do historical inaccuracies in movies that take place in the past bother you? |

| Saw How To Train Your Dragon 2 in 3D. I really liked it, but I still like the first one better.
I'll definitely need to see it again, if only for the fact that, in the future, I probably won't be spending the last half of the movie desperately needing to go to the bathroom. |

| All right, I looked up that thing that Jaime and Tyrion talk about. Yeah, it's some good info to have, especially ending with the two brothers sort of estranged from each other, but I'm happy with how it played out on screen, all the same.
What I read: Spoiler:
Jaime tells Tyrion that Tysha, Tyrion's first wife, wasn't the whore he thought she was (referring to the story he told Shea and Bronn in season 1), and that she was just a chance meeting on the road who later slept with all the guards because Tywin paid her to. And when Jaime asks Tyrion if he really did kill Joffrey, Tyrion lists off a bunch of evil things Joffrey's done, including that he was the one who hired an assassin to murder Bran Stark after his fall from the tower. Then Tyrion just says he did it and leaves. Did I get it right? Anyway, this is stuff I don't really consider a spoiler (I mean, it would have been cool to have read that for myself in the books and get that elaboration, but this is fresh and I already know the major things that happen in the scenes that follow). |

| I don't trim their claws all that often. I've probably done it twice on Miko (who's 10) and maybe -- MAYBE -- once on Tiki. I've only used human nail clippers on them, held their paw so the nail comes out and nipped off the tip.
Of course Tiki doesn't like anyone touching her paws, so I doubt I've even done all her claws at any one time. I figure since they don't attack the family and they need them for self-defense as indoor/outdoor pets, they can keep them as sharp as they like. Granted, it's a bitch what they've done with the living room armchairs and the old upholstery on the dining room ones. What's the last thing you went, "Oh fuck it, I'll buy it" with? |
