We had a pretty fun day. Went to a few museums and a couple tiki bars. Best part was getting to go through the Natural History Museum's temporary mummy exhibit, just Bran and me and no other visitors. |

Fuck that my mind can't bare to go without being filled with existential dread. I keep thinking something bad is going to happen or my mind keeps dwelling on negative things that have already passed. My mind also likes to flash in some truly horrible things all throughout the day and fixate on them.  |

| Yeah, but it ended on the 18th. I'd been meaning to see it, so I went ahead and shelled out for the tickets to go on my birthday. Thankfully, we got there early enough that there wasn't anyone else in the exhibit other than people who worked there (security, occasional docent.)
The Bowers Museum is getting a mummy exhibit in a couple months. Though the exhibition has a different name, it almost seems like it's the same one that's leaving the NHM. |

| Yeah, I've only got 3 days worth according to my saves. As in 72 hours, not, you know, a couple times over the course of three days.
It's just that I've been playing as a Minuteman and there are a ridiculous number of missions to play on that. You'll be on your way somewhere and suddenly a settlement is under attack and if you don't go to them right away it comes up as a failed mission. I know I'm supposed to be looking for my son and all, but there's just too much shit to do. |

| Huh, will have to look into him. The extent of my listening to podcasts is just listening to whatever's on NPR, which does play a lot of stories about history on shows like Radiolab and occasionally Snap Judgement.

| "The Reverant" was great.
"Legend" (starring Tom Hardy^2, not the '80s Tom Cruise fantasy flick) was pretty damn good. And "The Devils" (1971) is probably one of the most fucked up movies I've seen in a while. |

| One of my friends got fired from work last week, along with another activities coordinator who actually only got promoted to AC from DSP the week before. Another AC quit earlier this week and one just started her leave of absence to have surgery. A DSP broke her arm and has been forcibly put on leave and an AC, who's quite the drama queen, tripped on the driveway while spotting a van and took a week off.
We've been VERY understaffed lately. We already had two DSP slots open that we're hiring for, now we're out 5 people, not counting the ones on leave or absent for one reason or another. Shit, I have so much paperwork to do. (Last edited by Rogue on 01-25-16 09:36 AM) |

| The new Megadeth album came out Friday. People keep saying it's great, but the lyrics are right wing conspiracy theories and loaded with xenophobic sentiments. Dave Mustaine is just not that great of a singer on top of things. Can they re-release this one as an instrumental album? | |||

Happy that Gallifrey is on the horizon and we'll be working on it. Happy that we might be going to Arizona next month (or at least the next month after.) Oh, and yeah, I guess I'm happy I got engaged.

| I've been in sick limbo for more than a month, where it feels like I'm getting sick, but I seem to be fine most of the time.
Doesn't help that I'm surrounded by people constantly getting sick and cough in your face and their group homes won't come get them so they're "our problem." |

| I'm buried in so many books right now. It's ridiculous. I'll be in the middle of something and then go out and buy more or order more holds from the library.
Currently going through Nicholas Pileggi's "Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family." Next up is "Prisoner of Tehran." Previously read the latest "Vinland Saga" book and was trying to start up "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World," and before that I dropped "Wolf Hall" to start and finish reading "Ladies in the Parlor." Worked a convention this weekend. We ducked out a little early on the last day since it was Brandon's birthday and fuck working on a weekend for free when you can be doing better shit elsewhere. This is probably going to be my last year working this con. It moved from L.A. to Ontario and it just seems like they keep treating Brandon like shit when he works tech, which they completely overhauled for the worse this year. |

| I get dizzy sometimes (no other medical explanation other than the dizziness is either caused by stress or migraines.) It varies. More common things are that I end up stress-eating or have trouble sleeping and wake up frequently and remember there's something I'm worrying about.
What do you say at job interviews when they ask, "Why should we hire you instead someone else?"? |
