I felt the same way actually. My grandpop is a movie buff, and always talked about "Rocky" and I was like "Yeah, whatever." I only recently watched them....well, not so recently...It was the summer between 7th and 8th grade when he bought the boxset of the five of them and we spent a whole day just watching them. 
You don't have to be a boxing fan to enjoy it. I sure as hell am not a boxing fan. Though, then again, this all took place in my own city, so I guess there was the whole local interest that was able to draw me in as well. But honestly, I suggest you give them a try. Not because I really like them, but because I was like you at one point, indifferent, and then I changed my mind. :p |

| So, I quickly skimmed the most recent two pages of this forum, and didn't see a thread like this, so....(Oh, and I couldn't come up with a good cheesy title...)
What do you people do with your hair? Like is there a certain length you all like having, certain way to dye it? Curly, straight? What about the opposite gender, any preferences? After I got my shower today and got dressed and everything, I realized something...when dry, my hair is slightly past my waist (with the exception of a few strands in front from a haircut I got over two years ago, but they're long too). So I finally achieved a goal I've had for a few years...my hair is long.  It's also dark. It was dyed black like 3 years ago, but my natural color is that brown that almost looks black anyways, so...it wouldn't have been much of a difference if I had gone from my natural to the black, but I had dyed it auburn before the black. 
It's also straight...like, really freaking poker straight and VERY difficult to curl.  I'm going to dye it again soon though...Im young, so I gotta ruin it again and get it outta my system. I'm going to do it this auburn-ish color again, only it'll be kinda purplish (I've seen it before, it's actually really pretty.) and then the bottom few inches black. **shrugs**
As far as the opposite sex...I don't really care...unless their hair is longer than mine is now, then there might be a problem. |

| Wouldn't say looooong...s'pecially since its not thick, so it doesn't look as good as one would imagine. :p
But yeah...now that you mention it, Xeo, I've heard a lot of people say they thing it's more attractive when girls wear their hair down. I wear mine down most of the time anyways, once in a while I copy one of them anime-like styles, most of it down but a braid somewhere, or something...but other than that, I'm too lazy to put it up. |

Scrolled along the most recent page of this forum and didn't see one for this movie...so...
Anywho, I don't know much about the film. I saw a preview for it on the "Clerks II" DVD and all it said about release date was "Coming Soon" But as far as I've gathered, it's about this group of diehard Star Wars fans who embark on a journey to see "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" on Skywalker Ranch before the actual release date...or something like that. It looks hilarious though and something that nerds everywhere should see. Yes, that means you too, my beloved brothers and sisters here at XGF. I do remember one part in the preview though, where they run into a bunch of Trekies...a part that I find interesting, since I am a fan of both. |

| Holly caught the shard that Brad tossed her. She rolled up her sleeve and fastened the shard to her bracelet again. She clutched it tightly for a moment before releasing it. She looked back to Brad and smiled. It was a sincere and genuine smile. He hadn't betrayed her trust. However, her smile faded quickly and she crossed her arms.
"Mr. Desin, I did not mean anything remotely close to joining with the Marinae. I was just volunteering them to make sure you're taken care of and you have the essentials you may need that were left behind at the base." She looked back at Jeremy. "The Marinae would be happy to make sure you have everything you need, without pressuring you to do anything for them, isn't that right?" She tilted her head and smiled briefly before turning back to Seifer. "I agree with Mr. Desin though...it would be wise if we learned to increase our shard's capabilities...but I have one request." She steps back a bit so that she could see both Leon and Seifer. "I'd like to train in other ways too, if either one of you would be willing to show me a few pointers. I know some things, so I am not entirely hopeless." |

| Well, the board has been around for quite some time now. I count more than two years though. I always include the MoD days as well, since the majority of our members now were members back then as well...so it's the same people, same type of forums, same rules basically as MoD, we just go by a different name now. :p
So people, what's special to you about this board? If you're active enough to see this thread and reply to it, then there's definitely something about the board that you enjoy. Some of our members are known for certain things too, such as we can usually count on Rogue to clue us in on the latest in entertainment, being the movie buff that she is. Also, FX is always trying to make all the birthday threads. :p So, what do you guys think your "specialties", for lack of a better word, are? As for me...well, the board in general is kickass, but one thing that is special to me, and I gotta be the one to do it every year, is make Spyware's birthday thread, and he's gotta make mine. :p Spyware isn't as active anymore, and I haven't chatted with him lately, but he's still my buddy. See, he and I are 10 days apart. Not we're a few years apart but our birthdays are 10 days apart...Spyware is only 10 days older than me. So yeah...something he and I always thought was uber cool, and it just so happened to work out that we always made each other's birthday threads first...so, FX, dun rush to make that thread please. :p It's a while away yet though. Not 'til May. :p
Oh, and as far as "specialties" go...I don't really have any. It'd be like me trying to pick what my ultimate favorite thing is. I like art, so when I'm on an artistic kick, I usually post in the artforum a lot, others I go to the entertainment forum...and always the RP forum. Teehee. |

Anywho...kinda off topic, but for the record, I am inclined to agree with you, Logos, in saying that the SATs don't really reflect much. Standardized tests of any sort aren't that bad actually, you just gotta learn how to take them. Like I did REALLY well in the math part, but I don't do so hot in the subject usually. And just to bring my statements into the topic... This girl is messed up if she's serious. (How that relates, I dunno, but use your imaginations people. XD) |

But c'mon...if you say he's truly into the games and reviewing them...the crude remarks are a given. You can't tell me that as kickass as video games are, playing them can cause much aggrivation and whether aggrivated or not...LOTS of curses. XD

There were quite a few reasons why Holly didn't want her father to go with them. Though she spoke the truth to Jeremy, it wasn't the only reason.
