| So, I quickly skimmed the most recent two pages of this forum, and didn't see a thread like this, so....(Oh, and I couldn't come up with a good cheesy title...)
What do you people do with your hair? Like is there a certain length you all like having, certain way to dye it? Curly, straight? What about the opposite gender, any preferences? After I got my shower today and got dressed and everything, I realized something...when dry, my hair is slightly past my waist (with the exception of a few strands in front from a haircut I got over two years ago, but they're long too). So I finally achieved a goal I've had for a few years...my hair is long.  It's also dark. It was dyed black like 3 years ago, but my natural color is that brown that almost looks black anyways, so...it wouldn't have been much of a difference if I had gone from my natural to the black, but I had dyed it auburn before the black. 
It's also straight...like, really freaking poker straight and VERY difficult to curl.  I'm going to dye it again soon though...Im young, so I gotta ruin it again and get it outta my system. I'm going to do it this auburn-ish color again, only it'll be kinda purplish (I've seen it before, it's actually really pretty.) and then the bottom few inches black. **shrugs**
As far as the opposite sex...I don't really care...unless their hair is longer than mine is now, then there might be a problem.  |

| I've had the same hair(cut) for the last 6-7 years or so. Always short, slap some gel in it to spike it up a bit. But now I've gotten kind of sick of that, and I'm finally going to attempt growing my hair out.
I'm in the ugly stage right now. Where it just looks weird, and I should probably get it trimmed around the sides soon. I hate when the sides and the back start to get curly and goofy looking, while the top is still not that long. I also have callec's, a lot of them. Not sure on the spelling, but it doesn't matter ... I hate them.
For the opposite sex, I usually take a liking to dark hair. Dark dark brunette's especially, and black hair isn't bad either. I've always prefered longer hair. And oddly unlike a lot of guys, I seem to get attracted to girls more often when they have their hair up, in a ponytail and with the front moved to a side or something. I dunno, I've just always liked that. (when most guys will say they like it more when girls have their hair out. I can say the same, it can depend on my mood I guess or the girl. But I almost always find most girls with their hair up to be attractive).

But yeah...now that you mention it, Xeo, I've heard a lot of people say they thing it's more attractive when girls wear their hair down. I wear mine down most of the time anyways, once in a while I copy one of them anime-like styles, most of it down but a braid somewhere, or something...but other than that, I'm too lazy to put it up. |

| Yeah. I don't know, I guess it just adds more mysteriousness to a girl. Then there's that legendary moment of them pulling the stuff out and watching the hair fall.
(don't ask). 
Though, I'd go to say its better you have thinner hair. My hair is so thick, and I can't stand it. I'll step outside on a windy day, and my hair will get pushed around. But I dunno...I used to have thick hair, but I guess I ruined it by dying it a few times. **shrugs** And dun worry about the...can't think of how to spell it either...f it, calicks(?) I always thought they were cute when people had them, and I get them too when my hair is up. |

| It's cowlick, Kate. And unless they have really good hair or slow motion, the hair falling thing doesn't really work.
My hair is also one of those dark brown/blacks. It's kinda long now. Not really long, but more long than short.  It's really thick too, and is really unkept. I dun brush, just flatten out the messier parts with my hands.
As for girls I've always liked the just above shoulder length, and for some reason, I like the dyed black. Like the really unnatural black. And maybe some color streaks. I find that sexy... *shrugs* But I definitely need a haircut. I've also been thinking of dying it again (used to be red). Maybe blue... |

| My hair, on the other hand, is easy to get curly when it gets longer. That's why I always keep it short -- I cut it about once every six weeks.

| Most of my friends can tell you I usually just have my hair pulled back int a plain ponytail. It's quick and easy. They can also tell you I have a helmet, from all the hair spray I use to keep it in place since my hair is curly and doesn't like being controlled. My hair is about a little short of waist length if it's curled. Uncurled it's probably longer than waist length. The color is brown, a bit of reddish ting to it. Sometimes I just let it loose, sometimes I braid it (either one down the back or two in a pigtail style) and sometimes for special occasions I have it done at a salon, but usually you will find me with just a simple pony tail. | |||

| Mine: Straight and short. Somewhat darkish brown. Due to my vision issues, I keep it short so I don't need to comb it as much - my depth perception's really crappy, and I get tired of repeatedly missing the same cowlick over and over even when I am using a mirror.
On women: Not much longer than shoulder length, shorter preferably. More than a few inches longer just doesn't look right to me. I have a slight preference for darker colors, and on most people strongly dislike curly hair. I also generally prefer if it's left alone - no ponytails, braiding, or whatever. |

| Just about shoulder length and curly (i usually tie it in a bun or a ponytail ...or a topknot if i am feeling frisky) and i have three short thin beard strips...like a tri-goatee sort of thing.....and occaisionally i have mutton chops, but not right now

As I've already stated elsewhere... ...it sounds pretty cool. I'll suggest blue because that's my favorite color. :p See, and since your hair isn't uber long and all...it'd be okay for you to end up not liking it, ya know? Well, if you're using temporary, it'd go away soon anyway...
I say go for it. If you don't like it, cut it out, boys have it easy. Their hair grows faster. :p |

| My hair is this dull brown, almost dirty blonde during the summer, with a bit of auburn in it as well. I dyed it black cherry in October (think burgandy but really dark) and now the sun has faded the dye to a coppery color. Sometimes I dye it black, which looks cool... but I think I'm just going to go natural again for awhile. My hair is really thin and oily and doesn't grow all that fast (it's never gone past mid-back, currently at 1 inch past the shoulders) so dying it all the time isn't the best thing for it. | |||

| So, I got some blue/green/mostly blue hair dye. It's semi-permanent, which basically means it washes out, but after a really fucking long time. You can make it permanent by bleaching your hair first, so it "sticks" more, but I decided not to do that, incase I get a job interview... |
