Chances are, if you don't watch this now, you won't get to see it at all. I must give the guy who posted it some props though. He was smart enough to not use any words in the title, description, or tags that gave it away, reducing the chances it will get found and pulled.

I thought the first one was mediocre (not bad, per se) but I really hope this one is better, because I really like the Silver Surfer (Not the Fantastic Four as much. They are too much DC. They lead perfect lives. Except Ben Grimm (The Thing). Personally, I think Marvel should trade the Fantastic Four, minus Ben (The Terrific Three?), to DC for the new Mavelized Batman).

But the subtitle kinda bugs me. "The Rise of the Silver Surfer". That doesn't really make sense. For those of you who know the Surfer's origin, you know what I mean. For those of you who don't... Well here it is.

(This doesn't need spoilers does it?)

The story begins with Galactus, the planet eater. He is a creature that was created (that seems redundant...) at the beginning of this universe. He is of such immense power that he must consume planets to sustain himself (He doesn't actually eat them, he just breaks them down into energy and consumes that). So, one day Galactus comes to the Silver Surfer's planet (Obviously, his name wasn't the Silver Surfer). The Surfer makes a deal with Galactus. Galactus will pass by the Surfer's planet, and in return the Surfer will become Galactus' herald, scouting ahead to the planets for Galactus. Galactus gives him nearly unlimited cosmic power, and his shiny new skin. At some point the Surfer decides that he doesn't want to help Galactus kill people, and he leaves. Yada yada yada.

Yeah, I can say the same to just about everything you said.

The first one was pretty good I thought, but at the time of its release it was barely a speck of dust compared to Batman Begins. It wasn't really groundbreaking, overall good ... but yeah.

So far though, this one sounds like it could be more series, darker, and all around better.

But yeah, I myself am still puzzled as to just how exactly they plan to throw in the Silver Surfer and Galactus into this. It just seems like it could be really weird.

That trailer was awesome though. So for now I guess I can say my hopes for this one are pretty high.

Hahahaha, not even close.

The Surfer can generate beams of energy with sufficient destructive force to destroy a planet or, by contrast, generate such subtle amounts of energy to restructure the molecules of the natural pigments within a plant to change its color. The Surfer can rearrange the molecules of matter to create other configurations and can even directly transmute elements. The Surfer can manipulate "chronal" energies and thus can peel back the veil of time to witness past events or to even directly travel through time. While he can use his power to revitalize life energies and heal the wounded, there is no proof that he can create life from nothingness or return the dead to life.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

I wasn't being too serious, but I'm sure you know.

In looks, he did remind me of the T1000 though.

But yeah, I seriously know next to nothing about the Silver Surfer, but after reading that ... I'm compelled to check out some comics and stuff.

Um Technically he never wanted to work for Galactus to begin with. In the origins
during the restruction of his body to make him into the Silver Surfer he was also
brainwashed and made to be ruthless and emotionless, thus making it easy for
him to turn over heavily populated planets for Galactus to devour.

His encounter with the Fantastic 4 is what breaks the brain washing and makes
him remember his former self, whereupon he goes and challenges Galactus, using
the nearly limitless power that was bestowed upon him to attack his former
master.

... I'm a fan so sue me.

Whatever, my point still stands. So you think this movie will re-enact that encounter? Hopefully, because then we'll get to see some hot Galactus action.

And there's nothing wrong with being a fan like that. There are some subjects I could spout about like that.
