| I cannot tell what all you anime fans are raving about. I guess I have no sense of happiness or culture, or art, but what is so appealling about anime? Please try and convnice me, or 'set me straight', because I might get turned on to something worth while, or even see the other side of the arguement.

I am kidding of course, you are one of the couple people I have met that doesn't like anime and/or hates it. One thing that really bugs me, Anime isn't a show, anime isn't one thing you can't like. It is like movies, it is like saying that you don't like movies or tv shows. Have you seen every anime ever? How do you know there isn't a anime out there you like? I mean you can not like the style of art, but A LOT of different anime's have extremely different styles and plots. I mean if you saw something along the lines of Sailor Moon (The first thing that came to mind people) I can see reasons why you wouldn't like that. But unless you have seen every anime then you can't really say "I HATE ANIME." Brr.. Hate and anime in the same sentence! IT ISN'T RIGHT! (Either that or I just like anime too much.) |

Animes can be light-hearted with topless chicks (so I've heard?), or it can be really deep and... make you think... a lot more than an animated show should. It can be something to watch and think about, or it can be something to watch and laugh at. Depending on your tastes and what animes you're watching, anyway. |

| Well, here's the thing, Anime is television... that's pretty much all there is too it... if you like watching tv then you have the ability to like anime... there's just a different feeling to it because... 1. It's all animated, so you can do anything and everything easily, allowing you to have much more amazing scenes, explosions, fights, locations, or even women then you could easily make with live action television... and 2. it's from Japan, which gives it a different feeling and outlook on certain situations, Japan is a much less formal country when it comes to their cartoons, thus allowing them to show much more interesting things than we normally can here...
So, because of these two main reasons, anime has developed a following here that is taking over much of the world... I don't believe many people can say they hate all anime... fact is, if you like ANYTHING on television, then you can find an anime you'd like... and btw, feel free to send me a PM or catch me on AIM, if we talk for a bit, I'm pretty sure I could suggest an anime to you that you would enjoy. |

Just because it's something that you worship and love, doesn't mean that someone else can't be indifferent to it, or even not like it... for you to take such a stance as your previous statement implies makes you sound very Naziesque... Think about it this way, Do you like sports? I don't, and two of the people I live with fucking live, breath, eat, and sleep sports... but do they hate me for my lack of care? No... cuz they're not Nazi's... and what about religion, I know for a fact that there is no way that you are a member of every religion... To sum up, my point is, don't be an ass... stop trying to make anime into something it isn't... it's just tv... pure and simple... (Don't get me wrong, I love anime, I'm one of the one's that live's it, seen more than I can count, have over 350gigs on my comp) but it's still jut tv... to want to persecute someone for mearly not liking it... and in the same thread in which he is trying to better himself... it gives all anime fans a bad name... and frankly... I'd rather not have people like you lumped in us... |

| You guys had good points but what about Hentai Anime. You know Hentai images is most likely posting porn. According to the board rules, posting porn can lead into a permanent ban. I don't collect any animes that had hentai in it, my brother does. He had books and videos on hentai animes.
People like me hates hardcore porn but I like to enjoy watching animes and reading mangas as long it isn't any hentai. |
