Well, I mean, what bands do you not only heavily listen to, but listen to their interviews and solo albums and are generally really affected by?

If you can't tell, I'm listening heavily to the White Stripes. I think Jack White is really intelligent regardless of the fact he makes awesome music, and I own all of their albums. Read their interviews, and all their music videos and stuff.

So, what bands do you go crazy for?
Siobhan.

system of a down is really the only band that i would love even if they put out 700 shitty albums in a row because they are pretty kickass people.

i listen to system, afi, and placebo like a fucking maniac and i have been for as long as i can remember having a taste in music. sucks that liking afi automatically makes me into an emo tween though :/

Dimmu Borgir. Gods of Melodic Black Metal. They're touring near me soon, so I'm gonna try to get tickets.
Summoning is also up there. Symphonic Doom/Battle Metal. All their songs have something to do with Lord of the Rings. Hell; they sang a whole song in Orcish. I love those guys.

Honestly, despite the fact I've gotten into hundreds of bands that I really love over the last year or so (as everyone knows, all metal), Gamma Ray is still probably the only band I really "researched" and went really in depth with. I read tons of interviews from the band, though mostly by Kai Hansen, read up on history, bought special edition Helloween and Gamma Ray albums that I already owned (so I have two copies of a lot of their stuff).

Its a shame European metal merchandise is next to impossible to get around here, or else I'd probably own a few shirts or whatnot too. But oh well.

I personally met Hansi Kursch, the lead singer of Blind Guardian, and I seriously love the band. FUnny, my dreams came true because he was playing one of his concerts on Disney property, so I got a chance to meet the guy.

SO yeah, anything Blind Guardian. I love
