really. they are all SYMBOLS. they only have meaning if you give it meaning. if you choose to give a symbol meaning, fine, but don't think that a symbol specifically belongs to a certain religion. many christians i know dislike the symbol of a cross and specifically only want a symbol of a CRUCIFIX for representation, because that actually shows jesus and yadda yadda. many witches use pentagrams or inverted pentagrams, and many of these witches are not wiccans, although many are.

some satanists use an inverted pentagram when practicing witchcraft or to display their beliefs, but god please don't go calling it a "bad symbol". all it is is a little design someone created to represent something. don't get your panties in a bunch. the only reason anyone would label anything associated with satanism as "bad" is because they are ignorant.

Let me clarify:

the inverted pentagram=bad in wiccanism. I don't know the meaning in satanism, I don't know it's meaning in xtianity,
I don't know if it even exists in buddhism,
but I don't care and I can't be assed to look it up because I'm not talking about any of those.

that a symbol is only a symbol when it's assigned meaning and that meaning is relative to the religeon in which it is used.

we've already established that:

a) many symbols re used in many different religeons to represent different things
b) just because a certain symbol such as the pentagram is associated with a religeon such as some form of satanism does not mean that it represents this religeon 100% of the time
c) Generally speaking, You'd do better to try patronising someone dumber than yourself, next time you want to make a point by trying to make other people look stupid make sure you understand the post.

I don't claim to know much about other forms of satanism but I am a proud and very much practising LaVeyan satanist.
