| Its getting seriously out of hand here at the house.
Well, At about 1, I got home today, sat in my room, and was just doing some housework. Then this guy calls wanting my dad. Here is exactly how the first call was. T = Telemarketer D = Dale (me ) T: Hello, is Dale Hall availiable? D: Jr. or Sr.? T: Well...Ill call back later *Click* ....Ok, that was weird. 1 1/2 hours later. T: Hello, is Dale Hall availiable? D: Jr. Or Sr.? T: Sr. Sir D: Hes not availiable at the moment, can you leave a message? T: Thats ok, Ill try back later. 1 hour later T: Hello, is Dale Hall Sr. available? D: No hes not. T: Does Mr. Hall live there by any chance? D: Well, he lives here with my grandmother. T: Oh, do you live there? D: (Lying here) No sir, im on vacation. T: Oh, where are you from? D: Alabama (Oh wow) T: Oh thats neat, so how is your vacation? *Click*....*CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK* I swear to god, if he calls back, Cradle of Filth will blare on my speakers. >( So have you guys had something like this? Also, is there a program on Windows that lets me call and receive phone calls? AND! If someone does call, whats the best program I can use that can capture our conversations. FINALLY. Where can I host the conversation so you guys can hear this XD actually scratch that. I hate this form of advertisement... I wonder if ANYONE buys from those people... It was funny before though, because my dad had nothing else to do and kept someone on the line for about 15 minutes, then at the end just said "No thanks bye," very abruptly ending the call.  |

| When I was 13 I was on the phone with one for a while about long distance service and said I would go along with what they were selling (mostly because every time I said no, they wouldn't let me go and I didn't want to just hang up on them). She said someone would call tomorrow to confirm the order and that if I backed out it would ruin her rating as a salesperson for her boss.
The next day when someone called (early in the friggin' morning, I might add), I just told them I wasn't interested and to cancel the order. For fuck's sake, I was 13. I'm not going to buy an 800 number just so people could call me for free. A month later, she calls back to rant about her rating dropping because of me and how it's put her in complete mental anguish. I said, "I'm 13, I didn't sign anything, and I changed my mind," and hung up. A couple days later when my dad asked me why this crazed person kept calling our house, I explained the situation to him, he laughed his ass off and after he dealt with the person (several colorful profanities thrown in), she never called again. | I've never had a telemarketer call that was that aggressive. The last time a telemarketer called my mom accidentally hung up on him. |
