| Sorry non-Southern California posters, but this is another of those announcements to those who live in this area. The announcement is extended to those who find interest in it, though, if you happen to be in the area or want to visit.
The first of the list is Brandon (Zoso)'s band, Voidcrush, is playing a music festival at the Queen Mary on June 16. They'll be opening for bands such as Unwritten Law, Mickey Avalon, and Zebrahead. The entire event will be in support of a charity called Stand Up for Kids. Tickets will be going for $20 if you buy through them. They're going for $20 through TicketMaster, but then they're also tacking on several convenience charges. Buying tickets through Voidcrush would greatly help them out. Thank you, everyone, for all the support thus far as well. Tickets and such on their website: http://www.voidcrush.com The other announcement: For some reason, while Pat (Junkie) and I were out today, it was decided that there would be a gathering June 23 in which we will all contribute some form of lesser drunk beer, try a whole lot of new brew, and have a good time. As he dubbed it, it's the Alcohol-A-Thon. There are rules and so on posted on his website: http://aa.patrickbetts.net/ For the most part anyone can come, but it's recommended (by Pat) that they be 21+ and that they bring their own beer. | Yes, Alcohol-A-Thon because we will be drinking nothing but beer! Yeah none of that heavy shit at this party. And since its only new and relatively unheard of beer, it should be quite interesting.
Now, go forth and read the rules at said link provided above. And yes I know that I am posting on this board, for the first time in a long as time... Don't expect me to stick around too much. |

| Due to some bullshit from the management and some shady dealings with the guy in charge (he changed out the headliners, Lit, to some MySpace rapper who was boo'd off the stage opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers, and didn't inform ANYONE), Voidcrush has decided not to play at the So Cal Rock Revolution this weekend.
They are, however, on that same day opening for Midnight Insanity's Rocky Horror Picture Show performance on the Queen Mary. And in regards to the Alcohol-A-Thon, a week later, please check in on the site asap. |
