Hmmmm I think the movie is it's last hope now.......Bumblebee?

Maybe if they started airing the very older Transformers shows they'd be a little more popular rather than making new stuff.

They will fight human enemies more often than Decepticons? And what will these humans be doing, polluting the water so the Autobots have to go an teach them about enviromental safety?

Bumblebee has always been around though, so that's fine.

I will probably see it on my summer Vacation. Since I leave on the 5th, and movies don't usually come in here til' a few days after initial release.

My review of the movie is forthcoming! But first, you must do something, when you too go see it.

In the end titles (Before the credits roll), you may notice that certain letters have a glint on the top (sort of a horizontal lens flare). The letters seem random, but I think that they are not. They may spell something. So, when you go to the movie, bring a pen and paper, and write down the letters with the glint. Check the opening titles too, they may be there too...

Yeah. It was great. I saw it today (just got back). The theater was hot, but by golly, that didn't ruin anything. The action was almost overwhelming sometimes.

Spoilers

Starscream is in it, and kicks butt. He even survives to the end, so I smell a sequel (other Decepticons survive as well). The movie captured it all quite well. It's pretty long, but it never feels like it's drawn out. I don't really like trying to describe much, I just really liked it.

Fin Short Spoiler

That cartoon on the other hand, still looks gross.

The movie was very well done, you just have to remember that it wasn't a remake. It was an update. Transformers have been getting more and more complex in design since G1, and this really has potential to reach out to a new generation of fans who might not have much exposure to transformers except as nostalgia from their parents. The movie was amazing, a short ramp-up leading to one action scene after another, complete with a poke at what an idiot the president is. I'm pulling a torrent of the film right now, actually. Just saw it this morning and I already want to see it again.

Well, an update would be a continuation (like how Serenity was a continuation of Firefly). Which would, of course, mean that Optimus was dead. He's not. It was more of a re-envisioning. Speaking of:

Spoiler:
They really wanted you to think that Optimus was going to sacrifice himself, just like in the original movie. They were really, really blunt about it, too.

"If I must I will put the All Spark into the light in my chest."

"But that will destroy you both."

I just saw it, and it was awesome. Seriously, freaking, awesome.

The only complaint about it is that it didn't concentrate on the character enough, and so when one of the Autobots died, I just thought, "Oh." and moved on.

Of course, it couldn't have really added any character without making it reach three hours.

There was one thing my friends and I were talking about, and thats the black guy always dies in the movie.

Did you notice. . .

Spoiler:
Jazz, the black autobot, died? XD

Not trying to sound racist or anything, but my friends and I thought it was funny because we were debating about it. And that movie closed it for us.

Also

Spoiler:
What ever happend to the scorpion robot that attacked the military?

Changed the thread title.

Magical change of thought I guess or I just decided to me more open minded ... but, I think I'm going to like this movie. Maybe quite a bit.

Red Spoiler Time!
Scorpanok, a Decepticon, got away. So I assume he'll show up later, since he was heavily damaged.

I just watched it today as well...and...I LOVED it!!! I was a BIG fan of Transformers as a kid, cuz my brother-in-law was into it and whatnot. But anywho...there are however, a few ways that I could pick the movie apart. Some technicalities and whatnot...I don't mean picking things out as far as comparing the movie with the original animated series, just things within this movie alone, if that makes any sense.

However, those things were able to be easily set aside and I enjoyed the movie thoroughly. And I'm sorry, but I LOVE Shia LeBeuf(sp?) I dunno why. He's just got such a charming personality.

Question, why did their transformation time change so drastically. First, it's 8 seconds. Then 3. Then a quarter of a second. Then 7. It bugged me...
