I missed my period in May and June.
It came the day after Anime Expo (early July). HUGE relief. Then it came again the day after Comic-Con (a couple days ago). Worst fucking cramps I've ever had in my life. So crippling in fact that I've been having trouble walking straight since the period started. Okay, I get it--it was all because of stress. DID IT HAVE TO HIT ME TWICE FOR JULY?!?! |

Ouch that sucks. Mine have been so bad sometimes that I'd get sick cause it hurt so bad. I feel for ya. ^^jjjjjj
You just gotta lay down, take some medicine for it, and sleep if you can. I also heard that warm compresses (or something like that) on your abdomen helps. |

I have friends that will personally attest that sex also relieves the cramps.

Originally posted by nuit I'm quite sure it does (since exercise and heat relieve them). However when cramps usually occur, it's the heavy days (the first 2 or 3 days) and believe you me, that's just too messy and rather disgusting during that time. |

If this doesn't relieve your period pain, I don't know what will. |

I know how you feel Rogue. I used to get the cramps that you felt in the back instead of the stomach... there were days when I didn't want to move. You could always try going on the pill or the shot, it reduces the intensity of the cramps... though the shot has it's own issues that I am just not going to get into here.

Heh, if you took some Vicodin, I'd bet it would relieve 100% of the pain you feel. I remember that I was perscribed Vicodin when I had a bad ear infection (it hurt hell), and holy crap, that did the trick.

Ironically, the second day that they were unbearably-bad I had taken half a Vicodin (which would probably have been enough) and it seemed like it did nothing at all.
Oddly enough pain killers just don't help much for me--definitely not Midol, Pamprin, Tylenol, Advil, or Ibuprofen anyway. |

I remember back in high school...it was horrible. I had a cyst though, so that contributed to it. I would be in so much pain, and if the pain hit me fast enough, I usually passed out. That only happened in school really, since I was most active during those hours. But yeah, the pain was absolutely excruciating back then.
Now, I really can't complain too much. I mean, it hurts like a bitch, but nothing compared to before. A lot of it had to do with health issues, that I have now thankfully outgrown. I'm even regular now. |

Small question...
Am I the only one that gets very frisky the day before my period? Because I think about how long it's last been since I've had sex (about 5 months) and why I'm not getting any now. >.> Just wanting to know. |

Actually, True, I'm right with you on it. I always thought it was something about our primal urges and such.
Every weekend since that friggin' period has sucked so much. Last weekend I was unbelievably sick and this past one, the wisdom tooth I'd been meaning to have pulled that was growing into my cheek was making it damn near impossible to do anything without my face being in complete agony. Had the tooth pulled this morning. Gonna take a bit to heal, but it's OUT! |
