Yeah, I wasn't confirming that Nathan is dead, but seriously, they sure like to lead up to everyone thinking he is.
I mean, Matt was shot 4 times in the chest last season finale and came back without a scratch. Same with D.L., but then he got taken out at random by a coked-up club-goer. Getting shot doesn't mean anything on the show really, but this saving people with Claire and Kensei's blood is just getting excessive. Agreed on the thinking the season finale was going to be worse. I truly thought they were going to take out most of the new characters introduced the season (Monica, Maya, Elle, Kensei, West) and starting over with the third. They did take most of the new characters. Alejandro, Kensei, Maya (for a second), Monica (or so we thought for half the episode), West (what's going to happen to Claire and West?! OMGZ!), almost all of the new characters are dead.
The one person I feel terrible for is Micah. Seriously. |

Since a lot of the people who read this thread don't follow the RP or the discussion thread that goes with it, I'll post these things here.
Wireless' blog: http://samantha48616e61.com/ If you remember, Wireless is the girl who has the ability to lay the Internet out in her mind and respond, post, and find things without a computer whatsoever. She contacted Ted in the first season and only comes up in the graphic novels and on various websites. Mohinder's website: http://www.activatingevolution.org/ Primatech Paper's phone number (cracks me up every time): 1-800-PRIMA16 (774-6216) They also have their own website, http://primatechpaper.com And there are so many other sites out there on top of these. |

Finale was good, although I really wish we were getting another 15 episodes. Also, I really hope next season doesn't follow the formula of seasons 1 and 2. If so, I may start to lose interest. If you don't know what I mean, the major plot of both seasons went like this:
Obviously, since it's only happened twice, there isn't a pattern yet, but I see one beginning to emerge. While we're here, I say we take a poll on our favorite characters. For me it's definitely Hiro and Bennet. I've got Kensei and Mohinder for second. Peter's almost there, just because of his total bad-assitude. |

Well, at least its pattern isn't as predictable as Lost's.

I think the main thing Heroes has above LOST (which I love as well) is the extremely cohesive and epic plot. Although I am still excited to finally be able to see season three in a week or two...

My favorites:
First tier (My nearest and dearest favorites): Bennet, Hiro and Ando. Even before people began to think Bennet was good he was a favorite for me. Long before Company Man, he had me at "Suresh must be as common a name in India as Smith or Anderson here" (or something like that). Second tier (I'd probably be bummed if something happened to them, but I'll get by): Nathan (d'oh), Mohinder, Matt, Sylar, and Isaac (D'OH!). Third tier (Those who I'm really liking and are really gaining ground with me. Just wish we'd get to see them more): Monica, Molly, and Angela. EDIT: Add The Haitian to the third tier. He's been back and forth between the second and third, but we didn't get to see him near as much this season. There are other characters that I like, but I just don't know where to place them. Like Kaito Nakamura, for example. Or Claude. Favorite guest stars, I guess? (Last edited by Rogue on 12-06-07 04:06 PM) |

Originally posted by Super HiroOriginally posted by Rogue Seriously. I was laughing my ass off at that line, being a huge Matrix person back in the day. And it was even funnier coming from someone who appeared to be an agent. EDIT: After re-watching the first episode to get the line right, it goes something like this. Matter of fact, you can almost hear Agent Smith say it as Bennet's talking. Bennet: "Going home to my family. These business trips are wearing me out. Suresh, huh?" Mohinder: "I'm sorry?" Bennet: "Your name. On your license there." [Camera pans to Mohinder's taxi driver's license posted in the cab] "That's Indian, yes? There was a Professor Suresh at the University of Madras. Geneticist. Interesting theories. Don't think he's teaching any more. But you wouldn't know anything about that, would you? Probably lots of Sureshes where you're from. Like Smith or Anderson." [At which point, Mohinder stops the cab, gets out and runs as fast as he can out of there.] (Last edited by Rogue on 12-06-07 05:06 PM) |

First Tier: Hiro Nakamura, Noah Bennet, Sylar, Adam Monroe. Explanation: I have loved these characters since their conception.
Second Tier: Nathan Petrelli, Matt Parkman, Mohinder Suresh. Explanation: These characters I liked from the beginning and grew to love. Third Tier: Isaac Mendez, Peter Petrelli, The Haitian. Explanation: These characters I liked and close to love, but not there yet. Least favorite characters: Angela, Bob, Niki, Maya. Angela is a bitch, Bob has his hands too muddled in everything, Niki repeats the same damn lines over and over again (please stay dead), and Maya, ehh. Why did she get to live and not Alejandro? |

Heh, Angela. I kinda like her because there's really nowhere to stand with her.
When you're first introduced to her she's just been arrested for shop-lifting socks because she "just wanted to feel alive again." Now her sons hate her and she's proven to be the brains behind several world saving/destroying schemes. And for some reason the Haitian answers to Mama Petrelli. EDIT: Oh and totally agreed about Maya. It was so fucking irritating that they brought her back. There was so little development with the twins altogether, I'm surprised they didn't pull what Lost did with the characters that people didn't like and bury them alive. We still need some serious answers about Peter/Nathan's mother and whether or not she has some kind of ability herself ... and she's definitely still hiding stuff.
She's one character I've loved to hate throughout the whole series. (Last edited by XeoLVII on 12-07-07 04:02 AM) |

She doesn't have an ability, because in one episode she gets a bloody nose, and it's red, and all the people with abilities blood is black(ish). Check it out. Although in the episode Four Months Ago it really seems like she's using an ability of some sort on Nathan's wife.

Question: Does Mama Petrelli on Heroes have a superpower?? Amanda
Ausiello: She certainly does. And it's very similar to a power possessed by another hero, only in her case, it takes a lot less effort to get from Point A to Point B. That's from Ask Ausiello. She does have a power, and honestly, man, the creators have never said anything about the color of anyone's blood being a factor of ANYTHING. |

Another thing comes to mind. With both of Micah's parents gone, because it's possible that Niki really didn't get out in time, will Micah go the way of the villain mastermind?
Someone on the 9th Wonders board (I really don't follow most of anything that's said over there outside of the 1000 Cranes thread) was stating that they had a theory about Micah pulling together some machine that would lead to the world's destruction or something of that nature and the specially-abled characters who've just recently lost their loved ones (Peter, Maya, etc) would band together with him while the other "heroes" and the Company will band together to stop him. It's really far-fetched, but you never know. |

That was most likely a combination of lighting and such.
She HAS a power, we don't know what. It's like somebody elses' power, but she gets what it does done faster. The creators have stressed the importance of the brain in determining powers, and that it's not in the blood. And honestly, what I see happening with Micah is that he's going to be obsessed with stopping crime now. He's wanted to now and with both his parents gone kablooey, it's the only reason for him to live, I suppose. |

I did also dwell on Micah becoming an anti-hero like Batman. Then I thought of the irony of it since Batman's gadget-driven with computers, cars, and other devices.
Claire's blood looks red to me. Just sayin'... |

So uh... my day today.
Ali Larter gave me cookies she baked herself. Greg Grunberg ambushed me, putting his arm around me for pictures with the sign I made for the WGA picketing Universal Studios. Didn't realize Jack Coleman was standing behind me until I turned around. Jack Coleman, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Greg Grunberg and Dania Ramirez posed with my sign. Christine Rose, Masi Oka, Dana Davis, and all the others mentioned sang Christmas caroles with the lyrics changed to WGA strike-themed. I had an oddly comfortable conversation with Greg about Adrian Pasdar's YouTube videos (one of them is posted in my profile). Asked some of the writers about the show. Apparently were the full season to happen, Wireless/Hana would have been making a few choice appearances. Taught a couple people how to fold origami cranes. And watched Jeph Loeb and Kristen Bell get really into each other. EDIT: Pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/78171287@N00/sets/72157603434690508/ Posing with my sign. Masi walks the line. I just heard a really crazy theory that I'm beginning to like...
I do caution you, that if you read this, you must not get angry or anything thinking I spoiled something. I simply heard this on another forum and am repeating it here. Not official or anything, but down right cool in its own way. You know the cockroach that you always see here and there? The one that was in the cell at Primatech with Sylar? The one standing on the brick Sylar used to kill the guy who was going to turn in Maya and Alejandro in Mexico? Remember how Mohinder was saying to his class in the very first episode about how cockroaches are much more evolved than man and that he believes that if the most evolved is that which is created in God's image, therefore he believes that God is possibly a cockroach? The theory I just read about suggests that the cockroach is really the believed-to-be-dead Dallas Petrelli. Just checking up on Sylar, can transform into an animal and heads up the Company as the strongest of them all. All we know about Dallas is that he somehow had a mental ability, but if he's the most powerful it would explain how his son, Peter, became an empath. |
