I know there is a thread on this topic, but it's way old...

Spore is once again scheduled to be out: September 7th 2008.

I've seen some clips for this game... and although I'm not much of a PC game-type person... this game looks bad ass!

For those who don't know what it is:

Spore gives players their own personal universe in a box. Create and evolve life, establish tribes, build civilizations, sculpt entire worlds and explore a universe created by other gamers. Spore gives players a wealth of creative tools to customize nearly every aspect of their universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even UFOs. Players can then seamlessly share their creations with the world or explore infinite new galaxies created by other gamers.

The demo of the creature creator is out now as well.

My friend made a pikachu with it. It looked wierd with human-like hands and a round tall instead of a spiky one, and he reckoned it looked like a pervert when it fell in love. XD
