Looks really badass. But come on, give the Stormtroopers a chance! Talk about ultra Jedi.

Waitaminute! Stormtroopers = Empire. Another adventure which takes place parallel to Luke? Or another rise of the Empire?

That Did look cool, but I diddnt know what was going on other than the fact the Jedi person was wipping some ass.

And if that was actual gameplay (Which I doubt it was, no HUD or anything was shown, but then again, I could be wrong ) I think I will be more focused on killing people in the most hilarious ways possible rather than the actual storyline.

This is an old movie, but I read a new article about it. Basically, you play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice attempting to wipe out the rest of the Jedi (So it's pre Old Trilogy).

That actually wasn't anything more than a lot of computer animation happening on a computer which could fully rend the 3D models. That was actually Lucasarts saying that they could do it, rather than consisting of them doing it themselves. It wasn't gameplay, it was a nice video.

As for the style of game, it's going to sort of have the morality thing, like KOTOR. That means that there will be a good and bad ending to this game, sort of like Jedi Academy, only with more than one time that you make your choice.

On a side note, yes, this is going to be pure awesomeness.

Its this shit right here is the reason on why I am proud to be a gamer. People are thinking differently in the videogame franchise, and nothing is better than Eye Candy.

I also like the different perspectives on games nowadays. Great example of this would be Hideo Kojima's work, with each game he created, it wasnt the story itself that grasped me, it was the work and balance on what the future can hold. From improved Graphics, to Survival, and now for the future title: Sound.

From the tech demos I have seen here, Im actually quite shocked on what games will hold in the future, and even though I never seen a (star wars) movie in my life, I will definately have to play this game.

Edit- minor corrections

Heh, I went to the panel for this game at Celebration this past weekend.

They went over the exact same things that are in the videos Byte posted. Exact same wording since the guy doing the talking was there for the panel along with the two main characters Juno Eclipse and, for the moment, Vader's unnamed apprentice (he'll have a name, but for now they aren't disclosing it).

The panel was saying that throughout the project their main motivation for the past 2 years working on it was to show using the Force in ways that haven't been shown before, thus whenever the directors asked of the designers/engineers what this game was about, they'd all answer in unison: "Using the Force to kick someone's ass."

Super bump. Well, just about a month and a half away and I can't wait. Hopefully, the hype didn't ruin this one!
Spoiler:
Fat chance, but at least you get to play as Vader in the intro stage!

EDIT: I messed up the spoiler tag... Again.

Also, the Aprentice's name has been revealed...

Spoiler:
Starkiller. Sounds a bit lame, but the name has been used in a lot of different Star Wars games, so who knows...

I actually didn't know that yet! Maybe I should dig around for more dirt on this one. Either that or wait patiently, but there's almost NO chance of that happening.

I'm not super psyched about this game. It looks like more of the same, but with the features one would expect from a next-gen game.

Force Unleashed is going to kick ass.

Too bad the sonuvabitch got pushed back....more than once I believe. =/ But it's one of the few games that I have actually reserved and have paid in full.

As far as the apprentice's name....that was the name Lucas had planned out for Luke. Skywalker was NOT in the original script. Yay for useless knowledge.

And if that is the name, (this I haven't looked into too much) then that's actually pretty awesome, if you're a SW movie buff.

Hmmmm...I totally forget how to do the spoiler tag, but it's info that's been leaked, so....

The game itself takes place in the realm between episodes III and IV, and your jedi is a secret apprentice of Darth Vader. As far as gameplay, the powers look pretty kickass. You get a kickass force pull in the beginning that only gets better. Also, it's a tad bit more realistic. So when you're strong enough to move ships or whatever, don't pull them toward you, cuz you'll kinda like...die...you know, cuz you just got smacked in the face with a spaceship.

Yay G4. Sometimes.

Well, a demo hits XBL tomorrow, so we'll see if it more than just a next-gen version of the Jedi Knight games (not a bad thing, but if it is, I probably wont end up buying it, just renting).

Awesome, I had no idea a demo was out tomorrow. What's wrong with the Jedi Knight games though? I loved the first one (Dark Forces II), though I guess they did seem to get gradually worse ... never finished the other ones.

Nothing's wrong with them, but it's being hailed as revolutionary, and it just looks like more of the same. Also, Jedi Academy was the best.

I'm pretty psyched to play it after watching some gameplay videos. I'll probably end up renting it ultimately, I doubt I'll buy it. Even so, I still really want to go at it. It's looking pretty over the top.

Hopefully my 360 will be fixed by the time it comes out. Doubtful, but meh.

So I played the demo, and I was right. It is more of the same with next gen goodies. But the goodies are so... good. I'm grabbing this on launch.

Yeah, that's how it plays. Nothing is quite as satisfying as grabbing a tie fighter from the sky as it tries to strafe you, holding it for a moment, then throwing it into it's companion.

So I'm going to be the weird guy who plans to buy it on both Xbox 360 AND Wii. They both have unique features that I really want, so while I'll probably get it on the Xbox 360, and a while later get it for the Wii.

For those of you who don't know, the Xbox 360 version is going to have super ultimate enviromental destruction, where wielding your power looks awesome, where the Wii version is going to have you swining your lightsaber with the Wiimote, and using almost all of the force powers using just gestures. Oh, and the Wii version also has multiplayer and several additional levels.

So, pretty cool destruction with gestures, or ultimate amazing destruction with button presses. I like both.

Oh, and FX, yeah, it looks a lot like the Jedi Knight games, but the fact is, those were pretty freaking awesome, and they didn't have nearly as much force powered insanity.

Being able to tear things apart with the force is more than enough for me to want to get this game.

Do you actually have somewhere where they said that? Cause when GI had the first exclusive article about Force Unleashed, they commented that there would be a Wii version but it "wouldn't be the saber swinging game everyone is waiting for." However, the game version of the Clone Wars movie, is.
