| Someone I know came up with this today when I asked "Why didn't the world end?"
"Well, It'll take until October 21th for it to reach its maximum capacity, and on that day the black hole will be created. It'll take 50 months for the black hole to continuously build up as well as "eating" the planet, until it finally destroys the entire earth. 50 months from October 21 = December 21, 2012." |

December 21, 2012 is "supposedly" when the Mayan calendar ends and a lot of doomsayers claim to be the end of the world due to: 1) Earth's poles reversing 2) A comet will hit us and wipe out all life 3) An alien planet will come close to our planet and ruin the Earth's tides, drowning all major coastal cities and then some 4) It'll just end. It sounds like--and I'm sorry if I'm reading too far into this and you were meaning to be sarcastic--he read up on prior apocalyptic predictions and tried to validate this one. EDIT: Let's throw another log on the paranoia fire. NASA reports "Gamma-ray Burst Aimed Directly at Earth" What a surprise, more mention of black holes.  (Last edited by Rogue on 09-10-08 05:57 PM) |

| I don't believe in Black holes, Meteors, Comets, and Aliens when is comes to 2012.
That's the game I used to believe in black holes but I was freaked out when I got to the black hole on my own. Anyway, remember that Y2K bullshit before the year 2000. We really think that it would go blackout the entire world but this is ridiculous. |
