| I thought this happened a few months ago? Well, it's been nothing but bad news for the guy the last several months, I think he's pretty much done for.
As I always like to tell people, it wasn't that bad having him around, simply because he was that much of an idiot. A complete fool that made himself look like a jackass pretty much everytime he spoke out against something. So in the end, did he really hurt us too much? In no way do I respect him or like him and he's certainly given me tons of laughs, but let's just say what if we had someone in his shoes who actually knew what they were talking about? It'd be more dangerous and a heavier blow against us gamers. Alas, I clearly believe one of the biggest issues with these kinds of pepole is that half the time they're middle-aged or past that and can barely relate to our generation (a big issue with governments and shit in general?). ...just....wow. It's like watching a bad train wreck. Its so bad, but you can't look away. He is also making a movie out of his own videogame. 196-something sewer rats or some crap. It's about the war somewhere, and I dunno, diddnt care enough to give a rat's ass. But yeah, he is awful. |

He really was just that moronic at times that he came off as more of a joke. Personally, to a certain degree, I feel the gaming community needs a nemesis like him to validate our reasons for choosing to play the games we do--simply to piss this asshole off enough to open his yap again and make himself look like a fool over Grand Theft Auto. What happened to Tipper Gore anyway? Did she just shy away from his spotlight? Or did she go back to criticizing music lyrics? |

Doesn't really matter to me, unless it starts affecting my ability to run down the street and shoot hos and steal cars in GTA, or cast spells and whathaveyou in the FF series, or play with a virtual doggie (which I haven't touched since last year, I should give that game away to my cousins), strengthen my mental capacities, or any other manner of game implementation that just isn't what Thompson was getting at. Geez, if you suck at games, fine. But, don't go taking the whole country down with you because you can't play DDR. I'm exaggerating, but people like him are one stone's throw away from being gay bashers, racists, and some third thing. |
