"Isaac, this ship was here for military purposes!...", "Oh damn, we lost Hammond's signal again Isaac."

I thought that's what was up after playing it the first time. Also,

Spoiler:
That was Nicole's infected body that attacks Isaac at the end, right? So if Isaac gets owned in the face right there, and that ship makes it way either to Earth, another colony, another ship, whatever, and infects that place, then it's an easy set-up for a sequel. Surprisingly, that part startled me.

I don't know if maybe the last boss gets a few new moves in Impossible, but if he uses the same patterns that he uses in the other difficulties, then the only issue should be ammo. Since he's easy to hit and dodge.

Spoiler:
Yeah I think I kind of took her for granted, I mean, it's not everyday in the videogame the -woman- betrays you... haha. I never had a bad vibe against Hammond though, even though he seemed a bit ruthless, or whatever.

And yeah the final boss doesn't do anything new. It might have been stronger though, for some reason I just had problems at the part where he grabs you and you're hanging there having to take out those weak spots. Maybe it goes faster or again, he's stronger, but I died a few times at that point unlike on Normal. I figured out a good way to get by this though, take out 2 of the yellow weak spots, then divide a fair amount of damage between the 3 left before you take one out. The boss seems to always grab you with 2 left, so when they're damaged it's easier to take them out when you're hanging.

Oh and it wasn't pretty watching that death scene over a few times.

Back-and-forth-a-palooza continues. With possible spoilers abound.

So far only on Chapter 4 on Impossible (just started for a little bit last night). Plenty of ammo, and proceeding strong. The main parts I am not looking forward to are:

Ch. 5 - In the ER, where you have to wait for what's-her-face to open the door. Is it by time, or by killing x amount of enemies?
Ch. 5 - Running away from Mac Daddy Necro.
Ch. 9 - Fighting Fast Necros.
Ch. 9 - That huge battle in the barracks.

I can't remember many parts that would be too crazy in Ch. 6-8...

1. If I can protect her with the Ripper I'm sure you can pull it off!
(I remember pretty much having no ammo for guns except for the Ripper at that part). I think it's by time, I'm not sure ... also if you hit the Necro's fast enough climbing up on the rail (towards you) you can knock them off.

2. Yeah, that guy is such a bitch. He's not hard to get away from himself, but I remember the part in that big medical exam room with all the beds or whatever being annoying.

3. They actually weren't that bad for me. I started using Stasis a lot at this point, they still seem really weak too (when you can actually hit them).

4. Yeah, that part took a few tries. Impossible is really funny though, it was definitely trial and error for me at some parts ... whenever I pulled off a hard part, I'm like "How the hell did I do that so easily?"

10-12 were pretty easy, especially 12. Even though there's tons of enemies, there are Stasis recharge things all over.

I thought the big rooms with the three story elevator in Environmental Hazard were kind of annoying (if you know what area's I'm talking about), lots of enemies in those parts. Think it's Chapter 6 or 7.

But yeah, I pretty much never used Stasis on Normal, but man it's very nice to have on Impossible.

I started playing my Normal+ game at Chapter 12 and ... it was just way too damn easy.

Funk it, I think I'll go ahead and go for the One Gun achievement on my Impossible cleared game. I think it'll be really easy actually, just get the level 6 suit, the gun was already maxed, and so all the cash will go to medkits and Plasma Cutter ammo.

That's how it's going for me right now. Although I haven't had to buy any ammo, since I have plenty. Also, since I only have to worry about upgrading 4 things, I can use extra nodes on those doors for a bunch more ammo.

I'm on Ch. 7. The first greenhouse in Ch. 6 was hard the first time - I didn't remember there being so many enemies. So I let myself die (waste of MedKits), since I was getting rocked. The second time, I figured where the enemy triggers were and moved so I only had to fight a few at a time. The Brute in the other room was a wimp. Stasis + Brute = Dead Brute. Very easy.

Annnnd done. One Gun + Impossible brings me to 1000.

Last boss was easier than the first time I fought him on Normal.

**hip checks** Bumpage.

H'okay...I'm not gonna lie. I'm a sissy. I only got through the first chapter, and...almost shit myself a few times. Mainly because I kept hearing "Zomg, this game is sooooo scary..." And I have this habit of assuming things to be MUCH worse than they are...so little things like entering a new room makes me jump. XD

My brother is about halfway through it though. He loves it.

From the little I've played...I like that the monsters are kinda smart. Once in a room, I killed everything. Walked out, only to have to go back, and a live one is hiding under the corpses of his comrades. That was one of the more legitimate times I shat my pants.

Still though...just because I only got through the first chapter, doesn't mean I don't think it's great. Been a while since I played a game that I never WANTED to walk away from.

Did you play it by yourself? If so you're already better than one of my friends ... he doesn't play thriller games at all by himself and he jumps/screams so easily it's hilarious. We get kicks out of watching him play scary games.

I played it by myself a little...but in general, like I said, I imagine the unknown to be soooo much worse than it is, so I got too scared to play myself and just sat and watched my brother play.

I jump a lot and hold my breath, but I'm not a screamer. XD Mostly because of my delayed reaction to like...everything. Once I process what happened, it's already over.

I remember you talking about Doom 3, Spy. You'll definitely react similarly to this game.

Yeah let's just say that I didn't find Doom 3 to be scary at all, but this game is pretty damn creepy. So it might be like ... hell for you Spy or something.

Probably because we were already talking about the "freak out" crapola. Kinda takes away the "unknown" kinda dealie.

Still a great game. My brother and I just beat it, and I dare say, it's the best creepy game I've played in a while.

My brother and I are going to conquest Left 4 Dead next, and the RE5 demo, and I'm going to play Dead Space again.

You guys should check out the FEAR 2 demo if you haven't. My friends thought it was scarier than Dead Space (I disagree), but it definitely seems freaky as hell.

Speaking of Fear...I made children cry at my work...The GameStop calenders came in, and they have a pic of half of Alma's face...a co-worker held it up to mine, covering half of my face...a kid saw it and started crying. XD
