| Tai - Botamon, Koromon, Agumon, Greymon, (Skullgreymon once), Metalgreymon, Wargreymon... Does Omnimon count?
Davis - Chibomon, Demiveemon, Veemon, Flamedramon, Raidramon, Magnamon, Exveemon... Fusions are Paildramon and Imperialdramon in normal, fighter and paladin mode. Takato - Gigimon, Guilmon, Growlmon, Wargrowlmon, Megidramon, and the biomerge is Gallantmon. Takuya - Didn't exactly HAVE a digimon... But just in case... Flamemon, Agunimon, Burninggreymon, Aldamon, and Emperorgreymon... Susanumon is the merged one at the end. I haven't seen any other series' than those, but I'm hoping for my sake that they didn't keep the trend, hehe. |

If you get part of the question right you get part of the points. Here's the question. Some anime series base their characters around old tales. I'm looking for two series and the tale. The first was a huge hit on Toonami, bigger than Sailor Moon with the main characters named after the monkey king on a quest helping a Buddhist monk look for sutras. The other anime had a character with the same name, however, this series was full of bishi. This character in this series helps a Buddhist monk (who disregards many principles, smoking, drinking, etc), stop the resurrection of a Demon King. What are the animations that were loosely based on this novel and what was the story that the animations were loosely based on? | The story was Journey to the West, written during the Ming Dynasty in the 1590s by Wu Chengen. I'm not sure about the animes, though. I'm going to say Saiyuki, but I don't recall that ever being on Toonami. | |||
