Anyone got 'em? I sure do. I have a male Chiuhaha named Zach, after the best Power Ranger ever, the original Black Ranger, and the friends I am living with have a female dog named Bella. Unfortunately, she was already used to Bella by the time we got her, so to make us feel a little better about pop-culture references (because Twilight is NOT as awesome as the Power Rangers) her name was elongated to "Bellatrix." Corny, we know, but better than Twilight (I read all the books, so I'm allowed to bitch about it, I just hate it when people bitch about something because it's "cool" to do so.)

I have pics, most of them utterly hilarious, that I'd like to share, especially since Bella is actually VERY photogenic, and very patient when it comes to picture-taking. Zach is just...awkward. But he's a boy, he's allowed to be. I'll post some as soon as I get the card reader for my camera back.

How 'bout you guys? Anyone else here animal people? Have awesome pets? Questions? **shrugs** I dunno...

I actually do have a few questions, so anyone who knows anything about dogs, please let me know! Cuz I was always a cat person myself...but Zach was special, so I kept him.

I'm down to two cats.

Miko and Tiki.

Miko's the gray one, Tiki's the black.

We got Tiki a little under a year ago from a friend who picked her up off the street. Miko's been with us for six years or so.

Up until recently I had a tarantula and a cat. But sadly, both have passed away :/.

We have three dogs that live next door to me, or at least near by, so there is usually one or two in the house at some time.

And yes, you read correctly. I am badass, I am a girl and owned (and loved) a tarantula.

Not being stereotypical or anything, I'm sure all girls love tarantulas.

No, I get you. I've been told I was utterly crazy for gushing over how gorgeous they are. The only thing steriotypically gross that I can't stand are roaches and waterbugs. **shudders**

And I know you're at your prom, Phoenix, so I'll torment you about the doggie later.

What about Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches? I really like those guys too (no sarcasm intended).

Or Giant African Millipede!!

I wish that was my pet. Though it is me holding it.

You know, that guy looks kinda cool.

But I'm talking them dirty city buggers. Had some bad experiences with them and very nasty older sisters and cousins. Being the smallest never helped me much. But no, the Madagascar guys are gross too. >.o

But.. they are clean.. And not pests.. And don't fly.. And only eat food that is decomposing..

They are helpful, they never did anything wrong!!

But back onto the topic of pets. I have always loved reptiles, especially bearded dragons and snakes. I still hope to get one someday.

Hey! Buggies can be pets too! (I know I'm not using the technical term, I'm just having fun here)

And I still can't explain it. I know what they are and stuff, learned about the Madagascar guys years ago. It's just one of those things that I can't stop myself from shuddering at, no matter how they are explained to me.

I totally understand. When I was at the zoo in the insect zoo area, I would hold one of the hissing cockroaches in my hand, where no one can see it and ask a woman passing by, "If I told you that I have an absolutely harmless, slow moving, clean, helpful, non pest kind of bug/beetle in my hand, would you come pet it?" Usually people would say yes. But as soon as I said it was a kind of cockroach, they flipped out.

On a side note, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches are the only bug that can be trained, and are relatively commonly found as pets in some places.

I'm betting we've had this topic time and time again, and I wonder if in every thread for these I mentioned our weiner dog Daisy? Heh, she's like 10+ years old now or something. Finally starting to get gray hairs and she's not quite as hyper as she used to be.

Our other dog is some kind of ... doxin(?) mix, I have no idea. It's funny though, probably because she's been with our weiner dog for all these years, but she is VERY scared of dogs her size. But when they're smaller (like my grandma's dog mentioned in another thread, she's got a shitsu) she's fine, haha. Her name is Zoe and she smells a lot.

I'm still devastated my parents got rid of MY (pretty much) cats a few years ago, because of my mom's allergic reactions... yet they kept the dogs.

Charly and Leo, I miss thee.

Aw, Zach and Bella are so cute. I have an 8 year old yellow lab named Lily who's pretty overweight and has had health problems her whole life and a nameless parakeet who just sits in the corner of the living room making noise.

I've got three dogs and a cat, which gets really ineresting.

Jessie: A German Shepherd with pure german blood. In other words, its a German shepherd without any of the health problems the ones in America get. She also happens to be a complete genius.

Banjo: Another German Shepherd, although he's a half American and Half German mix. He's also gigantic, weighs almost ninety pounds.

Blondie: A golden retrieve who happens to be pretty lazy, likes to sleep, and loves food. She's still pretty well trained though.

Jack: A cat who we raised from birth. As first, we thought she was a boy, and continued thinking that until she was about a year old and the vet told us otherwise. It was a very interesting discovery. She also happens to love the dogs, despite being the size of one of their heads.

I might post some pictures later, although its been a while since we took any of them.

Really? I mean, I know alot of people whose cats get along with their dogs, but I still find it strange. If my dogs go anywhere near my cat, he'll rear up and smack them about six times before they can run away with their tails tucked. Luckily hes declawed, but he smacks them pretty good anyway.
