I'm going to have to disagree with you. I really enjoy the entire Sandman series immensely. Maybe it's because I'm a literature nerd and I read the classics constantly but his stories have that literary depth I love to look for mixed with the kind of fantasy that fascinates me. But hey, to each their own.

I am now reading the Batman graphic novel "Cacophony", books one and two of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and "Transmetropolitan".

All graphic novels, all awesome, all the time.

Hit up one of the Scott Pilgrim parties last night just to hang out and party. I'll get my copy from my local shop tomorrow before heading down to San Diego for COMIC-CON.

Just read the second issue of "Nemesis." It's not near as good as Mark Millar thinks it is. It's TMJ-inducing, teeth-gritting in fact.

Oh well, heading off to the library.

EDIT: Finished "Sandman: World's End," "Ex Machina: Smoke, Smoke," and started "Queen and Country" volume 1.

Read and finished "Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour" as well as the latest four issue arc of Groo, "The Hogs of Horder," on the way down to San Diego (it's an hour and a half trip) and I started the first issue of "Time Lincoln" before bed. I would pick it up and finish it, but I'm just sitting in the dark with the computer and I really should just try to go back to bed, but I'm feeling sick.

Got the four issues of Groo signed while Sergio Aragones showed me panels from the second issue of Groo vs. Conan (the first issue is about to hit the racks soon). It was pretty sweet.

The last Scott Pilgrim was pretty satisfying. The midnight release of it was like a Harry Potter party, but with free beer, and... well, cooler geeks.

Currently reading the Raven Gate. It was a book I read a while ago, but I dislike how it was written. I knew the premise seemed interesting, so I am re-reading to make sure my younger mind was correct.

Reading another issue of Hot Mexican Love Comics. Picked up a lot of graphic novels for cheap at con this year and I'm running through them pretty quickly. I picked up a hardcover copy of "Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born," "Flight" volume 1, "Roninbebop" and a few other books for $5 apiece. I've got loads of new comics too.

I also finally got the copies of "A Meeting of Minds" and "Out of Their Minds" in the mail. They're sequels to a book series I loved back in middle school that I used to wish someone would write more books on.

It's gonna be a gooooooood week.

I have recently started reading a collaboration of old 50's Batman comics that capture his bouts with the Joker. They are hysterical and full of forgotten characters just waiting for a gritty reboot. GOTHAM!

Finally had enough time to sit down and finish "Walking Dead" vol. 1, the second issue of "Time Lincoln," and the first volume of Mavel's Mangaverse.

As mentioned, I've had the first few volumes of "Walking Dead," but just haven't read them yet. I love how Robert Kirkman will just drop in random pop culture references, even to the point of making them a character with a different name and back story.

Time Lincoln's good. Looking forward to the next issue.

Now Mangaverse, that's another set of books that's been on my shelf for like 10 years and I have. The art is intriguing, but the writing's pretty.. bad.

Plowing through the second volumes of Walking Dead and Marvel Mangaverse.

My friend also loaned me Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, since she's always talking about those books and the Swedish movies that have been adapted from them.

School starts in a few weeks. Still have time to read the things I want to. Not like it's going to be a chore doing the reading for the Graphic Novels class. I love my university sometimes.

I read the first issues of "Chew" and "Scalped," and started on the first issue of "Witchblade," but I was outside of a club and people were starting to ogle Sara's ass

"Chew" was one comic I missed when it came out, and "Scalped" is a few years old. I love the beginnings of them both.

I finally got my package with my book today, but on a whim started reading H.G. Wells' "The Time Machine" an hour ago and I'm almost done with it. Hmm..

Finished the Scott Pilgrim series a while ago, along with the Transmetropolitan series up to book four. I must say, I love the character Spider Jerusalem. As a matter of fact, I love this series, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Thanks to Urban for lending me both of these series.

Currently, I am reading The Doppleganger Chronicles: The First Escape. I picked it up at a book fair a while back and thought it looked interesting, but the reading level is on the low side. It has an interesting layout, though. The novel is composed of both comic and regular printed text. On the left, you may have a comic page, and then the story continues in text form on the next three pages before you have two more pages of comics. It's interesting. I'll let you know how the book itself is once I finish.

So the Doppleganger Chronicles isn't that great.

I liked the idea of having a comic and a novel together. It seemed creative, but this book just didn't cut it out for me.

The plot was..okay. What got me the most is that it is a children's, and not on a Harry Potter level. I felt like I was being spoon-fed information to the point where I put the book down and very angrily took a nap.

In any case, I'm re-reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I love Greek mythology, and I thought it was modernized very well. (I also read a lot of children's novels)
