*bump*
But it's under one month..

Anyway, I read the first two books. I now understand why the one trailer is more fitting to the book series than the other. The action was introduced more than halfway through the first book, and was considered normal. I found that humorous.

I need to purchase/read the last three books before the movie comes out, but I am more excited for this than I was before.

There's a fuckton of midnight release parties for the 6th book tomorrow night. I've already got it pre-ordered from one of my usual places, but I may check out the festivities.

I need these. Simple as that.
I'm still broke from not having a job, and no one decides to call me back, but I need money. I have a list of books I need/want, and this series is definitely on it.

I won't be going to any midnight releases, and in all probability, it'll be a month before I own these. I need to find someone that owns all of them.

Vince, I'm noticing your recent posts have been depreciating in substance and quality, and this post right here is at the level where I'm putting my foot down. This post is spam. Posting spam is against the rules, because it adds nothing to the conversation and it frankly is very annoying to read. I'm giving you a warning because I don't think anyone's really called you out on this before, but you need to post with more substance, and good grammar definitely wouldn't be a bad thing.

Aside from that, pretty psyched to see this bad boy. Have no money to afford the books, so I'm just going to go into it with a clean slate.

If I somehow acquire them all before the movie comes out, I would be more than happy to lend them to you, unless you just want to go in with nothing at all.

If you guys have a library nearby, it's likely they'll have them. That's how I read the first 5 books over the years as well as over 300 other graphic novels. Even if your library doesn't carry them, you can do an inter-library loan.

So much better than reading them at the store. _¬

Yeah, I live walking distance from the library. I'll have to take a trip down there soon if I don't get a call back. I never really thought the library would carry comics, but I'll take a look. I've only gotten into comics over the past several months, and I regret not reading them before.

But I'll be sure to check

The production company keeps putting out remixes with more scenes from the movie.

It's getting to the point that I'm wondering if there will be anything we haven't seen by the time this reaches the theaters next month.

I dislike that remix, but I know what you mean. All the footage is going to be released before the movie ever comes out, and it won't be any fun.

I like it more when a movie lets one or two trailers and leaves it at that. It keeps the suspense high, and makes everyone curious as to what is going to happen.

As you're reading the books, I'm sure you might notice that Gideon (the final evil ex) is sort of kept a secret. He's always shown in the shadows and you never see his face.

But the trailers are very liberal with showing him ("I have no beef with you!" made my stomach hurt because it felt like they were giving too much away and the books haven't gotten to this final fight yet), even when it comes to showing weapons all the characters wield.

There are still some things that haven't quite made it to the trailers yet (though they are hinted) and I really want to see these things come to life unspoiled.

And hear fucking hear about the remix. They aren't quite music videos, and they've all been ending on bum notes lately. This is the fifth one they've put out. The one before it was about Ramona and it was such a downer (not to mention further exposing clips from the movie).

Yeah, I thought that was Gideon. But in the book, he's such a secret-kept character. I feel like Ramona is either still dating him, or they were engaged at one point. But don't tell Just assumptions.

As for the remixes, I don;t even want to watch anything else on this movie. I want it to be a surprise. What was in the first three trailers was almost all of the same footage, so I haven't seen too much, but I'd rather it not be ruined for me by the time I see it.

They actually haven't revealed if either are true yet.

I'm still curious as to whether or not the last book will be reflected in the movie, or if the movie has its own ending. Bryan Lee O'Malley was involved in the production and may or may not have given the filmmakers the ending. We don't know.

It might be like "Kick-Ass" which was released earlier this year. The script for "Kick-Ass" was penned with only a single issue out. While there were several differences between the book and the movie (Hit-Girl and Big Daddy's story is somewhat different), it was generally the same story, and Mark Millar was also involved in that production.

So after finishing the 6th book (and getting complimentary tickets to a preview screening next week along with my pre-order), I will say that the end is pretty satisfying. It felt like the end to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" for some reason.

There's a panel for the movie this evening. I'll tell you how it goes.

So the panel was pretty amusing. Michael Cera came out in a padded Captain America costume and didn't even take off the mask once through the entire panel. They showed several more scenes and a music video which was pretty much the scene when Envy's band is playing and Scott and Tod Ingram see each other for the first time.

Also went to the Scott Pilgrim Experience and made a Sex Bomb-omb T-shirt, watched Kieran Culkin, Brandon Routh, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead make their own, and got my con badge signed by Brian Lee O'Malley. Brandon played some of the game. It's outstanding.

So I saw it last night. While I still prefer the ending to the comic, I still loved the movie and personally I think it's the best comic book movie so far this year (comparing it to "Iron Man 2," "Kick-Ass," and "Jonah Hex." I still haven't seen "The Losers," but I'll still willing to bet Mr. Pilgrim's better).

You saw it?! I envy you.

I'm glad it turned out that good, though. So they didn't ruin everything with the overabundance of videos, eh? I need to see this really bad.

Well, at the Comic-Con panel, they showed like 20 minutes from the movie, and even after watching all of that, plus the trailers and remixes, I can honestly say there are still secrets and plenty of scenes they haven't shown yet.

The movie's 2 hours long. Obviously it didn't all make it into the movie, but what's in works.

Considering the fact that the 6th book just came out, it's understandable that the end wouldn't be the same.

So they created a nifty interactive trailer. It's still the international one, but it's got some spiffy features:
